Maybe VW can make the touchless time a bit longer, but on a positive side it helps you stay focus while still allows you to do other things on the traffic jam
I brought Veepeak OBD BLE+ to test out on a ID.4. Can you do another video on full details of the devise. I have an ID.4 on order and want to live all I can about the batteries and other internal stuff about the car.
Hi Furkan, I love you video's! They are great. I'm picking up my ID 4 this Friday and really looking forward! I feel well prepared thanks to your video's. I was looking for one more video ;-) about "hello id". How can you "learn" the commands? Where could I find them online? And how good is the "onboard help" in the car? Thx Peter
@@EV.Furkan Super! Thx! Did you test if the car understands better "English" or "Dutch"? Is this something you need to setup? Or does it understand both at the same time?
depends on the system language. dutch for dutch, english for english. first few tries it learns your voice, after that it will understand it easier. Just get 2.1 first before taking the keys.
Wow, that's amazing. Do you move steering wheel every few seconds or is touch enough? Apart from that, on relatively straight well-marked roads without intersections, how often would you you need touch steering wheel to keep car centered in the driving lane and not worry driver's in other lanes or slightly weave, or would the car hardly ever need help?
it takes 10 sec for asking it nicely, 15s to beeping after the last nudge/squeeze on the steering wheel. Check the emergency assist video ;). My method is keep a hand on the steering wheel because touching the wheel every 10s is also tiring and this way it stay pretty long happy. Thats a difficult thing to try, we have nice road markings, but if it gets really hard to read the road the car will stop using lane assist.
Hey Furkan! When it warns you to put your hands on the wheel, is a simple touch or “tap” enough for convincing the system or your should apply some pressure on the wheel?
On my id3 at least - abs I can only assume it’s same on the 4 - pressure like a small squeeze is sufficient - unlike early Tesla’s that requires a movement
Its different for the continents: EU-Spec 1st: No EU Spec 1st max/tech/max: Yes US-Spec: Not sure if it has it at all... but they do have travel assist and it acts abit like that, but on lower speeds. Not sure if this includes stop and go without touching the throttle/brake.
Quite interesting - I had been wondering about that feature :) But! 295 km remaining range on 93% charge... That seems very low. What is your average consumption?
dont worry about the range, it was shot when it was -10-5 ℃ here. GOM is checking how you were driving the last few times and these were not ECO runs. 120 kph+ for atleast 200 km's in the freezing cold with 5+ BFT. Also no heatpump. so simple said it was my lowest range showed by the GOM to me. it was 312km @ 100%. which is an average consumption of 24.68 kwh/100km. Still on the positive side ;)
@@EV.Furkan Thx... I've been watching your videos, very informative. I'm currently waiting for my own ID.4 (not 1st) should be arriving in June. So, a loooong waiting period
@@TheOpager You hope is will arrive in June. The dealers (here in the Netherlands) got an email some days ago than delays are expected. Some fire in a chip factory? But... Our ID4 Pro Max delivery day got actually cut back by 30 days. We will (should) get it within 30 days!
put some relaxing music on and enjoy the rush hour....

I have this on my id3. I wish VW would extend the steering wheel touching time!
Looking forward to it!
Nice - thanks for showing this
Thank you
Thanks for your videos!
Superb video !

Great, you are set for EV Notify and generic OBD2 scanners(this won't always work). In the future it will give you more possibilities :)
that looks cool.

On-board help covers everything, including voice commands.

you should also show what happends if you don't touch the steering wheel
Well.. I did. Search for emergency assist. Won't do this on the highway ofcourse
@0:28 My feet are from the gas.... Euuuu... Het is een elektrische auto! Je voeten zijn ALTIJD van het gas :-)
oke oke .. stroompedaal
How did you turn on and set traffic assist?
You need travel assist.
How do you turn off heat air con completely
You press the on/off button left up under climate
Is this available on id4 first ?
Thank you

put a bottle of water on the steering so that the system will no ask you to take over it
