Damn, this shit is the best cadence I’ve ever heard! Seriously haven’t heard anything like this. Mad props to you fellow drummer! 👌🏼 Looking forward to your future pieces!!
Nice cadence, but the tap off is written incorrectly compared to how it sounds. On beat 3 of measure 2 you’re missing a sixteenth note rest. Unless if it’s just hard to see and there is a sixteenth note and an eighth note together. Otherwise, it’s very creative! Well done!
It is hard to see actually since the video resolution is at 720p. M2 B3 is 16th rest, 16th left, and then 8th right. You can download the PDF in the description through dropbox just to be sure
Looking at it myself, the old style I used with MuseScore 3's initial launch is hard to read. I don't think it is an issue with my newer cadences however
They sound even better in my latest videos I think. What I did actually was take each of the samples and tune them to modern intervals (basically the intervals every DCI line nowadays use). I also did some EQ adjustment along with other filters, though I do need to work on that to improve the sound even more. If you want more details, feel free to ask!
Indeed I have as well as the tenors. I’m still doing a lot of tweaks, but in terms of EQ and compression I think I have the sound I want out of the basses. Since the recording of this track, I’ve fine tuned the intervals so it would be a bit more cleaner for future cadences.
Zachary Brenna Depends on which sound library you're using. Are you using MuseScore's MDL extension? Or are you using Virtual Drumline or RUMBLE in Kontakt connected to MuseScore?
Daniel Makes Cadences ok, thx. I was attempting to play the snare part and was curious to know. I have a playlist of cadences and yours is in there 😄. Your cadence is fun!
Select the notes in question, open inspector, and there should be a tick box for that says "small". Make sure to only select the notes and don't include the beams and stems and all that. You'll have to do grace notes separately too
Looking through all of my work that I've posted and I actually agree with you to an extent. A lot of the stuff I've written would be better for a drumline battle or street performance situation. I've heard a lot of feedback that it would be hard to find downbeats (this has mainly been a complaint with this cadence in particular). It was a lot of fun to write though. I feel like bands could adjust rhythms where necessary to suit their needs.
That 12 8 transition was GORGEOUS my guy
This cadence slaps. It’s got such a good groove too it. Keep up the good work!
Yeah marching band would be less dorky if they knew how to work their basses better like this instead of the usual little drummer boy type stuff.
Those rolls sound like 32nd notes.......🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This shit is the best cadence I’ve ever heard. Seriously haven’t heard anything like this. Props you fellow drum mate! 👌🏼
Jig 2 🗿
I taught this to my collective drum line and holy crap did this brighten the rest of the year
Glad to hear! Send a video if you can!
This is by far my favorite cadence
absolutely awesome, it's great on it's own but that 12/8 section sealed the deal. plus the transition was super clean. incredibly groovy and fun!
This cadence goes really hard. Great job you deserve more subs.
Damn this has to be my favorite cadence now
definitely the best drumline cadence ive seen on youtube ever
Creative and not too difficult 👍🏻
The bass drum part is a bit hard
Amazing as hell
god its so good to hear what a good drumline is capable of, miss those days
Oooh the metric changeup feel @1:00 is superior good stuff my manz :O TASTYYYYYY
LOVE the 12/8 groove
that transition to 12/8 went hard
Dudes, I haven't heard funk this hard in so long. Keep writing this stuff brother.
That 12/8 section is smoooth. Great stuff.
Yay pop off daniel 💯💯
awesome 12/8 section!! i mean the whole thing’s great, but that 12/8 part... MMMMMM
Oof that's got some tough spots in it! Super fun looking!
dang 1:00

I love this so much
Our band teacher found this, so sent it to me and were using it in our Christmas and New Years local parades
Very cool! Do you have any videos you'd like to share?
that 12/8 part goes hard
I think I am in love 😂😍
Sounds great.
THIS GROOVE I DIG IT

Musescore link don't work?
Is measure 2 missing a 16th note?
No. The video quality makes one of the eighth notes look like a sixteenth note.
the bass drums sound soooo good in this dude, awesome job!! was it just an eq adjustment?

Hey Daniel! I hear you might have tuned the basses?

@@DanielMakesCadences assuming this is musescore, how do you do that???
Zachary Brenna Depends on which sound library you're using. Are you using MuseScore's MDL extension? Or are you using Virtual Drumline or RUMBLE in Kontakt connected to MuseScore?
Daniel Makes Cadences I am Using stock MDL
Zachary Brenna Stock MDL as in the one that comes packaged with MuseScore? Or is it the one available through downloading an extension?
tried to use the musescore link but it says musecore without an s
LOL my bad. I'll fix the link
@@DanielMakesCadences ok the link takes you to musescore but now says it is unavailable to the public lol
@@spenceweb Weird. I didn't private the score, I just made it unlisted.
@@spenceweb I'm going to be redoing my entire channel and MuseScore page throughout December so please wait. For now, use the dropbox links
Is the note that looks like a target a ping shot for the snares?
SoundNote Studios Yes those are ping shots
Daniel Makes Cadences ok, thx. I was attempting to play the snare part and was curious to know. I have a playlist of cadences and yours is in there 😄. Your cadence is fun!

damn son where you find this?
menamanu What do you mean?
@@DanielMakesCadences its a meme XD for bobs burgers pretty sure but its a basically a complement
menamanu Ah, I’ve yet to watch that show. Thanks though!
So you said you composed this with MuseScore. How do you get the smaller notes for the solos notated in musescore?
Select the notes in question, open inspector, and there should be a tick box for that says "small". Make sure to only select the notes and don't include the beams and stems and all that. You'll have to do grace notes separately too
Daniel Makes Cadences thank you! I’ve been wondering how for a little bit
What sound library do you use for this?
I use Virtual Drumline (also known as VDL). It costs $200!!!
measure 25 A+
WTH bro I might quit after hearing this
Too busy for a cadence
Sounds like a skill issue tbh
have you heard of a thing called bunco and the rules associated with it
