I don’t get paid to tell you that this was a very nice foundation. I’m 56 and don’t do glitter or shiney stuff. This is not glittery at all. Had a nice “natural” finish. Lasted all day. Was buildable to fullish coverage. This worked on my skin.
I'm in Tampa and it was hot today. Wearing it all day and it's beautiful foundation. Did a light layer and set lightly once after applying. I'm really impressed honestly. I got 5N.
I color match in store today and I’m 5N too! Do you have oily or dry skin if you don’t mind me asking?
@@sweetGGbabymy skin is combo only bec of the climate I live in. When the temps aren't in the 80's or more, my skin is normal and balanced. I'm really dedicated to my skin care routine and have been for years so I think that helps. Today was humid as hell though and this foundation held up well considering it's a glowy formula.

I got 5N as well and love it!! Walked around the Alamo and the Riverwalk and it did very, very well!
@@AllyKit I used powder. Used CT actually bec I wanted something light to match the vibe. I just got home and looked in the mirror and beyond my usual oils peeking through on my nose it all looks really good about 9 hrs later! I am mad our nice wintry weather disappeared. It was such a nice change and for once I didn’t look like swamp monster five min after walking outside with our chilly temps.

I like this foundation a lot. It is definitely a true medium coverage foundation. It’s glowy but not emollient. I chose 4c and I have light olive undertones. I have combo skin with pores and I don’t think it emphasizes my texture. I used a primer and set with powder. I’m really enjoying using it.
Yeah don’t care about this release but your eye makeup is gorgeous! Nothing brightens brown eyes like blues and greens. Reminds me of why I love navy eyeliner so much

I got mine today. On Mario's website I did camera and it was a fantastic match. I love the foundation. When I first applied I was concerned however after a few mins it soaked into my skin and Blended into my skin. I love love love it
I just wore it for the first time today,! My mini personal review lol: I liked it! shade 2N which is a decent match, but to be fair I really am quite neutral so can get away with a little swing in undertone most ways, this shade might be a liiiittle yellow leaning though. I watched several reviews that were all rave, and was hoping it was more smoothing than it was. Worried that transfer might be an issue as I wear a mask off and on all day, and I would get too oily as I am prone to do, but was pleasantly 🙀 that neither of those things were the case, it wore beautifully! Will I love it as much as my current two faves the Lisa Eldridge and MUFE? Eh, we'll see.
I got a sample of lisa eldridge foundation and I loved loved it! Savored every little drop. I tried the mario one in store today and I definitely saw the glitters on my face when I got home. I have oily acne prone skin so I am a bit concerned about the glitters :/

For me, I LOVE this foundation with combo skin, but the trick is to put a really good mattifying primer underneath otherwise I notice it gets oily by the end of the day. I picked up shade 7C for wintertime and then just repurchased shade 16C for summertime!!!! (i get very tan in the summer)
Which one is a good matifying primer?

The Mario Foundation reminds me of the it your skin but better foundation kinda the same skin like vibe and also has the same sparkles in it . My local Sephora is total trash so I relied on the online shade finder and think I got lucky as 3W is a great match for me. I'm combo leaning dry, mature skin, with enlarged pores and find that one pump stippled on with a brush works best. Am using Rituel de Fille Thorn Oil as a primer. I'm not noticing any glitter, either, just a gentle luminosity. Might like this better than Haus Labs.

Don’t love the foundation packaging, it looks cheap to me but if the product inside is great, that’s what really matters most.
I may try this out at some point down the road but not right now.

I dont understand the problem with shimmer particles in the foundation... I mean, If you're loving the CT Hollywood flawless filter or the E.l.f. halo Glow, you are going to most likely like this one. And If you're looking for radiant glowy skin 🤗👍

I was rely excited for this launch, but I will definitely be skipping it due to the coconut alkanes in the formula. This is a recipe for cystic acne for a lot of people, not just people with acne prone skin.
I sincerely hope everyone that purchases this foundation loves it and doesn't suffer through weeks or months of cystic breakouts after wearing it.

I don't know if this is available in the UK yet but I won't be getting it. I much prefer a skinlike/natural finish as opposed to one with a glow. I suppose I could use powder, however, my skin is so dry that I try to avoid setting and/or finishing powders.
From what I've seen, this foundation works very well with oily skin - providing a primer and powder are used with it.

I wouldn't classify the particles in the foundation as "glitter" as you have. It's more of a shimmer particle, really really small luminous particles that give the skin a luminous sheen. No glitter, just shimmer.

I am a dry dry girl also with fine lines and wrinkles on my 49 year old skin and I’m wondering if you think the hourglass ambient glow foundation would be a good match?? I do hydrate with the Charlotte Magic cream and I’ve been thinking about buying the Chanel Sublimage cream foundation but would rather the hourglass price if you think it would be a good match. How does it compare to nars skin reflecting foundation?
It looks pretty and brightening but i think its a pass for me.Theres just so much foundations coming out from everywhere and i cant just buy every new release.I have bought from haus labs and the new hourglass and they are serving me well and i have several others too.Maybe i will try it when ive used up what i have.I still watch you though and i value your reviews ❤️
I have mature combination skin and this was a no. I got too oily and it emphasized texture and pores.

Everybody has pores. You have skin, therefore, you have pores. Some people's pores are simply more visible.
I’m having major pilling with using embryolisse as a primer underneath. Does anyone know if this works better within a silicone primer?
I didn't like this foundation. I picked shade 8N and the foundation is not for oily-combination skin prone to acne. It make my pores look big and super visible. I rather spend my money on the kosas or hauslab foundation.

this is something so unimportant to be annoyed by, I know, but I am definitely rolling my eyes a bit when people call this "glittery" especially typing it in their thumbnail for the video like clickbait. it's mica, not glitter, and there is a big difference between those two descriptors. didn't expect to see it phrased like that on this channel.

@@flobeau187 Mica is a natural stone mineral that appears shiny and gives a “glittery” effect. While Glitter is made from Plastic and sometimes contain aluminum.
I got a sample at Sephora only down side of the foundation was the awful smell.. it smelled like paint that didn’t go away I’m surprised you didn’t mention it. Everyone talked about a weird smell in the foundation 🤢 I will not purchase unfortunately do you the unpleasant smell.
Mine has been sitting on my desk for three days. Need to play with it. I found it sits over my skin at first and after a few minutes it becomes like part of my skin but sink into lines. Kinda weird. Just thinking if I should wear a primer with it
I find by using Smoothing Primers, such as Rare Beauty, Hourglass, Tatcha, etc., my Foundation always looks smoother, and therefore better!

Why bother buying anything from Makeup by Mario?! As soon as you like something, it goes out of stock to never come back again. Yes, he really has good makeup products (some of which are my holy grail), but I feel like I'm getting ghosted. I'm done with it. 💔

@@HelloSun567 As a mature dry skin gal in a dry climate, I do like Haus Labs. I do powder it. Kosas is also good. Geek out of water is a mature gal that has reviewed hundreds of foundations and has a spreadsheet if that's helpful for you.

It does look different, you see more details up close here and lighting is very different than normal. She's done a good job.
