Patrick .because its a multi frequency detector then it can handle the wet sand and salt easily, the interesting part is that the detector has 5 levels of salt adjustments for you to explore, which is really handy when you are wanting optimum performance on the beach

Hi Graham mate, I have ordered the legend, only the standard, not pro, I did try your place first but it is out of stock.. I have had the Nox 600 in the past, but found it nose heavy, tired my arm out after an hour or two, how is the legend, it looks similar to the Nox, but is it nose heavy.. Good video Graeme well explained, much better than any air test with the items in the ground for a good few years and it seemed to handle the depth very well, if your planning another one with the legend can you try it out on a bit of coke see how it deals with that please 😊👍
I just received my Legend pro pack recently and I have installed the two updates. I’ve been reading the manual to learn it. The one thing I don’t like about it, is the black touch pad. In day light you can see the buttons, but when in low light settings, if you’re still learning the machine, it’s hard to remember which button is which. I may use a thin point white paint marker to fill in the images on the buttons for now.

You talked about brightness and said that you didn't need it because the sun was shining (made it sound like you were talking about the flashlight). Later on - you referenced the flashlight. Surely in bright sun - you would need the screen brightness up? Did you initially think that you were talking about the flashlight?

I am seeing a pattern where if the Legend is reviewed in the U.S. it generally gets a negative review but in the U.K. or even Holland there seems to be no problem. Politics?? Looks like a promising machine. However I will stick with the Apex. Every review I've seen on RUclips is a year + old and the reviewers played with it for a half hour, then give it a negative review. I learned the machine, along with the updates and it's a savage.
wow, brilliant video and machine but wasted on me i'm afraid, as a bit of a luddite all this tchnology goes over my head, all i want is the machine to tell me i'm over a target that's enough for me, plus, it would take me more time than iv'e got left to learn all it's features and not being able to go out very often the cost wouldn't be worthwhile for me.

I used a permanent gold metallic marker pen to highlight them all, solves trhe black on black problem, which is not a good design.
