    I knew your channel some days ago. Incredible work! I am a virtual pilot for 11 years, exclusively A320 and have a huge setup, with many hardwares, some of them, made by myself with arduino, Mobiflight and so on. I'm a software analyst and electronic technicitan as well .;Great jobp by allowing cockpits buiders around the world can develop and build step by step, the assembly of a complete flight deck.- thanks to you once again! you had the good intention of sharing your knowledge for all. Thanks so much Santi.

  • @spacedude51

    Awesome results! I've never seen UV printing before, how did you align the acrylic squares so precisely?

    • @santiagoluib3
      @santiagoluib3  Год назад +1

      Thank you! First, print a guide pattern (sort of squares/lines) on a thin cardboard paper, taped on top of the UV flatbed. This pattern is exactly the same pattern of the korry designs and layout in the printing Software. The square patterns printed on the flatbed serves as your guides and is where all the squares of acrylics are arranged one by one kinda like placing eggs on the egg tray LOL!. Then run the print again using the actual markings layer (not the square outlines used to draw the patten) This is exactly the same method I use for cockpit panels where I cut, sand/paint, then go back to the engraver and engrave the markings :) Hope that helps.

      Thank you! I'm glad they worked for you. As to the Overhead Korry's, I am still in the process of improving my design as I realized it would be very tedious to do all 72 (or more) of them without PCB! PCB makes the production faster and cleaner. Will definitely share the design once completed. The ones you see in this video are simple, PCB-less construction which works for a few buttons but not for quantity! :) Hope that helps!

    • @santiagoluib3

      Which part do you think is missing? I think the only thing missing part is the laser cutting of the 2mm acrylic sheet into 16x16mm squares (which I am not able to take video as it was outsourced as i dont have laser cutter that time), the rest of the process IMO is clear enough.

      Hi adam, the Korry button assembly itself is not the highlight of this video, but one day I will make a separate one just for the Korry themselves! But to give you an idea how the lights work, they are small 3mm LEDs, wired to an Arduino board, which is then connected to the PC and run by a software called MobiFlight which talks to the simulator, in this case FS2020. Hope that helps :) Thanks for watching btw.
