Princess Elise being from the Hedgehog-only kingdom always made me think that she was originally a Hedgehog herself, that also encountered Daedalus and was turned into a human like Sonic was.
This makes a scary amount of sense and I'm headcannoning it. I always figured the AI just doesn't know that she's human

Silver's backstory monologue fucking kills me. Knuckles asks him a question, Silver rambles for ten minutes without answering him, and then finishes with "I don't want to talk about it anymore." 🤣

I’m glad you caught on to the two Shadows in the first episode!! Not many people pick up on that right away. If you go back you’ll also notice that Silver conveniently disappears from the scene just as the other Shadow is introduced. There’s so much story in this episode, but I’ll admit it’s ridiculously convoluted until you really take the time to listen to it all carefully. I had a great time laughing along with your reactions!!

Also Sliver explains his kingdom was burned down and when Elise attacks in the first episode she yells at Shadow that he burned down her kingdom.

I don't know why, but Gerald Robotnik responding to an outright contradiction to what he just said with "Precisely! I'm so smart" was REALLY funny... Like, more than most of what was in this insane story. Holy shit...

So… I have a legit theory as to why that response makes perfect sense and is actually a huge foreshadowing moment :D…
One of my favorite bits from this episode is definitely the completely unrelated fight coreography at the beginning (Sonic bringing up her leg just to headbutt the mayor, and then later reeling his arm back to slap him with both hands). I can't wait for episode 3, Penny said that it should be coming out sometime this Spring. I hope they bring back the second Shadow from the first episode somehow

@@lucasgamerbr2774 better theory, what if that second one was the original shadow, the one Daedalus claimed was dead. The other one was the one being controlled by silver. That or if you believe the shadow that Daedalus is isn't the same as the one that silver is, then the second one is Daedalus. But I think they are the same based on a lore moment I saw on the original episode 2 that made alot of sense, which stated they were.

The best thing about Sonic Destruction is that when you lay out all of the lore, the story actually makes sense in a lot of ways. The two shadows, Sonic's weird personality shifts, Elise in general, it all makes sense in context.
It’s just the way it’s written and the way it’s delivered doesn’t sound like something people would say to each other.
That conversation between Jason and Gerald was like something out of Metal Gear

I am a conspiracy nut and even I can't make sense of this.
Weirdly enough it's not that much crazier or more random than most modern Sonic storylines. A bit more random due to AI shenanigans but I could see this being an official release with some polish.
Someone actually finished a storyboard animatic of the entire first episode recently, although it's a playlist with each video being an individual scene.

This story affected me in more ways than one.
