There are all kinds of people in all kinds of churches dying inside and putting on a happy face. NF is addressing that. The fake smile we see in future videos was birthed right here.

You're the first reactor I've seen point out that NF was positioned next to the kids, to show them they're not alone. That was a great insight! I am also an avid hiker! I enjoy nature and connect with God outdoors often.

@@VeteranCouple I enjoy hiking, especially in the mountains. I hunt, shoot, garden, and enjoy family while grilling and smoking meats often.
I seen it as a child and people don't realize what that does how that's carried around through life.
Thats the whole reason for the painted on joker smile, also like with dax and the Joker persona
We are all needing healing, therapy to deal with the pain. God gives us various avenues to get real with ourselves, and the support of others to help us keep on. Thanks and love to you two!

A lot of his banning and criticism comes from the Church. As he says in some of his newer works he’s trying to reach the masses, I believe he wants them to heal. Christian radio will not play his music. Churches have banned him from coming and playing his music because they feel it’s not Godly enough. I am a Messianic believer who loves the Lord, but all our lives are a mess which only God can fix. I agree with you Megan, his music speaks to people and I love him. His music is definitely not for people who sit in the pews and judge other people instead of loving people. Love you guys and your reactions. It only gets better from here.
Ya it really is too bad that the people who have the same mission - helping people to heal through Christ, would have such a distaste and judgment for. I would venture to say that someone like NF, who is open and honest about his pains and mistakes is able to help people at a deeper level than most modern churches simply because so many Christian’s try to act perfect, like they have it all together, and most people can’t relate to that, it ends up making them feel more alone. At least that has been the case in many times for me. To my core, I have loved what NF has done, because he lets us know, through his journey of highs and low lows, that we’re the same, and we can pull through! Thank you for your insight!!

Not sure what artists or kind of music yall listen to regularly, but if you haven't ever heard it a good song to match up with the "perfect family and smile on your face" discussion yall had would be "dollhouse" by Melanie Martinez. Really good song, I guess that I would consider her pop, but right along those lines of thinking.

Em and NF are "in the same boat". Both had ideas of what parents should be. I think as adults they just wanted more time to stress that they know the struggle. Shit, they are going through it now. I think they learned from it and this is the way they vent. On top of that he made something of himself and he wants to portray a good message but at the same time let people know they have outlets.
I see you are growing as channel. I like your takes. I saw you did some Ren and I am a huge fan of him as well. If I can make a suggestion, try out Mansion by NF. It ties into a lot of his songs/videos.

In my top 3 all time NF tracks with Intro 2, and The Search ( where I found Nate).....and putting songs like Oh Lord in a different stratosphere, with songs from Moments. The emotion he raps with gives me goose bumps all the time ( just like he wanted from All I Have ). LOVING the journey!!! Keep up the great work!

NF only gets better & better! The whole Perception album should be reacted to imho. It is so good! I want to see him in concert again. He was near me in Chicago last year and now he will be in St. Louis. That is 4 1/2 hours from my house. We saw him in St.Louis in 2021. He is just a very special talent! Great reaction! ❣️

I know some Christian who thinks as Christian we should not listen to NF has dark and not hopeful but I disagree because he is just being honest about the things he go though and how he coping with it.
Exactly! I think it’s crazy that some people would write these songs off as being dark, when a lot of life and life’s circumstances are dark, but it’s how we handle it and progress that makes all the difference and NF is showcasing that.

We're definitely coming to the end...we're currently in the throes of late-stage capitalism. It's happened time and time again throughout history, but we clearly haven't learned from it. Legalized bribery of lawmakers only leads to unfettered corruption...when people in government are held to a lower legal standard than the governed, that society inevitably collapses. Without fail thus far in the recorded history of mankind.

Thank you! Ya my step dad was something else, I never know how much I should go into that, but that long experience was a huge part of my life, and things I’m still working through. But I will say there were positives that came out of it, I mean screaming drill instructors in my face at basic training wasn’t a hard thing for me since I was so used to it 😅 gotta find the silver linings right? Haha but yes, God has blessed with me with the most incredible man and he and God have helped me heal many of those wounds and trust issues.

I would imagine that many parents, esp conservative parents, just assume ALL rap is violent and sexist, etc.
