    Incredibly helpful. We bought our Vista secondhand, and I doubt that the front wheels had ever been removed. There is no way they were coming off without following every step in this video. Thanks a million.

    This worked a treat. My pram is 6 years old, so it genuinely took 2 hours of aggressive hammering to get it out. Slapped on an o ring, and the wheels rarely wobble now.
    Thanks so much for the video mate

      @themelbournebeerrrview1395 been a while, I realize, but are we talking an o-ring snug to the shaft? Or like a seal big enough to seat on the bearing?

      Hey mate, I put the ring snug on, which takes out the slack. Depends on the thickness of ring, but I then needed a bit of a squeeze putting the wheel back on to get the click

    Do you have any suggestions on where to buy replacement wheel bearings for the front wheels? Never bought bearings separately before, and having a hard time finding anything that matches the dimensions of the uppababy bearings.

      Amazon. I plan to put up links eventually, but I don't know exactly when I'll get around to it. There's a little nr. somewhere on the bearing, and there's some company on Amazon that has a searchable database with thousands of sizes. Alternatively, take it to a skateboard shop. :)

      Make sure you’re holding that dial in the open position and just hit it harder until it goes. Rust can be really tough sometimes :)

    Wondering if you could help - I have a stuck front wheel that even with WD-40 and Rust-oleum, I cannot get this wheel off. I have been hammering and it will not move at all. I followed the same process outlined in the video and got the left wheel off. However, the right one shows no movement. Any advice? I was thinking - since I am going to replace the front wheels, is it reasonable to take titanium drill-bit and drill through them middle? Is that asking for trouble? Thanks so much.

      It could damage the housing, both if the drill slips, but also if the metal heats up enough to melt /warp plastic elements. Still though, if you absolutely can't get it off, then you may not have many other choices that wouldn't also be risky. Uppababy is one of the better brands for getting ahold of spare parts though, so I would consider contacting a local distributor or their customer service (or search 'Uppababy HUB service center' and see if there is one close to you to contact) and ask the price for a new front-frame altogether, it might save you a lot of headaches. :)

      I am in the exact same situation! Tried everything, one wheel came off, the other will not budge. My husband is thinking of trying this drilling technique. How did it work for you, Rich??

    Does this work for the back wheels too?

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  4 года назад

      They're not connected in the same manner, but the general idea is the same, lubrication (maybe even rust-removal agents) + making sure that the unlocking button is held in the unlocked position + work with tools to (in this case) pry them off.
