mum went to america in 1967 and brought the album back been playing it ever since -"some day later we'll get married but that coffee shop" piggly wiggly & green bay packers wisconsin we love you
In the sixites, this song was covered by a german female singer called Trude Herr. The Title was changed in to "Ich will keine Schokolade" (i don´t wanna Chocolate), where she sings about the desperate situation, that all family-members still treat her like a child by donate her tons of chocolate, although in reality the grown woman wishes to get a man. The Song became a huge hit and still is an evergreen today. The majority of Germans still don´t know that she sang a Cover of Boots Randolph. Funny how these old tunes from the real masters of 60s music are re-emerging with a new and even stronger following than they did before. Who would've thunk it?
I danced to this song to totally exhaustion - with my later wife - and decades later I learnt that a "percolator" is a .... machine to prepare coffee - wow - what a surprise!
in Germany Trude Herr was singing the titel" Ich will keine Schikolade, ich will lieber einen Mann "and was very sucsessful. In eglisch i dont wont schocolate, i perfer a man.
i will have to look it up because i dont have the vinyl no more, but glad u enjoyed it..feel free to use keepvid dot com or savetube to snag this and keep if if you like
