If the dam was not there, most of the villages would have goes under the water. The dam saved you. But you don't want to say this. You just want to scare the people

It hasn't been opened from 1992....So the banks shrank ...this caused a lot of problems here...

You are scaring people unnecessarily. 4200 cusec is too small, now cauvery is seeing 200000 cusec. Mullaperiyar saved Kerala from oscillating flow from 30k to 12k. You guys are amplifying the problem. Actually mullaperiyar dam increasing the water slowly, so flash flood can be avoided in the high gradient mullaiyar river. If the dam was not there, most of the villages would have goes under the water. The dam saved you. But you don't want to say this. You just want to scare the people

vijayakumar Solaiselvam if Tamil Nadu have opened the dam when it reached 136 ft these problems won't even have happened!!!!The water level wont have that much effect....More over cavery is a wide River..so it's can't flood that much....The water you release from Mullaperiyar is reaching Idukki reservoir....Which is one of the biggest in South India...The max capacity of Idukki is 2405 ft..... It hasn't been opened from 1992....So the banks shrank ...this caused a lot of problems here...
