This movie doesn't get the credit it deserves in Hollywood. Before Boyz N the Hood, before Colors, there was Boulevard Nights. One of the best urban gang movies to ever be made.
Wonderful scenes used. This was one of first lowrider movies introduced to hollywood from warner bros. This also stands as Godfather to both american me + blood in blood out. Im a huge avid collector to this film & was present for both screening anniversaries held this year to mark its 45 year mark. 1st was held back in august this year over at gardena cinema where i was allowed to showcase my display memorabilia and received some first autographs of the cast on my revised original script from 1978 of some of the cast that had shown that day for the event including those who were on set in the scenes from imperials car club such as both Spanks & Raul Hayo. The 2nd screening was held 2 weeks ago at warner bros. Where Danny invited me to be there where i was able to receive more autographs & to also display some more of my memorabilia items in a display case along with one of 5 original print movie posters for all to see. I will continue to display my memorabilia along with my 5 original print posters at any car show event & or screening anniversary where i am able to show it.
Never saw this movie. Grew up in La Puente 60s and 70s. In fact this looks like the imperials put this on. Looks like Raul Hoyos and Henry Rodriguez who I grew up with. Some of the guys joined the Imperials and other clubs. One of my childhood friend was on the cover or a feature article at a wedding across the street from my house ( St. Louis of France) use to cruise Whittier Blvd. 1974-1977. Grad Basset HS in 77 and left for the Army and never returned. I remember seeing Rauls car in a friends garage it was a work of art
Boulevard Knights was the shit!!!! I saw it way back in the day on ON Subscription. Crazy violence in the theaters due to the ending!!! Which didn’t last more than a few weeks but less than a month!!!
*Wow1 I remember that blue Chevy from the gas station on Sunday scene from "The Jerk" "Throw in a couple of tires~Make them white walled"~That is a super nice car :))*
When they say low riders in Hollywood, they meant low riders used in Hollywood movies, i saw this at the century drive-in when it came out, all the low lows turned on their headlights during the the hopping scene, and you could see the up and down from the headlights on the screen 😅😅😅 good times back then, boulevard nights, heartbreaker, cheech and chongs up in smoke , corvette summer etc.....🎉🎉🎉
I fucking love this movie!!!! My top 10 homitos!!!! Lesson learned to u all new skool vatos!!!! Lil Dino ChucoTown Nawf"Side 915 Sherman clika c/o 87!!!! U know!!!! ❤❤
Make it for the 50th anniversary if you can? We recently celebrated both 2 annual movie screenings this year one back in august & one last was held 2 weeks ago on the 21st @ warner bros. A couple of dudes from imperials car club had brought their rides over for the screening that day. How about may I contact you?
@@Gen-X-Risingthe studio made a copy of this car without the mural which was used in the movie the jerk they used it on the scene where chuco gets shot so the original didnt get damaged so two cars
Mexicans own The Low riders 1938 to Present. All others are knock offs or wanna be's. Don't need outsiders showing up with their wanna be lowriders. Brown and Proud.
Whats the name of the track to the scene where he drives off after picking up his GF and then next scene is him turning on the street. Whats the song played...i cant find it and i ve listened thru bits of the soundtrack sounds...thanks
That part of the soundtrack for when Raymond (R-Yniguez) picks up his girl shady(Marta-Dubois) is called Dimelo it is on the soundtrack for this movie available on either RUclips, and also on cd & vinyl. The movie only plays the instrumental part as the vocal is not heard in couple of scenes in which that song is played.
