I've been drawing cars for as long as I can remember. Used to draw them all the time during some of the boring classes. 3D modeled a few too. I have to say that the way you seem to make just the right lines emerge is truly amazing. You always seem to get the right angle and curvature in very few strokes. To me that's the hardest part when it comes to sketching.
It's extremely impressive how you can sort of just place seemingly random lines down on paper and then get it to look like a recognizable (and good-looking) object. Thank you so much for making this, I'm excited to start messing around with my own car designs! Great tips.
Ayaan Mathur he chose RUclips because he isn’t at the talent level of an actual designer at an OEM. There are guys in my junior level class that are better than him and they’re still not even good enough for industry level work.

Dusty McKinney try to fill 1 or 2 papers with hand drawn circles. Make like 1000 of them quickly. After doing so, Do like an a5 size paper (1side) fill it with cirkels each time before you draw a car. That helps me! Works also with straight lines

I done alot of sketches as well as portraits. But have made few cars sketches free hand and using grid help. I also love auto designing, as my hand is very set in sketches/drawing. Art is all about imaginations. To be honest, whenever I sketch cars, I do add some background. Your videos is very inspirational for those pursuing auto design( I am too will be doing auto design as my career) I am glad that I visited ur channel. lol for some reason putting in an ellipse envelope for the body and the two ellipse envelops for the wheels really helps me visualize the car well enough to draw it in at least decent proportion. Thanks for the tip.

I do product design and our tutors want you to use pen to make you faster and more accurate when sketching because with pen you can't erase and go back. Makes your design communication much easier to follow. No " hairy lines". 👍
I have a car design in my mind that is bothering me for about 2 3 weeks now. Never did a car sketch/design. But this came in my mind after watching an aero vid and it just popped out in my mind. If I can get to sketch it, can I get it reviewed somewhere?

I'm an industrial designer, this helps a lot as I'm getting into making and selling custom diffusers and splitters now.
These drawings look like the concepts manufacturers put out before the production version winds up looking like a Buick.

My only problem is getting the almost perfect circles.

Try to hold the pencil less firmly
Try to do it with one quick swift motion. If you still cant do it quite right, then do as the Jor Cap says and you’ll get there
