I've been using the Razer Siren Mini since October 2020, it was my first Mike. I have had nothing but a great experience. The Mic has very good quality. If you are going for the *Advanced* functions this isn't for you. But if you want a simple, good quality, and durable Mic, pick it up! It's value for Money and reliable. Best First Mic ever.
Hey im thinking about getting this mic. Do you use a mic arm? Or do you just set it on your desk? Idk if i can get an arm but still want this mic. Just dont want my keyboard to be too loud
@@wzuuoskqo4932 I don't use a mic arm but the audio is perfectly fine resting the mic on your desk. If you want it higher you could keep some books under it like I do. Boom Arms are not necessary. If you're keyboard is too loud, add a pop filter they are quite cheap.
I *literally* bought one today because of all the positive reviews that I've seen, and it's nice to see it still holds up. Great video :) As a side note, do you / anyone else have any tips for voice recording and editing?
Watching this with my Razer Seiren Mini in front of me Well my tips is to set the levels in the Sound settings to at least 90, if u face any problem of input volume being too low.
I have tested both seiren mini and solocast, sure solocast have many great features but those vibration is killing me, i like them small so i can bring them anywhere when i'm working and need it for zoom meeting and i wouldn't waste my time bringing boomarm & shock mount everywhere i go But if you use it for streaming or youtube video, which mean you will have a shockmount & boomarm, then i extremely recommend Solocast, warmer sound, fuller bass, less harsh sibilance, great features, better connection and longer cable... But here is a better alternative, Samson Q2U, a dynamic mic with connection of both XLR and USB, it's the best budget microphone with same price for Solocast
@@outl1t It's pretty good sounding for the price, just make sure not to use it in a noisy enviroment otherwise it'll pick up tons of noise but otherwise for streaming and chatting with friends it's perfect 👌
I know its double the price at $99.99 but I returned the Razer Seiren and got the Blue Yeti instead. Much clearer audio with a dedicated volume/gain/mute controls and built in headphone passthrough.
LMAO rippo wish I saw this hold up review along with the comments before picking one up. It was on sale around me during the time, but I’m sure it’ll be fine I hope lol Maybe just find an eq plugin for OBS
Here in 2024 Wal-Mart is selling this Microphone , and I got 1 about a month ago , and it has improved my audio a lot over the Web-Camera Mics and Lap top mic as well , I bought a 2 year protection plan , I had no trouble getting it to work , I tried some other USB Mics and I could not get them to work , this one no problem , I saw a video few months ago of this Microphone ,and they have added an up grade to this Mic , I don't have it with the Up grade , but I bet it would be handy , they have added a button at the top , so now you can mute this mic . When Muted that little green light is turned to red . Comment posted 06-04-2024 .
Do you already have an audio interface or do you need one? An interface is required for an XLR setup and it would be tough to fit the microphone and the microphone within the $100 budget.
I wanna use this for my Samsung Tab S7, but the only usb port is for the charger and it takes a USB-C, not Micro USB. If I got a micro usb to USB-C converter, do you know if it would work? I'm super tempted to get this mic lol
Do you recommend this more than the solocast, because im starting as a streamer in ps4 and Im really confused, I dont know of to get the solocast, or the razer, I have a lot of background noise and I want to cancel the most of it
I would get the Solocast instead. For $10 more, you get a mute button, a much better mounting mechanism, and better sound/sound rejection. However, these being condenser microphones naturally pick up more outside noise but offer greater detail to your voice in exchange. If you want something to minimize background noise then you need a dynamic microphone instead.
is this mic good for voiceovers and voiceacting ? i mean im not searching for something professional , just for my own fun will it be better than my bad phone ?
Razer needs to pull their f'ing head out, No idea why they thought it was anywhere close to being acceptable to sell a product after 2019 with microUSB. Still, I just ordered it anyway because of the value of 59 AUD, but still a bit salty that Razer thought this was OK to cheap out on, I'm sure they saved a total of 2cents by inconveniencing everyone with a microUSB connecter instead of USB-c
@@TechSummitTV I literally record my videos (you can see in my channel) with this mic. With the same position but It just doesn't sound like yours?? Do you think it sounds the same? What mic levels is your mic at? mine is at 70.

Turn off all the effects like suppression, echo cancellation, etc. and just use Nvidia Broadcast (RTX/GTX Voice).
