Was a pleasure meeting you, mate! Thanks for showing me around Old Dubai and for having me on - had such a blast. Now all you need to do is book yourself a flight to Bali 🫡
Another great instalment, love the variation of different photographers, Jord is the epitome of a photographer one can admire yet not necessarily shoot the same style as
Wow, I don't think I've been in this much awe of someones photos before, they are absolutely breathtaking, going on instagram straight after posting this, definitely giving Jord a follow. Keep up the good work on these interviews Roman, thoroughly enjoying them.
Roman, thank you so much for the videos with the other photographer! Recently I've started taking photography seriously as a part of my professional medium, and learning about many incredibly professional photographers with their unique styles and work in general helps me understand what I want my pictures to look like. It inspires me to pursue this yet new path and I'm so grateful for all the work that you are doing! Greetings, and a bunch of thanks from Ukraine!
Cheers Roman, it’s Sean in Atlanta! I like this new direction you are taking and I think Jordan is a very cool dude! I really like his images, especially the ladies in the rice fields with the conical hats! And it would never have crossed my mind that some of these may have been “staged“ or directed by him. Your comment that you may take some of his ideas and use them for your own photography is a Capital idea! After all, that is the highest form of compliment! Once again, Roman, you’ve delivered a first class video, and I want you to know how much I am enjoying this new direction of yours! You should get back up to London and freeze with the rest of your compadres there! It’s actually going down to 11°F here in Atlanta for a few days which is highly uncommon… Sean
Great video! In regards to the issue about staging photos and their still being art: I was surprised to learn while viewing the Elliott Erwitt exhibit in Paris last fall, that he set up many of the classic photos for which he is known. The dogs he photographed were trained animals. The photo of the boy on the back of the bicycle with the baguette was taken several times to assure that the subjects were in focus and that the shot was interesting. There were a number of others that do not lose their artistic value by being staged, but I do have a different perspective on them realizing that they are not spontaneous street photography.
Great episode, Roman. Been following @Jordhammond for a while and love his work. I really really enjoy these videos. You showcase photographers who have different styles and approaches to the art. All of which helps us, your audience, to see the work of some brilliant photographers.
Really good series you’re doing here. I realised I was already following him on IG. He has a talent for this style of photography for sure. A great eye. Everything is magazine ready. He must be in pretty high demand.
His colors, the greens, are unbelievable. Also, you were in Dubai and I saw many tourist types pass behind Jord. But I never saw anyone with a camera around their neck.
I felt the pressure to get a prime lens (still want one) but after watching this I'm real happy to see Jord take these incredible shots. I'm extremely new to photography less than 6 months but Im loving the content
Documenting people and places is my jam so I prefer 35mm mostly with 50mm for docu-portraits. If I was riding around doing travel-esque shots like Jordan I would for sure be using a 24-70.
Another great video: really enjoying these interviews. Quick question: can street photographers use/sell shots with people in them without model releases? The stock agencies don't seem to accept them 🤔
I watched Preet first then this video Roman both excellent I'm killing some time this morning been up for hours its only 07.47 now really enjoying the videos they make you think out the box which we all can learn from Jord makes it look easy but we know it really is not i take my hat off to him I used to use only zooms but now I'm only using primes the more compact the better.......
2015/2016/2017 was a golden year to start photography on Instagram. Most of travel photographers who were uploading photos around that time probably make a full time job doing that now a days. It’s highly competitive now
I'm extra grateful for this video since it made me think about the travel photography in general. Photos of Jord are amazing, no doubt about it, there is just one thing I could notice and it made me feel uncomfy. I could see photos from these places before from another travel photographer. In my mind the travel photography is about freedom and discovering new and unusual, not about going to photogenic place and take pictures which has been taken by others many times already. These photogenic places exists partly just for the sake of being photogenic. Is it good or bad? I don't know, but maybe they way how Roman is making photos will show the reality of the place better.
A long time ago in 2017/18 (I doubt Jord remembers) I used to live in Italy, and at the time I was getting this super secret and hard to get to shot in the mountains of Slovenia and Jordan happened to be following right behind me and told him how I got to the spot. My only passing with him haha
Hey Roman , a bit of feedback , maybe a suggestion . If you mute out "and the next question is " it would perhaps sound more natural and less like an exam . Like you're conversating as you go . besides that good job 🙂
Well you are certainly mixing it up with this series. From the low that was the vacuous, non photographer M.C. To someone with a real talent this time.
Am i the only one that thinks he is not really answering the hard questions? Or that he feels awkard and maybe anxious? (by the way he always looks away and his energy) Amazing photos someone said in the commenets breathtaking and i agree. You have to believe in God and miracles though to think they are not planned. I don't want to say staged because it has a negative feeling. Take as an example the way he took the shot on the escavator. That is his process i beleive. Is it good ? Is it bad? Does that process takes the wow factor from his photographs? Everyone will have a diff opinion. :) Have a great day everyone.

What a treat !
Love this series Roman... definitely keep them coming 👍🏾🙂
He does exactly the photography I aspire to do, his work is amazing
You and me both! RUclips only suggested him to me a couple of days ago, and then I see this on Roman's channel. I am in awe of his work.
Another great instalment, love the variation of different photographers, Jord is the epitome of a photographer one can admire yet not necessarily shoot the same style as
I’m loving these guest photographers 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I need a new jaw after seeing Jord's photos! What a great photographer! Thanx for the beauty Roman!
0:47, I think I see a photo op behind you. HAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!
Good job Roman, don't stop 👍
Loving the interviews… with each new one you get better and better.
This series should keep going.
Another great episode with plenty of colour and sunshine.
This is a great series indeed. First one that I haven't heard of before. Awesome shots.
Really enjoyed your interview with Jordan, great to discover new and interesting photographers in the way, will certainly check out Jordan's work
Jord shows the difference in a holiday snap and a travel shot taken with a photographic eye looking for light, contrast and composition

Thanks for another great video. Noticed you using xh2s? Did you not used to use the xt5?
Yes and still do
The international version of Paulie B!

What country has Roman travelled too?
UAE
