My husband just recently got the Prvke 21 and that one is comfy. I think the Lite isnt for people over 5’5” or something. I recommend going to a camera shop and trying it on. I think it's a really cool looking bag and he loves it! Great video!
I have way too many camera bags but the Peak Design V1 that I have had since they released them is one I come back to for urban use. I also have a small V2 zip that I use if I want to carry less I don't find it as perfectly comfortable as you, but not having to open it up to get at everything is what I value most. I don't mind "Rattling" as gear is there to be used and nothing ever gets damaged. The advantage is that, during the day everything gets taken and out put away so often that not having to put it back in the same place as it came from makes it more versatile.
The Peak Design backpack was the most uncomfortable for me, especially when loaded with gear. Got the Prvke 21 instead and it was much much more comfortable
Odd, I found the Wandrd the most comfortable bag I tried that ticked similar boxes that you had as well. I researched that it was much better for hikes and long trips than the peak design, which I found to be true when using it myself. Guess some bags fit others differently!
I have the non lite version of the Prvke bag and love it. But, since I’m in a wheelchair, I throw the bag to the back of my chair and never worry about comfort. That’s good to know, as I was thinking about scooping one for my wife who’s not in a chair. If your looking to sell that WANDRD bag cheaper than the retail price, let me know, I may scoop it for myself 😂
About Wanrdr PRVKE. I have two of these backpacks. One of them is old 21 liter version from 2018, and the other is a more modern 31 liter version. Both of them are very comfortable backpacks for me; no issue whatsoever. I guess it depends on unique anatomy of each person. Just want to say that Wandrd isn't all that bad for everyone 😶
"I love a good kislux because it helps me decide if I want to buy the real thing or NOT." That part right there. That's IT. I feel like people stigmatize dupes but for me, I pause on large purchases that are trendy or when I feel the overconsumption mania setting in FOR ME. (It's something I struggle with LOL! I'm easily convinced to buy things I don't wear or use. They'll literally have the tags and I'll even forget I bought something and have 2 or 3 of them in my closet.) Love this video!
I'm 160 cm (~5ft 2") and for my height the WANDRD Prvke Lite is super comfortable, and I load it up with much more photography gear and weight than you. I don't think WANDRD should change anything with the ergonomics of their backpack. I also have the WANDRD Prvke 31L backpack, and it's also super comfy. (On the other hand, I found that the Peak Design everyday backpack was incredibly uncomfortable for my body - even when empty.) Maybe the WANDRD Prvke Lite is just too small for your frame?
Hey! I've been looking for a camera backback and had my eye on that one too. I'm also not that tall (167cm/5ft6), but I'm wondering if it also has to do with torso size (I for example have a pretty short torso). May I ask if you have a shorter torso as well?
Great video! After owning a few camera backs, I also settled for the Nomatic Luma back pack. Yes, it fits the most and it’s comfortable. Love that bag!
Man! I don't know what body type you are and I know we're all different, but I'm 6 feet and have the Wandrd Prvke Lite and have zero issues with this bag. I love the fact that I can carry my R5 II, 24-105 f2.8, RF 85 1.2 and RF 14-35 f.4 and then still have the pouch available to store other accessories and a 14 inch Macbook Pro and no comfort issues whatsoever. I even tried the Expensive Peter McKinnon 35L bag and couldn't fit the same amount of gear in it, but hey, to each their own.
Im glad to see someone review the luma bag in greater detail, I've been wondering about it, and each video that I watch on it, its just not as enjoyable. yours was much much better than the other ones that I've seen
I have the Prvke Light and I have not had any problem with it feeling uncomfortable. I am only 5'2" so maybe that has something to do with it. If you do really like the style of the bag, I like the idea of the post that suggests the idea of trying the 21 liter size at a camera shop to see how that one feels. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
I’m so glad it’s not just me that didn’t get on with the Peak Design interior. I had the Everyday Zip which has the same guts as yours. And yep every time i opened the bag something would fall out! I’m currently using the Urth Arkose with the camera inserts. It’s 20L but fits a lot of stuff! Have the 31L Prvke on order and praying my body is different to yours and it’s comfortable! 😅
I traveled all around SE Asia for two months with the Wandrd Prvke Lite and it is a very nice well made backpack (same color as well). I used it with my Sony a7rv w/24-70 2.8 GMII, 35mm GM, and 16-35 F4, and my iPad, and it was reasonably comfortable but when packed up, and if you're around 5'10" or taller, it hits you at the base of your back which does become uncomfortable on long walks. I also had the 20L Wandrd Prvke which is longer and I didn't have the same problem but it was just a bit larger than I needed. I was surprised at how much I could fit in the 11L Wandrd Prvke lite though, almost as much as in the 20L because the cube in the 20L takes up a lot of space. I've since switched to mostly Leica for travel so I have no need for either of them anymore.
This review is timely as I'm in search of a discrete, light-weight, comfortable "daypack" style camera bag for my global urban travels. I love my Mindshift Backlight 18L, but it's bulky and lacks the separate compartment for non-camera stuff, so that remains my nature/wildlife bag. The expansion roll-top of the Prvke is compelling, but not if it's uncomfortable to wear. Have you considered the Tenba Fulton series? It has the same roll-top feature, is very light (
I have the original Peter McKinnon travel bag. I am a small guy so the bag is a little too much for me. But it’s a comfortable bag when you don’t have it loaded with every piece of equipment you own.
Nice journey. So what I’m getting is… you packed 11l worth of gear into a 22l backpack and didn’t like it cos it was too rattly. Then bought an 11l backpack which was uncomfy because - guess what - tiny backpacks are really uncomfortable on average / large size guys. Then bought an 18l backpack which has room to spare but feels nicer. Sounds like rather than tell Wandrd they should “take the product off the market” you might ask them nicely to do a collab with you on a 16-20l Prvke Special Edition.
I use Peak Design bags - the 30L travel backpack and the 10L everyday sling v2 - i am very happy with the bags but do wish for one small update on the sling - the front zippered space on the sling is only suitable for very small items - even chargers over stretch this space so would appreciate a bit more space/give in this area. Otherwise very happy.
I agree with the “shouldn’t look like a camera bag” criteria for aesthetics but also for avoiding thieves and I think my best bet is gonna be going with a non camera bag with camera cubes inside.
Whoa thanks for this video! I have a similar camera setup (A7Cii body + FE 20-70mm G lens) so it was great to see how the camera combo fits in these various bags.
The PD everyday needs to be updates, I do preffer the V1 (that I still own) than the V2, but the V2 have been arround for years needs an update, the competition is hard lately.
I’m still struggling to find the right bag for me. I’m just an old-school photographer, not a RUclips content creator or a pro photographer who needs drone shots. I’ve slimmed my kit down to one small camera with one small attached lens. My day hikes are usually in the UK Lake District which usually has at least 3 seasons in one day, most of them rainy (like Ireland?!). I need a bag that has space for a first aid kit, food, multiple layers of clothing as well as a tripod. Most bags dedicate too much space to camera equipment so at the moment I’m using a hiking backpack with the camera usually attached to the shoulder strap but if I do need to put the camera away it involves taking the whole bag off. Any ideas for a better bag?
What bag are you using for short travel if not the Peak Design? I travel a lot for work, been using a Fred Perry barrel bag for years. I need an upgrade! Thanks! (I like the form factor of duffle/barrel bags.)
Wandrd Prvke Lite (I have green) is by far the most comfortable bag I’ve used, or maybe on par with new Tenba Axis V2 20l. My other bags like Lowepro ProTactic 350 AW II are far behind.
I changed my green Lite to orange one, and nothing has changed regarding comfort of the bag - it’s very comfortable bag to wear. So this review must be taken with a grain of salt.
Hi. Would be really interested in knowing two things I noticed in the video - but not directly related. First, your watch really caught my eye and would love to know what it is. Secondly, would also love to know what drone model you use. Relatively new subscriber - but love the content. I am interested in journaling, content creation (wildlife), and EDC - so just wanted yo say thank you for the content.
I daily a Wandrd Prvke 31 and it's super awesome for my use. I'm not terribly tall, but it just works. I've also modded it a bit to add some load levelers from the straps to the upper latch points (where you have the Carabiner attached) for really long days with all the gear.
I have peak design and Prvke (non lite) and I absolutely LOOOVE Prvke. The only downside compared to Peak design is side access, it is too small to be able to change lenses. The rest is amazing. I have used it fully packed on longer hikes and it is VERY comfy for me.
My favorite one is the Tenba DNA 16, its got a drawer access vs the side access a lot of these bags have. I never side swing a bag, I take it off and put it down, so the bag has to stand up on its own. I've owned a bunch but I stopped buying after I got that one.
The wandrd prvke 31L is comfortable for me. I can imagine when they shrunk it to 21L that it would not be though. It’s a great general purpose backpack that is good for travel with a 3 zoom setup with a couple of primes or a spare body. I bounce between this, a 17L pacsafe thing, and an osprey stratos 34L (for hiking)
Pgytech onemo 2 is best and the most affordable backpack. Normally max is 35L but it can be extended temporarily by 10L, lol! I really don't know why you did not added this backpack here...
I have too many bags including two Peter Mckinnon bags, the one on the video is brilliant and the 25L Peter Mckinnon bag not cheap but brilliant. The other bags which I love are the Tenba axis they are built like tanks, the Peak Design bag which I also have is pretty poor I never use it.
I kind of agree with the peak design review but I also found it unbearable as it feels too heavy too often. And I’m not usually carrying too many things but the ergonomics don’t works for me either on top of everything you said. Good overall review video!
Yes the color of the luxrul is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc ...
Kindna of disagree that Prvke is uncomfortable. I’m 6.1 using the 11L and it has never given me any poking on my back feel from the bag. I guess it a matter of adjusting to fit.
Thanks for great video. Now I understood that I can have back pack better than one I have. Will check what can I buy interesting from our online marketplace.
To be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are kislux buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do?
@@chiu2003MOBILE It weighs less than the Peak design and is within the budget set. It's not my choice for this use but I love Shimoda and it's a great bag.
There is no "best" or "perfect" camera bag. Any choice you can make will be a set of compromises for any given situation. A bag might be perfect for one type of trip...one type of shoot...one type of terrain. But no backpack is perfect for all of them. Therefore, it is not perfect.
I'm surprise, i have the prvke and carry it in while riding my bike or just whole day carry with no issues. I guess my asian back is slightly different.
@@MarcusCreates everyone is different and has different experience. I like it when I'm riding my motorcycle. I am considering getting a shimoda bag..I happen to like their marketing.
The disrespect of not including Shimoda bags. Which I would genuinely argue is better than all of the bags you included in the video. Plus a similar price ranger and target audience.
Yeah the problem is that Peak design backpack is so good-looking every other camera backpack makes you look like a dork and you can get the 30 L you just have to put on some Mass just grow your shoulders wide enough that the backpack looks like a normal sized backpack
