Boots recorded for Monument Records owned by my uncle Fred Foster. I spent some time with Monument and Boots was one of the finest musicians I ever met. I went to one of his shows where his saxophone key had fallen off in shipment to the show. He took a paper clip and made a clip to hold the key on and played a GREAT concert. What a great guy.
That's a awesome performance! My Dad Grew up with Chet Atkins as his hero and Mr. Ray been one our favorites. Us girls was introduced to him with "the streak" (Lots of references to "Don't look Ethellllllll!!!!!")and the "Mississippi Squirrel" Mr. Ray your singing was the best I have ever heard;).
Agreed! I've been playing sax for 30 years and he's one of my heros. What a sound he has! I also saw him at his club. I got a picture with him, and it's hanging in my living room.
As i understood it from a guitarist that backed Boots one night in the 1960's - at a venue in Holden Beach, NC, Boots was up on a table playing, while people stuffed money in his socks. The man was GREAT.
It just dont get any better than Ray Stevens!! The other guys too Chet Atkins, the guy on the sax knew how to make people happy and knew a lot of funny jokes and Ray sang a lot of funny songs!! Funny stuff that is as fitting today as it was back in the early 90s!
Further proof that the comedians are just really talented guys in disguise. See also Weird Al, Homer & Jethro and most of the guys in Spike Jones' band (especially George Rock and Freddy Martin)
Three legends. It doesn't get any better than this!

One of the best music videos ice ever seen! Saw Boots Randolph in his club in Printer’s Alley years ago (too many to count) and loved him ever since.

That sure brought back some fund memories of yesteryear.... Thank you so much for sharing it. Be blessed in Jesus name... BBE..
I saw Boots Randolph back in 1990 in Nashville. I wasn't a fan of the saxophone, but Boots converted me. He was brilliant!

"The guy on the sax" was the great Boots Randolph.
I remember this from my childhood. I heard this on a TV show. Loved the saxophone.

This is great. The only one that could equal it is, Sonne Mestrom with Andre Rieu in New York.
Not even close, her version was downright simple in comparison.
Before Alicia time
I had no idea this existed, only knew of the Benny Hill music.
Boots Randolph helped write it.
Haha great
The Benny Hill Show theme?
Yes
And the final chase sketch
I'm exhaust... I've been running alone around my living-room table.
Я думала,что играет Иван Охлобыстин
Not a bad interpretation of a beautiful French song. I rather think that Bing sings slightly slow.
Theme. Benny hill show song
thank you benny hill for getting it out there
🤣🤣
geft die klapjes....hihihihi..
Benny Hill. Can't be helped.
Chicken
Love this! Piano playing is spot on until he gets hits with Terrat syndrome 😏
Not the same without Floyd Cramer.
