I had a $250 deal on this camera...brand new with reciept retail $600+, dude needed to pay car and this video sealed the deal on the spot! Thanks for the upload!
Really really well done. Thank you for inspiring me and others with your very obvious talent, vision and emotions. Can't wait to see more. A lovely family. It is all that really matters.
What an excellent video. I have to agree, fantastic editing. I just found your channel and I am glad I did. Thank you for sharing, extremely well made. I'm subscribing.
BRILLIANT! Absolutely AMAZING! I was recently gifted with a Nikon D5100. I know that I will never reach your artistic level. However, it is very encouraging to see what my equipment is capable of in the hands of a professional.
Today in 2020 it’s still a good quality video with old equipment like that.I have the same Nikon d5100 but really never tried taking a video. But im looking forward
I used the kit lens and the 35mm f1.8G lens. I added a slight yellow color curve, and increased the sharpness and saturation slightly. That's pretty much it! Thanks for the comment.
i've just brought a D5100 and ve been searching for a video tutorial that suits my imagination. Thank you for posting this wonderful video which will sure be the stepper stone video for beginner's like me. I already watched the exposure setting video tutorial before this video posted by you. That helped me a lot in setting up my camera in low light. Go on buddy. keep upload as much as possible ... nice and tnx....
Dope shots fam! You really have a good vision for your craft. Definitely inspired me to go out a grab a nikon d5100 and get out there and shoot some music videos.
Thank you! If you want to have most of your scene in focus, you have to use a high f-stop/small aperture such as f18 or higher. The wider your focal length, such as 11mm, the more in focus as well. The only problem with higher f-stops, is that it lets very little light into your camera, so you need good lighting.
I had my doubts at first, just because of my lack of understanding of what I could and could not do. (I'm am NOT a photographer) Though there are things I thought I could do but can't, there are many other features that make up for it and I am excited about learning to use it to it's full potential.
Amazing quality. I only have a d3100 and just getting into it's video capability. This is an inspiration of what I would like to accomplish someday with tutorials and practice. It is definitely a huge challenge with a dslr but well worth the results that look like a very expensive cinema camera!
thanks.I started with just the D3000 doing the odd bit of race photography but just placed an order for the 5100 an thats what led me here.the colours and focus are so pin sharp in your vids, seen top pros not even get it this good. keep up the good work :)
Thank you for the video, real nice job. You have inspired me to start messing around with my 5100 for video. Started watching your other instructionals too.
Thanks for the Great Video.......just bought this Cam as a 3rd member of my arsenal to go with my 2 HMC150 Movie cams. Was wondering if I made the right choice.......I think you've just made up my mind!
Nice footage, it's unbelievable the power of this camera. I really want to get something closer to what you got. I'm following some of your tips and i'll surely buy a 35mm 1.8g lens. Congratulations and thank you for sharing these tips.
Never knew the potential my D5100 had when it came to shooting video, until now! I use my D200 as my main photography camera and typically just use the D5100 as my backup and let my wife shoot with it. I have been wanting to get into the video side and have been debating on purchasing a nice video camera, but now I see that my D5100 actually has the potential to make some great video. Thank you for this video, as well as your tutorial video. You have truly inspired me!
jeremy pickett You should definitely learn the ropes of the D5100. It's an excellent segue for someone unfamiliar with video. I'm glad my videos were able to inspire you. Good luck, and have fun!
Wonderful stuff man. Just bought a used D5100 myself. Reassuring to see that you can make great things with limited funds (provided that skill is present, of course). I'm subscribing and checking out more of your vids. Thanks!
