Thanks for this. I was wondering why the hell Chris would randomly decide to use the stock and mess me all up. The timing on pistol quick shots is really weird; it's actually a lot sooner than you'd think. I find it helps to watch the recoil animation, and tap the fire button just as the character starts lowering the barrel after the kick.
This is actually really helpful. I'm still not great at handgun quick-fire, but using this suggestion I've gotten to where I pop off two shots far more often than just one. Thank you.
EDIT: I have no idea why and how, but I suddenly nailed it without actually wanting to do it against the Crimson Head coffin boss. It just worked suddenly and I did it instinctively :O And it worked well against the Chimera's in the lab also. Finished the game with Chris on Normal now and didn't think I'd make it. Took 6 hours something, but I also made sure to always have enough herbs in the chest etc. and didn't take the straight way all the time, so this is definitely not my limit. But for now, I'll probably focus on achievements not requiring speedrunning. At least not in this RE/game. NVM THIS: Ugh, this is so hard to pull off. And I still don't really get it. I'm more the type to learn something by doing it, but this really is something else. And I could really need it on my Chris Normal playthrough. Thanks for explaining still. But damn, is it hard to pull off. Using a PS4 controller here and didn't manage to make it work once. Okay, I did it once by accident now, but got no damn clue how.
Anything that is conditional or varies greatly, like the weapon being use and by whom, I don't even bother with. I am not aiming to top any records with it anyways. My fastest Jill run is 54mins give or take a few seconds. As long as I can do what I want to do it is all good. I have tried to do these kinds of tricks and they are so inconsistent they have never made anything easier or faster.
Great tutorials! Would you ever consider a Silent Hill 1 playthrough ? Of any kind, no damage or speedrun or even just a walkthrough with a few tricks ?

this one-frame-link thing to me sounds more like rythm to be the easier way to approach it. Saying that, has Pessimism ever mentioned anything that way? Since he is musician, it could be a more prefered method to him. How "easy" it actually is, I will find out in my playthrough attempts the coming days. Dig my grave, guys xD
Wait so are you useing the gamecube version on a emulator How are you getting unlimted ammo and all the keys and everything whats the program your useing at 5:37 i know its the fluffy manager but how do you get all those other buttons?

Riciero Delcosta No, the trick is faster shooting, not infinite ammo. I turned on an infinite ammo hack for demonstration purposes as running around to collect ammo would have taken too much time
Riciero Delcosta LoL broken jill. No bud it is possible still i done a jill run yesterday an got the pistol quick shot, its still tricky as ever but just save a game with decent ammo and constantly load it until you are comfortable with it, thats how i learned

you can do this tricks in the original GC version too, that trick is old but cool to watch
