I hope they make a Netflix documentary about her. I've honestly learned to appreciate her a lot more after going through her entire discography (I'm from a generation that didn't grow up listening to her work). Madonna is a unique artist because she has been around for almost 40 years in the industry. If they ever make a Netflix documentary about her I hope they focus on:
- A reflection of her entire career up until now
- A commentary about her previous eras, what it has been like to be in the music industry for this long.
- Perhaps a glimpse of her music creating process.
- Where she is now..
I think there are a lot of topics she could cover because she is an artist at such a rare position (not many living artists are in) being around for as long as she has. But who knows.
I am fascinated by her attention to detail.
Madonna is a perfectionist! Different of most pop trash nowadays, she's a person who does the best in her work to give the audience the best show on earth.
People these days are more interested in "artists" (or celebrities) who make selfies with fans than work ethic and artistry. they rather see an artist pander to a fanbase and be relatable. Drives me crazy lol. An artist treats their fans with respect when the work they present is of a high quality.

of course. she's been doing it since the 80s. I'm not a huge fan. but after the girlie show tour (I THINK), her concerts became sort of musical theater. It's not just her on stage singing. So i guess that demands her to really focus on every aspect of what's happening on stage.
I agree, she picked up on the musical theatre aspect from Bowie's 1974 Diamond Dogs shows and has taken the concept forward in this hi-tech era.

Love her or hate her, she is a genius and a perfectionist, she knows what she wants but she is right, pity this isn't always reflected in her albums, which are usually patchy, except for 'Confessions' and 'Ray of light'....
"patchy" is what a wise person would use to describe Kylie Minogue's entire discography, not Madonna's, sorry. You might wish Like a Prayer sounded like a basic Cathy Dennis/Paula Abdul album but no, she gave you an album loaded with live instruments. She's not for the basic gays, sorry.

Tho I don't agree how she's currently behaving/saying, I think it should be more her having a stage to perform regarding political events, but in recent yrs it's all gagagaga beyobeyobeyo getting the stage with the presidents, I don't think they're like Marilyn Monroe like Madonna. Especially when gagagaga plays her little piano and talks to each president on stage like she knows each of them for 50 freakin yrs!!!! How phoney. That film Dangerous Game/Snake Eyes I've only ever seen it once on television and that was in the 1990s. I don't know why because it seemed like quite an interesting film. I'd like to see it again.

The first clip is from "Dangerous Game" in 1993. It's a movie that she appeared in, not an interview.
the director took some footage without her knowledge and put it in the movie and that's why she didn't promote it. M 's normally very aware, very concerned with how people see her when the camera is on.. could be the actors experimenting or having a talk and they kept the camera rolling and after a while just didn't pay attention, but she seems very authentic, natural compared to previous roles

Exactly! I was in several parts of Georgia in the early 80's for just a little under a month and their accents were starting to rub off on me! Imagine living in England and owning many properties for a decade and not being affected with their accents?!?! No way! Madonna never had a severe English accent and only with certain phrases or words would you be able to hear her accent and what's the big deal anyhow if she was full throttle English accent?

The "nobody knows me" intro alone is masterful. do some research. most of her work is better than the current shit of pop girls that get all the love and praise. ignore the noise, focus on the art. if say gaga came up with the MDNA intro with the church and that beautiful soulful intro, she'd be praised. It's kind of a shame that so much work goes into these (over produced) extravaganzas. But I guess this is what people (with relatively little talent) do; they over-compensate for their shortcomings. Put it this way; Madonna sure as hell isn't going to just sit on a bar stool and sing ... j/s
She has sat on bar stools and sang. MANY times, in fact. It's kind of a shame that people like you choose to be ignorant about certain artists' careers because they don't have a certain amount of octaves, YET they do write most if not all of their songs. Not just that, but she also plays many instruments and started off as a drummer and rhythmic guitarist. But it doesn't end there. Madonna also single handedly has written all the songs of her former bands AND did all the work and send their stuff to labels. She's also completely in charge of all the visuals of every single video, tour, and project she has made, while others with all those octaves only go out of bed to sing, and afterwards do drugs or drink themselves silly. But yeah, Madonna is "untalented". for all the diva behaviour and laziness from "talented" singers, Madonna puts in the hours not to only put on an amazing show, but to include social commentary and make people think. She tries to be a real artist, while others sit back and let managers and directors do the work. Madonna is the risk taker, the rebel, when only few had the balls to do the same.
