Love this game, I prefer this settings than the previous team ninja games where its always supernatural and stuff, RotR is more grounded even thou the story is kinda wacked where you constantly be playing both faction lol
Surprisingly enough, I prefer facing grounded enemies for once. To tell you the truth, I was expecting a boss to transform into a demon at some point 😭 But I appreciate that we get to face actual humans for a change. There is always Nioh 3 if they want to bring back the Yokai
@@Djissoyeah asu h as I liked wolong it was a bit brutal with such a regular party system. For enemies that fast and large it’s better to have a sekiro style parry system, I felt like wolong story and play style were too aggressive to not have a better parry system that can keep up. The ronin parry system actually really feels good for the setting and is more strategic for the way the game plays
It does matter what gear you are using on midnight mode, and you are definitely going to have to upgrade the gear if it has the stat bonus you want, I have probably spend over 1 mil upgrading things
Actually I think the Midnight Difficulty is harder when you begin since all the enemies are empowered. But by the time you fully upgrade your personal stats (Health, Poise, Damage), your gear stats become less relevant I was conducting an experiment by stripping myself and just using one weapon with almost no attribute. The results were way closer than I thought It would be if I had all my items equipped
Completely forgot to be honest 😓 I was collecting a bunch of things across the maps to work toward the platinum so I can’t pinpoint where exactly I got them
You don’t have to play through the Midnight Difficulty to get the accessory. You can make a veiled Vow with Ryoma by the end of his quest line in your first playthrough. And I don’t mind collecting “the good stuff” in the endgame since thats basically team Ninja’s trademark. The DLCs are probably going to bring new rarities and raise the level cap. My only grip is that the story is very long if you play it as intended. So one might easily feel exhausted once they have to go back there once more

I never actually finished this game. I played for about 30 hrs and still never beat the story. And just quit playing. It's fun. But I got side tracked with other games. I decided to come back and play now tho.
That can be bought early from various black market suppliers and shops but it’s always random. It’s categorized as a redesign item similar to the eye patches and glasses. You can only access it from your longhouse under the redesign submenu. If you continue through the story missions you should get it as one of the rewards.
Wait so i shouldnt upgrade my gear, i should just wait to get to that point and do those missions instead of upgrade?, i beat chapter one without upgrading and im just about 4 missions in chapter 2, was woundering when to start upgrading but now i see may not need to.
I am still get level +100 gear and just waiting to be lucky with the set bonuses to switch. With Hindsight, it would be a waste to drop all my ressources to get a piece of gear to 100 only to find better guy at a higher level later. And since upgrading doesn’t change your bonds, I think it is pointless until you have THOSE gear you want to stick with in the long run
They need to bring back the nioh 1 style loot , the 25% close combat damage and change to attack stat etc felt game changing compared to these small 2,3% ki damage and stuff, % so small that you dont feel excited to look at new gear
Completely agree. The stats in ROTR feel quite incremental and tend to not make a big difference in the long run. I had the same problem in Wo Long but at least you had magic spells to differentiate the builds. Here, I don’t feel the need to upgrade while in Nioh I was eager to get my gear to +XX
I would use max ki damage instead of sole attempt defense. Attack + is almot useless since it maxes out at 1.5 most of the time. I would swap it for something more significant
I love the combat but i always hate the amount of shit u get cant be bothered to look at all the small extra increases, i just prefer the sekiro and ghost of Tsushima way

If you just started masterwork for me at least I didn’t get any master work gear right away you have to do a couple of mission first there is a black market vendor outside of the long house that you can buy master work gear off of also.

Oh if you don’t care about the story then yeah you can run past enemies and get to the final objective as fast as you can. It took me 4ish hours to complete the story in the midnight difficulty since I already knew where to go and what to do
I wouldn't. I would just enjoy the game, the higher level gear doesnt honestly add anything to the game unless you plan on using it in midnight, so it's nit even worth it
I finished the game in the easier mode, switched to midnight and just got repeatedly murdalised, it is absolutely brutal…I’m not sure I will bother working on timing counter sparks to get to that next level - it was fun lol … and I agree upgrading stuff in the main game was a total waste of time

Just be careful because sometimes emotions will get you into the fight and you will press Square and start fighting like normal or hard diff. with Midnight diff they can hit you Even if you hit them be really careful. And in case you Need it if you do the watchmen mission at Midnight you will also get the Blue Color the Blue Demon armor and not the red one you get from normal/hard diff. the Blue one it‘s so 🔥🔥🔥🔥😈

@@Djisso what horse and horse tack you using? Because it does help a bit for more drops Try to use sacred white horse with Tokugawa tack. Extra drops Plus all of the skills maxed out. Eventually the game rewards you with the same bonus perks at high lvl once you unlocked it once.
Some items can only be obtained through specific vendors. I think the glasses were purchased from the Botanical guy at the garden. They don’t take money for those items but rather silver coins

Question I've already maxed out the bond level with Ryoma and completed all the bond missions multiple times over just to make sure every response option in the conversations was used and I still don't see an option for veild bond is this because my main character is a guy and do I need to restart the game with a female character to make a veild vow with ryoma. My main character is currently veild bonded with Usugumo Dayu
You can have as many veiled Vow as you want regardless of Gender. Just avoid hanging out around Soji Okita after the vow since he tends to be very jealous 💀 And when it comes to Ryoma, I had the same problem as well. But I understood that some veiled vow can only be made in some eras. Assuming you finished the main game and got to the part where you get to save his life, you can keep travelling from one era to the next until you get the veiled Vow Option If you let him die in your initial playthrough, no need to restart the whole game, just use the Testament of the Soul to go back to the mission where you made a choice (which faction to side with) and choose a different one Hope it helps

I wish you didn't have to play on Midnight difficulty to get that Cologne (-1 set bonus requirement) accessory and a lot of the other stuff.
I got it from Ryoma that’s a guaranteed drop form him max him out in bond and get his love options just keep giving him items
