Flat twist outs are my go to style. Here is a quick video for my chunky flat twist out. I maintain this style by sleeping in a large satin bonnet. I retest if needed but I don’t added any additional product.

Im a natural for 4 years now. My hair is at that award shoulder length in the back and neck length in the front. I love your length and hair shape. I sub'd for awhile now and I love ur vids. Nice tutorial! Did the butter have a holding element, too? I think I would need a holding product, like EcoStyler, to maintain any sort of definition over a period of multiple days.
+thehillsmd thank you! It provides a light soft hold. For more hold I would use their curly magic. It's like a custard but not as thick at all.
Can I achieve this look on dry hair instead of wet?

Beautiful. What do u recommend for those if us with thin hair. Bigger or smaller twist?
I'd say bigger. Too small will make the hair look stringy, noodle like plus you'll have a hard time creating volume and getting rid of the parts (I have thick hair and if mines are too small the same thing happens) My aunt has thin hair so that's all I know from watching her do her hair. But if you're able to get rid of the parts, I'd say go for smaller if you want a more defined look. It's trial and error so try out both to see what looks best on you.

guys I'm dealing with a big problem recently I've been flat twisting my hair and before i got mini twist (with my natural hair) my curls came out perfect but once i took them out washed and my hair and other things my flat twist outs became much more puffy then defined and me personally I like defined curls is there anyone that can help me
How do you get your hair to dry so fast overnight? My hair literally takes 24 hours to dry always.
beautifull, but how do you wrap your hair at night to make it look good for 5 days? i need to do this because i have similar texture i think and i wash or just wet my hair every morning and apply gel or leave-in, detangle. it takes me and half an hour and its so exhausting to do and get my little one ready for school aswell. thanks so much xx
BonitaMorena83 To keep it looking good just section it (do not brush or add too much product) , add some oil (if needed), and do the twists ( not really flat twists, but just a normal twist because this decreases frizz). It works amazingly for me.

I moved to Michigan and have very very hard water. do you have any suggestions for managing my hair. it has been ruined since living here. I don't use many chemicals like store bought twisting creams. I use different natural oils. but my hair work stay moisturized. it's very depressing bc it looks bad compared to 2 years ago before we moved. it used to be shiny and beautiful like your hair

Shacoria Coleman I did do that for a while and it's got tedious lol. In the summer it's ok, but winter time the room temp water was way too cold and I had to warm it up. Now I'm dealing with post partum shedding and hard water lol.

priscilla okeke I've heard henna is good. I recently used L'Oréal for dark colored hair and it worked great!
