How did it do poorly? It literally did better than the Mercedes EQE, go compare the two and look how much the EQE's roof deformed compared to the ID.7.
2:19 great overall, but why does the car not brake in this situation and instead hit the pedestrian? I mean obviously it would have the capability to brake, but it doesn't.
in the German configurator is the head and side Airbag optional (front and back) if you order the interieur package +, so the here tested version is not the base one? its sad, that safety costs extra and is not standard at such a high priced car
They only test for things the manufacturer claims that the car can do - if the manufacturer doesn't say that it supports night time pedestrian protection, it just automatically fails that test :)
Cars withstand collisions well. People come second. My friend, an active ice hockey player, died in a direct collision with a wall, his liver ruptured. Lost control of his car in slippery conditions at 60 km/h.
Sad to hear but people don't come second. It's just that at a certain point the deceleration is just to strong and you can't help here. Cars must be larger to soften the decel / jerk.
Any new car should be able to get a minimum of 4 stars (5 should still be the goal) once in the B category and higher so the VW I.D series is no exception (it’s also a while still until the 1 A category city caris ready) Only Dacia still can’t even get 3 stars because they are so cheap with safety
@@filledwithvariousknowledge2747 , so what exactly are you saying? 1: Safety tech is free and Dacia is just mean that they don't want to implement it? 2: Safety tech is not free, but Dacia should implement it, sell the cars at the same low price and run the company at a loss? 3: Safety tech is not free, and they should implement it, but in order to sell cars at the same price, they should make cuts somewhere else? @@Nuke-MarsX why ? The electric vehicles are much heavier than gas cars. If everyone buys EVs, then people would be crashing against EVs, not ICE cars. And since EVs are heavier, we need the dummy cart to represent the mass of the average EV.
Of course, the battery acts as a major structural component in many electric cars and huge source of weight. They would not perform properly in crash tests without the battery installed.

Damn this is straight up better than the EQE

It scored 95% which is the highest amongst all the others recently uploaded.

This is an error in the configurator, as the head, side and center airbags are also mentioned in the standard equipment.

tnx for saftey
absolutely love this car
That side poll, man.
thats where most electric cars shine because of the heavy and rigid battery in the floor.
ID.3 took it even better.
Can any say at what speed car crash test has done🤨🤔??
I think it’s either 64kmp or 50kph as it was in the older crash tests
Add small overlap and increase the speeds of crashes and size of the oncoming car.

Would you pay 3-4k more for a Dacia with more safety tech on it? I think that increase in the price would defeat the purpose of a cheap-ish car.
There shouldn’t have to be safety cut to be cheaper to buy. Dacia should know this and it’s why I’ll pay a bit more elsewhere and 4 stars at minimum
