Weirdly I think the OG Mini sounds better. V3 isn't bad especially considering that mute button which is useful feature but when it comes to pure audio I feel like it sounds just a tight more compressed.
I got this exact Razer Seiren V3 Mini USB microphone for my upcoming podcast show and love how compact and portable this mic is for me. Am ordering an pop filter needed coming soon
@@maegnificant I live in a small apartment with limited space. This is all I can do until I hope I get a chance to move to a place. I don't like a bunch of wires everywhere
It's like a giant Pepto Bismol capsule. "The chocolate coating makes it go down easier." I didn't mind its sound at all, I was most interested in the Rode NTS-mini as that's my gaming mic and never realised the bassiness of it; at least when compared to the Razer, which comes across more neutral. Noise rejection was terrible with the boom arm spring slinky-twanging (I never find your tapping test annoying - it's essential!) which is why I love the Rode desk stand. It's pretty decent for a casual working desk mic. Does it come in black?
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on it. It's not the best at rejections and that's likely because the mount is directly on the mic as opposed to a mic clip or something similar. This does come in Black, I just thought getting the pink one was funny.
Hi, Bandrew, congratulations on your channel! It's amazing! Could you help me with the voiceover mic? I don't have a treated room, so a dynamic cardioid would likely be better, according to your guide. I was thinking about the Shure MV7, but I'm not sure. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you.

Hey @Podcastage... I was wondering would you consider the Rode M2 for live use with keys in the background ? My church wanted to buy a mic, the obvious one would be SM58, but its kinda boring 'cause everyone uses it and its the bog standard. We got a V7, but we need another one as well.
How did you record the audio? Did you just plug and play on your computer? I'm trying to test my V3 Mini mic through the native Sound Recorder of Windows 11 but it sounds muffled when I play it back. 😔 Do you have any recommendation for the settings so that my audio would sound clear and crisp like yours in this video? Thank you!
Plugged directly into, recorded directly to audio hijack. I don’t know why it would sound muffled. My first suggestion is to make sure you’re talking into the front of it because it’s easy to talk into the wrong side or the top and get a muffled sound.
Hi! I just watched your other video of how to make any mic sound good and following the rule of thumb about the decibels level on windows based on this mic (which is the one I have) means that you went below 0.0? Because mine at 50% equals 0.0db. Hopefully you can see me comment or anybody that has the mic can confirm. Also if I go below 0.0db I know it might sound dumb but, would I clip or distort? Thanks!
@@Podcastagethats just taking up space. Lol. Maybe just have a take of you speaking into it and have that saved in a folder and you pull it out when needed instead of re-recording it every time. Like the u87… coulda done that once and reused it every video. That time would add up tremendously after a while. Just a thought.
I found 20 year old apple earpods in the bottom of a box 5 mins ago. I plugged them into my Sony Xperia (cellphone with a headphone jack) now I'm listening to your audio review on these very "high quality" ear buds. 😂 Idk why this makes me so happy. They sound like garbage
Another classic from Bandrew. Like the previous mini it seems to get good results for it's price. To my ears the polar pattern was barely cardioid, with little drop off as you moved away. And it heard the reflection when rear facing a bit too much. For some getting started the bigger pattern could have is uses but the rear pickup would be unlikely to help. I think the longer pickup actually helped with it on the mini stand as it didn't attenuate the voice, but the lack of rejection increases desk and keyboard noise. For a podcast/gaming mic it did surprisingly well in the music tests. So a fairly good cheap all rounder. The mute was well done, but to my ears/eyes there was a slight lag as it turned back on? So no click or thump, but a tiny pause. I don't recall that in any previous tests. I look forward to your collaboration with Neumann on the "YourHue" range of microphones. 🎉😂🧙♂️
Is there a possibility that you can show us what your microphone cabinet looks like? I'm having trouble storing my audio equipment. thank you so much. greetings from Argentina.
Thanks for doing what you are I personally have learnt alot from you regarding microphones and it helped me decide which ones I should buy, it would be really helpful if you could help us newbies add filters to our budget mics in OBS.
Sorry to have this question (maybe a bit too nooby), but the record settings are set in some specific software or did you use the Synapse razer software? I'm new in this world and I do want a good sound like the one you showed in the video. Mostly for calls in Discord, Teams, Zoom, etc.
i have a question, i know you have a lot of microphones and I've seen you review both of these i belive but what do you think about using two microphones at the same time? my specific request is a sure sm7b with a baby blue bottle as a secondary mic with slightly lower vol that a little farther away than the sm7b? i know they are both great and I'm considering buying them both for this specific reason, i think they will compliment each other very well. if possible id love to see a video on it!
What do you think would be the best Mic for under like $60-$70. My use case is RUclips recording and voice overs. I would really appreciate any recommendations you have.
This was by far one of the BEST comparison videos for usb external microphones. you can hear the clarity and gain difference between each one via voice. thanks for adding the ear palette cleansers between each mic comparison! this is probably the best budget friendly mic in the market that has good quality atm.
I don’t know. Are you speaking into the correct side of it? Is your recording level set appropriately? Are you close or far from the mic? That’s all you can really change. If it’s all correct and still sounds bad, perhaps the mic is broken.
The first 1000 buyers should pool their desktop stands in a large box and return that enormous box full of crap to the manufacturer. Do you think they’d get it?
Did you find any benefit to the settings available in Synapse for the V3? I'm wondering if they have a gate option in there like you can do with the Blue Voice settings.
