It would be nice to see more footage/photos of the bag (especially 16L) with mirrorless cameras sitting in it. The camera at 52 seconds is in its side. No one packs their camera like that. Are the ones on your website accurate? They haven’t been propped up by anything?
Some people certainly do pack their camera on it's side, I do pack my camera like that depending on the bag and use case, it's quite smooth to grab from the grip and start shooting.
This one is just too narrow for side access.. Side access doesn't work especially well when a pack has limited width. In addition, the swing-around rear access that is unique to this pack compared with all other Axis packs, is almost just as fast, plus it gives you full access to the entire interior.
Nice review sir. So, do you have the Version 1 of this bag? I only ask because on my Version 2, the shoulder straps seem to attach to the top of the bag rather than the back panel, thereby mitigating any extra stress on the main zipper, when it’s loaded and on your back. Thus, even if that zipper were to fail, the bag would not open, at least while it’s on your back. Also, the load lifters seem to add a bit of extra security in terms of stress reduction on the main zipper. Thanks for the great review!
While it is true that the v1 backpack did utilize the zipper to connect the harness to the rest of the bag, in the five years we sold the v1 bags worldwide, there was never a weight-related or otherwise sudden zipper failure that involved equipment being damaged. We had tested the v1 bags to handle over 150 pounds before failure. We did not approve and manufacture the v1 backpacks until they were successfully tested. The v2 backpacks are built differently, in large part because the torso height adjustment has been eliminated due to it being unnecessary for the vast majority of users. By eliminating the height adjustment, we could go back to a more traditional harness design.
It will not fit a laptop. The narrow design of the Axis 16L is only possible because it does not have a laptop sleeve. Otherwise it would be as wide as the 18L LT and v2 20L packs, both of which fit a 14-inch laptop. Eliminating the laptop sleeve saves a ton of width and weight. But if you do need to fit a 13-inch laptop, the LT 18L and v2 20L are also amazing packs.
That flimsy belt looks like a complete waste of time unfortunately. Why does every manufacturer omit a proper waist belt on the smaller bags. A 16l can still weigh a fair few kilos
Sorry folks... I have the original one that I purchased for a trip (20L) to fit my gear including a large telephoto. Nice bag, but I'm going to sell it completely unused... Why? Unless if you are putting this in YOUR car, driving to location, packing into the location & back to your car and back home, you better not get this bag, as there is NO WAY to lock the zipper entry points on this bag and all your gear can be stolen if it is sitting in a hotel room or in an overhead on a plane, etc. Again, if YOU are in complete control of this bag at all times, then go for it... Otherwise you should pass. Sorry Tenba, you worry about having a pocket to put an air tag to track the bag, totally blowing off the simple concept a thief can just simply empty the bag since none of it can be locked (facepalm)
I have tried many brands and models, this one is my definitive one. Super compact and rugged.
We're glad you love your bag, thank you for your feedback!
A hidden pocket that everybody is told about and shown. Very good
We don't find a lot of overlap between street thieves and the professional photographers and filmmakers who watch our videos. :)

if only this bag has side access, it would be the one for me.

@@TenbaBags Thank you for the information. I'm quite pleased with the design, build quality and functionality of the Tenba Axis V2 20L backpack!
We're happy to hear that!
Danke fürs video, ich habe eine Frage Passt ein sigma 150-600mm in denn 16l rucksack?
can this fits a 13inch laptop?

Seriously? I'm considering this bag, but unexpectedly, you guys did not open the bag, so we didn't see the inside.
You can see interior photos on our website: tenba.com/axis-v2-16l-backpack-black/
@@TenbaBags I know, but a video is a different perpective.
when will this be released?
Sorry I meant when will it be released in the UK?
If only the top entrance was to its own small compartment, instead of access to the entire bag :/ darnit.
