Almost 5 years later you are still helping your fellow natural sisters because this just helped me tremendously! I always go to the salon to get my protective styles done but today I decided to try two strand flat twist & man was it a struggle. I wish I'd come across your video sooner but at least now I know where I went wrong LOL. Thanks a million!

Hey this is my first time ever to comment on a video. I know the video is old, but I have to say this. I have been trying to learn how to flat twist for a while now, and this is the best tutorial I have seen so far. Thank you so much for being so clear. I will be re-watching this over and over to perfect my twist. Thanks!

that's so cool find out her hair porosity look this up on RUclips this will help with hair growth and knowing what water temperature is. For me I have 3c curls so I need light oils not a lot of heat and leave in conditioners . you can do so many hair styles Like two strand twist, Braids high pony tails pig tails manyyy more hair styles. Its just like a Caucasians persons hair just a little corser so oil will be need to added in it all though we have natural oils but it's very light. but for a Caucasian child her hair has more oils in there. So research and keep her hair moisturized. water water water is key lol I use water and conditioner to comb through my hair and my hair gets moisturized lol If RUclips ain't helping out ask me anything anytime lol I love hair

THANK YOU! YOU ARE A GODDESS! I've watched at least five other flat twist tutorials over the last 6 months and I basically gave up. This video was so helpful. I watched the first two minutes, paused the video, went into my bathroom and came out with a flat twist. In less than a minute! Yeah thats right, after two minutes I felt confident enough to go try it. So once again, THANK YOU, YOU ARE A GODDESS!

I’ve been natural for years and the flat twist technique has always been impossible for me to achieve until I saw your video on Pinterest! I had to come to RUclips and give you props and a LIKE! I finally got it! This was the best tutorial I’ve ever seen. I feel like I have more options for go-to looks and protective styles! Two strand twist are great but being able to twist from the root gives me more definition from root to tip! THANK YOU!

I completed my first flat twist today on my 4C hair. I can't tell you how happy I M and how hard (it's so hard) to keep my hands out of my hair!! I use flat twist technique shown in your video on the front of my hair to help minimize stress on my hair. In the back I used a combination on bantu knots and two strands twists...I'm still trying to figure out what works on my hair. Thank You so much for your video.

I just want to thank you for uploading this video tutorial. After watching it just now I completed my first ever flat twist on freshly washed and styled hair from a night ago. I've always wanted to do something other than the individual twists I've been doing for YEARS and thought the flat twist was just what I needed but could never get it right for some reason. Your instruction was perfect and I could see clearly and replicate it for myself. Thanks again :) We share the same name btw fellow Antoinette here :)

Best tutorial thus far. I've been so hesitant to do it. It reminded me of cornrows which I STILL can't do. Will be trying this tonight after I wash my hair. I'm kinda excited now. Watching you, I get it now. Thank you.

Thank you. Ive always been able to cornrow but I had NEVER heard of a flat twist. A year ago I decided to learn. I happened upon your channel & after watching this video a couple times I had it down. I've been doing them since. Thank you much

Thank you so much for this video! It's the best one I've found. And I really appreciate your tips, too about using a pointer finger ( much gentler approach to separating hair) and about practicing in dry hair (my hair is thick, coarse, and shorter, so any new technique can feel overwhelming once I've spent the time washing and combing it through).
    Once again, appreciate it!! 💜

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This is the first time I've ever been able to actually do a flat twist! I practiced on an old twist out. I only did 3 twist and then I put the rest of my hair. I'm excited to see how it the three twist look in the morning. Tomorrow is wash day and I'm going to continue to practice. Thank you so much. This has given me so much confidence!

You might've just saved my LIFE!!!!! lol....I'm newly natural...I should say, I've been wearing braids for almost 2 years and am now out of braids and DYING for style help! lol...I've tried regular two strand twistouts, but find that my hair gets really frizzy, REALLY fast. I thought flat twists might work better! Can't wait to try this one! :)
    Thanks for posting!

I want to say thank you so much! I used your videos on how to cornrow (braid) and now 2-strand twist. You make it so easy to learn with little practice. I picked it up right away!

This was the best flat twist tutorial I've seen on RUclips. A lot of the tutorials aren't detailed like this video and it's been super helpful. Now, I can practice on my hair. Thank you for making and uploading this video!

So I have never in my life known how to braid and the way you explain this actually makes sense. I think i might be able to figure this out. Wow. Thank you so much. I never understood how ppl learned how to braid and while I appreciate ppl making videos, it usually winds up being that ppl who can do it instinctively can't really explain what they are doing.

That was super helpful!! Thank you so much! Just when I was about to throw in the towel on trying what I thought was a "simple yet cute" protective style after wash day; and got frustrated when I couldn't get the technique in video tutorial on the style. The fact that you went step by step in grave detail allows me to practice those steps until I master the technique!! Thanks again!!!

Thank you so much, I didn't know how to do twist and I'm trying to wear my hair natural and I tell you it's hard. When you don't know how to get the styles you want.
Your video really helped me copy and understand the step by step process.

Thank you thank you thank you THIS is the best flat twist tutorial. I am finally doing it correctly because of your encouraging words. Take the stress out of it and do it on old hair. Wow maybe styling your hair is a psychological thing. Ever since you made it look so easy I now have the hang of forward twists. It’s really not as hard as people make it out to be.

This tutorial actually makes me think I can do these twists. You explained a crucial part about what to do with the hair that you just sectioned off with your pointer finger, I think that's my problem area. I've added this to my Favorites, I'll watch it again and let you know, and I will subscribe. Thank you!

THANK YOU!!!! I've been watching videos but still couldn't quite get it but I've FINALLY learned how to flat twist after watching your video! I just did my mom's hair tonight and cheered after my first succesful flat twist. i'm really curious to see how it comes out. Thanks so much for showing it from multiple directions, that was extremely helpful. I'm actually thinking of buying a head (idk what it's called) to practice on so I can get better. I'm so proud of myself right now haha...

OH. MY. GOODNESS. I was almost about to give up on flat twisting my hair. I've been natural for 4 almost 5 years however I only wear it straight because I never got the hang of natural styles. I recently decided to give them another shot now that my hair is much longer…but just like before the styles weren't coming out right because I could not flat twist! I just stumbled upon this video and THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!. I never comment on videos but I just had to let you know how you saved my hair!! lol
