The comments on this video are a testament to Razer's incompetence. You guys make unbelievable products, but when there's thousands of your loyal customers all struggling with the same issue, one would think you'd have a solution. This synapse software is clearly flawed and it's frustrating as hell. Now that I know I'm not the only one, I can voice my displeasure. This is bullshit Razer, and thousands of your FANS and your CUSTOMERS are fed up. I love the work you guys do, but please fix this shit.

i tried consulting every source i could but there is no way for me to install synapse 2.0 because it always freezes at like 77% or somethingin the update manager

For everybody who's device won't show up, open the program, and then plug in the device, the drivers should reinstall and after it finished it should pop up on the synapse screen

Hi, so I downloaded, installed, etc. etc. on my Mac Air. And now when I launch the synapse, it comes up with a dark screen. My Razer Kraken USB headset doesn't even SHOW UP. Help!
I love synapse, I really love the part where it kept crashing on start up and i had to re-install the software to make it work again. Then I really loved it when it forgot my keybindings for my naga. Such wonderful software when it doesn't actually work.

This software is buggy as hell.
I'm using a Deathadder Chroma and, when I plug it into my Alienware laptop, the mouse works perfectly (all buttons and scroll wheel all work well). However, when I launch Razer Synapse, it tells me to plug in a compatible device. My mouse is already plugged in. When I first installed the software, a little popup came up saying "Razer Synapse has detected your Deathadder Chroma" (or something like that) - but even though Razer Synapse acknowledges the fact that my mouse is connected, I still can't configure my mouse settings.
I'm sure this is not a problem with my mouse because the software works flawlessly when my mouse is plugged into my other computer (a MacBook Air). I have no idea whether the issue is with the version of software I'm using (even though I've reinstalled it multiple times, so it's unlikely) or a problem with Windows or drivers.
If anybody could give suggestions, that would be appreciated (this issue has been the source of a lot of frustration, so yeah)

It may just be me or they actually did do some fixes to this program, but I'm having no issue whatsoever. Since it was my first time using this program I simply had to create an account to access razer synapse. I then downloaded the application not as it was prompted as I plugged in my blackwidow and deathadder chroma, but through their actual download page with ease it took couple of seconds for me to download it The program worked like a charm, and everything was in order. It detected my peripherals, and was able to change the lighting and all settings I needed to do.
Note: You may need to do a system restart once you download this program, and after updating it as well.
This software can't pickup any of my stuff. I have a BlackWidow Ultimate and a Naga, neither one show up on this software.

I have the program downloaded and the mouse works (Deathadder 2013), but I can't open the program. For a while I couldn't find the files, but when I did, it wouldn't do anything when I tried to launch it. It's in the Local Disk (C:)>Program Files (x86)>Razer>Synapse
I am trying to launch the file called RzSynapse but nothing happens. This is the only file that seems plausible to be the one out of everything on my computer.

So I had the stats thing on synapse like everyone else and decided to reinstall the whole synapse software to come to a point when I realised my mouse and keyboard uses synapse and when I uninstalled it, my mouse and keyboard stopped working, now I have to get a new mouse and a new keyboard.

I think I have figured the first thing you put on 2.0 will work fine but if you want another make sure your internets on plug it in and log in. Next to your gmail hotmail Etc.. there will be a green circle with a black number 1 or 2 in the middle this means there's an update if in the patch notes it ses Deathadder install and done it should work. Hope it works!!!!

If you really want to know, it's because applications that you may typically use on a Macintosh (like Photoshop, XPress etc.) have tons of keystrokes, then a mouse like this is very very useful for working...
This is of course when the Mac software works fine, which is unfortunatly not the case of this one (multiple profiles doesn't work, the app launches at startup for no reason etc.)
I think you are missing the point. This IS optional. This software is only needed if you want to sync your settings to the computers you log into. If not you have to re-install the settings on the computers you log into... The way a mouse works and the way memory works is very different... Memory needs power at all times or else you would lose all that memory. For the mouse to hold the memory there would have to be a constant power link to the memory chip. It is MUCH easier to use cloud.

Galactic Games the Razer product needs to be 2.0 Enabled I.E if you have a really old razer mouse or keyboard it wont work with Razer Synapse 2.0

"Link program" function no longer works for me. Clicking it only changes my cursor to arrow + circle for a fraction of a second and that's basically it. It used to work just fine. Using Taipan

Razer please.. Just make a clean software that doesn't have cloud and registration requirement. Just a Software, in that I can make use of the macros and other things, and that doesn't take up too much RAM.

If trying to change dpi for mouse go to program files(x86), then razer, then whatever mouse you have, then look for razercfg which should be an application and open it. Don't need synapse
Perused the comments real quick & noticed a great deal of negative thoughts: 'synapse doesn't see mouse,' 'synapse sucks,' 'windows 10 yada yada,'
Gotta say I've loved my Copperhead(s) for ages. But the configurator wasn't likin' my 2 systems. Mouse/program would forget my settings across all profiles. So I switched to a Taipan.
Synapse sees my Taipan, Windows 7 has no issue with it either. But macros disappear. One computer they're changed, or Synapse turns off, the other computer they don't work. Yup - 2 computers. I use a KVM.
So my dilemma is whether or not Synapse sucks, or the KVM. I gotta have 2 systems. Two so one is backup if one fails... and they're used for different things anyway. Am looking into other KVM's now, ones with DDS or something for instant switching.
Oh and I'd prefer non-cloud configurators rather than reliance on a net connection....for a mouse. I mean, really?

figured out the problem, synapse isn't for mamba, so I downloaded the mamba driver from razers site and I got a mamba config program on my pc :3
I got Razer Synapse for my DeathAdder mouse, and now I got a DeathStalker keyboard but Razer Synapse doesn't acknowledge the keyboard. I've redownloaded it a million times and it still doesn't recognize the keyboard. Obviously the keyboard works but I want to be able to configure it with Synapse.
This is the most ridiculous shit I've ever seen. You can't use the mouse functions without an internet connection (you can still use the normal mouse functions but no macros/keybindings/etc) + to use synapse they force you to agree to a terms of service that explicitly gives Razer permission to use their products for data mining for personally identifiable information and gives them permission to share any data they collect
I just bought a BlackWidow chroma and it says: For the full experience, please connect a Razer Synapse enabled device. Yet my BlackWidow chroma is connected as I am typing with it.

First of all I have my device pluged in and it only shows the options "Regester You Product Warrenty"(witch i already did) "Visit Razer store" and "view combatable devices"
i've been using my Arctosa and DeathAdder for almost 3 years running with it's standalone firmware/driver which are working fine. and i haven't touched that Synapse thing since it was introduced, idk but i have thoughts that Synapse "might" just screw up my keyboard and mice than making it easier to deal with.

why can't I add "enter" on both keymaps on the same button on my tartarus? I want the enter button to be on the sam ebutton on all keymaps but it doesn't let me do that.
I have synapse 2.0 on windows 8, how do I pin it to my desktop/ taskbar? whenever I close it fully, it closes all together and i have to go into the installer again to open it back up.
Razer makes good products, the mouses are very comfortable, accurate.........but the drivers makes me want to break my mamba, it's full of bugs, sometimes it doesn't recognize in wired/wireless mode, the cursor keeps skipping, the sensitivity button doesn't change the sensitivity stages. The worst of all is that the razer company don't give a fuck about how to fix these problems.
What idiot thought an account system for hardware peripherals was a GOOD idea? Offline mode is broken on mac, and the software forces you to go back online in order for it to work. Honestly wish there was an alternative to this software, online features are good to offer, they just shouldn't be a REQUIREMENT
Is there anyway i can download Synapse 1.0 again? I would totally use 2.0 if it was able to recognize my DeathAdder 2013, but since its a 2.0 is a WRETCHED PILE OF SHIT!, I would rather just go back to a piece of software that doesnt induce murderous rage within me. THANKS!

This new update just sent my Nostromo into exile. When the update was installing there were command prompts opening for a flash with something about "..not recognized.." flashing across the screen multiple times before closing.
I had my mouse working perfectly but now I build a new computer after downloading the software I get only stuck at warranty and compatible devices screen without getting my mouse show up, wtf. uninstalled one of the razer sunapse and it fixed the problem.
I'm not sure how anyone gets this software to even run properly, all it does is endlessly try and fail to update itself (after I just downloaded it), and won't detect either my black widow ultimate or my death adder.
I had the same problem when I first connected with bluetooth. All I had to do was to connect with usb cable and voila, after that synapse works with bluetooth as well.
I just got my razer deathadder 2013 and the logo light flashes from brightest all the way down to dim when the logo is on I just want it to stay on and not change brightness and there is no options for that on synapse 2.0 any help?
Good thing when the only way to control any feature of my Abyssus is a program that refuses to work properly and keeps itself in a continuous update status.
On my mac, synapse can't find my deathadder and nostromo. I tried reinstalling it etc., nothing worked out so far.

Is this driver bugged in Windows 10? It won't pick up my Razer Kraken Pro or my Razer Abbyssus. And from the comments I'm reading, others are having this problem as well.

+Kyo I uninstalled and then reinstalled Synapse and it seems to be picking up my Kraken Pro. However, the lights are unresponsive to any settings I change, so I doubt this is a permanent fix.

It's weird how everyone claims "cloud" nowadays. Dude, you're just storing a user's info to an online database. It's not a "cloud" since cloud-based servers mean you're running virtual instances of OS's on the same server
All I want is an option to change my scroll-wheel amount. Synapse makes it scroll about 1 line at a time, and it overrides Windows settings. It is painful.
It doesn't recognize my Orochi. It says "Please connect a Razer Synapse 2.0 enabled device". I have tried it in wireless and wired modes and it still doesn't pick up my mouse.
