I said "however" waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much in this video. Sorry!
What are your thoughts on the JLFD or Phreakmods "The Link" ??

Does the link that is not sanwa specific fit in a sanwa shaft? I have a semetsu ball top but will the length be correct?

Another option for removable shafts but to be completely honest, that seems too cumbersome to be doing it all the time, and if you lose the sleeve I can see it causing problems. Not a totally bad solution if you only remove the shaft once in a while.
I just love the ease of the Link. Pop it off, throw it in your pocket, strut on out of your locals.

So for tight space control panels you can now mount a joystic close to a track ball. And quickly remove the joystick when playing track ball games.

Hey dude. No idea who you are, truthfully, but I am forever in your debt. As a stand here packing for Combo Breaker 2024, this video comes up and gives me a concise instruction on how to operate this device properly in English, and I was able to detach my lever after attaching it with great gusto with a screwdriver months ago (the instructions told me specifically NOT to do this, but they were in Japanese, so any chance of being read was non-existent. My ability to pack was greatly improved thanks to you, and I am eternally in your debt. Please allow me to buy you a drink if I'm ever at a tournament you're at. Cheers!

Wish you would've compared how much the remaining shaft sticks out after removal

It'd be better to just screw on the balltop to the shaft really tight first. Then the whole balltop/shaft assembly can remove altogether by holding the shaft cover. I think you're making it more involved than it needs to be, this should be a toolless affair.
The diagrams also show to screw on the balltop first. But they really should've added a flathead slot on the bottom of the shaft as well.
That being said.. I'm biased towards the Phreakmods Link, cuz I own a few :P
The only thing I don't like about the Link is that it can get squeaky (easy enough fix with spray lube), and the shaft isn't completely straight.

I was considering getting a JLFD for an old stick I'm gonna refurbish for guests but I'm just gonna get the regular JLF. I have a Link on the stick I currently use and love it. Don't mind the ridges at all.

Detachable JLF is really comfy, didn't realize this until I traveled by plane with my regular old JLF.
I like the design of the link better, with the gearstick kind of motion, but imho they should have made the part you pull up smaller, like 1cm from the bottom. Having it half the shaft will make the stick feel different
Anyway, thanx for the good vid! Subbed

Wow that's a bad surprise for me. I saw a video (who is no longer online) where the stick could be removed insanely fast. Maybe it was about the Victrix.

Great video. Can you do a review of the phreakmods link 2? i mean the version which you can buy seperately. I own a link1 but i don't like the feeling of the shaft.

I was thinking about doing the same thing I also have silenced joystick with the higher tension and swapping it to the JLFD, but I do have a question my issue with using the link is that my 4 lb spring feels lighter only when using the link (assuming because of the shaft) have you tried different springs on the JLFD?

    Guys,
It's REALLY annoying when the balltop comes loose in the middle of playing.
You want to make sure that the balltop IS locked and CAN lock in place.
Spend the extra money and get the more reliable Phreakmods Link Shaft.
When you go cheap on arcade parts, you end up spending twice what you have to many times.

I like your videos. Some times I wonder how you pick and choose what content you talk about in your Retroarch video. What I mean is I feel you leave out some very important things about Retroarch. My biggest question is why the name Mr. Sujano?

    • @MrSujano

Thanks for watching! Mr. Sujano is my name, thats why I use it!
What content would you like me to include in RetroArch?

@@MrSujano Just some of the simple thing that could drive a new user of Retroarch nutz. Stuff like how to save changes to a core or game. Ex/ How to change to the to the Snes gamepad skin and save it to the Snes core so that that skin will not come up on other cores. Recommend some of the cores that perform consistently regardless of device and processing power. (Snes9x 2005 Plus) works on just about every Android device old and new. Snes emulation is hit and miss on Android but that core is worth installing Retroarch even if that's all one uses from it. Show how to write a .cue file so that all PlayStation games will show up on the play list. How to check if a core needs a bios. Clarify that if the user's device supports the 64bit Retroarch they will be able to find it in the Playstore and if they do not find it there the Android device does not support it. How to change directories so they can download the thumbnails/ box at to an external sd card. Oh yeah, how to use the online update for cores, content, databases, and thumbnails. How to set power management to sustained performance mode.

The Link, just a stem, it almost costs as much as a lever. But this JLFD's design is not good, you might need some extra tool to uninstall it, and it could loose anytime.

can you install a Sanwa battop on JLFD?

    • @MrSujano
      @MrSujano  5 лет назад

Oh, great question. I'd have to order one to check. I would guess yes - most likely the ones from Kori or the LB-30s should work.

Yes, you can. Battop that came with my razor panthera works perfect.
