When I was in the ministry in the late 1990s and early 2000s, I used to carry a notebook similar to yours. But I carried a 18" machete in a behind the back sheath, a 10" Bowie on my belt, and a 4" Buck lock blade folder in my pocket. I carried a shoulder bag for other ministry related items, and a 3 cell maglite, and 2 liters of water. Necessary EDC in the Hills of Northern Thailand where I live.
Hey Pastor Tim! This is Chaplain Tim!!! Loving your videos. I carry a small pocket knife, small aviator pen with me. I keep a small flashlight in my sling bag. I'm not allowed to carry a pistol on the base, so that isn't a part of my "any day" edc right now. Maybe when I choose to live off base.

It's good to know that you preach the Word and have EDC as a hobby. I don't feel so alone. People think I'm a nut just because I want to carry a Leatherman and wear paracord bracelets. I like to make bracelets and keep a piece of paracord with me when I'm going back and forth to work on the bus. I practice tying the diamond, Matthew Walker, Bowline, and the Yosemite Bowline when I'm waiting on the bus😀

What church... the picture looked familiar
Very simple but but has everything you need minus a multi tool. I'm the same with flashlights. I pretty much carry the same one all of the time and it has the tail cap button. It's so much easier to use that way. Look forward to checking out your sermons. Great vid as always.

Simple, yet effective.
Excellent video, I have my weekday EDC: Eagletac D25C Ti, kershaw cryo in SS with combo blade, Zebra 701 pen modified to accept fisher space pen refills! Luminox watch with tritium markings. Sunday go to meetin carry is rotation between: Benchmade 940-1701 from going gear, or CRKT cross bones, , or Kershaw AM4 Collaboration between Kershaw and Al-mar, and sometimes Kershaw Link-1776 in blue. Flashlight is the S1 Baton it Ti. Same pen and watch. God bless.
Is that the boker kwaiken mini or is it the plus??
I've used a small EDC knife as a Bible bookmarker, just use the pocket clip on the cover or clip on pages. Wish Bible pages were a little less thin. I do, however, get a few odds glances especially if I'm grazing through Revelations.

I'm a full time youth pastor, volunteer EMT, and middle school janitor, and my edc stays very similar between them all but with little variation between my gear for the duties. I keep a spare of all my stuff in my car so if I forget to quickly change something out at home first I'll at least have it with me in my vehicle if I'm in a hurry.

I am Baptist minister and while I wear a suit and tie I carry a analog timex with indiglow, a rovyon rechargeable light, a zebra F 701 pen a swiss army climber 91 mm ,and a 111 mm forester swiss army that I put nano clips on both so they are vertically in my pocket. oh and I subscribed

I'll check it out - I have never used Zebralight before.
I can't say that I'm gonna be in a church anytime soon but I really like those knives especially the Trapper.

When i go to church i leave my pocket knife in the car...i was told has a kid to never take weapons into church, whats your opinion on that? Thank you
I was raised that way as well, in the Methodist church. Times are different now. I currently attend a Baptist church. There is always a uniformed police officer in the entrance to the building. We also have numerous members who are law enforcement officers and carry concealed when not on the job, and I feel safer for that. What was it that Wayne LaPierre said? "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun". Are you old enough to remember the Louiville Slugger? The baseball bat every boy dreamed of owning, back in the day. Is it a toy, a tool or a weapon? It all depends on who is holding it, my teen aged son, Micky Mantle, or Al Cappone! When a church building was respected as sanctuary, then yeah maybe that was OK then. These days however I think a potential defensive weapon, such as a knife is totally appropriate. With the exception of air travel and government buildings, I've had a pocket knife on my person since I passed the requirements in Cub Scouts...all through school and college. The only person I've ever cut has been myself...quite by accident. I kept it in my pocket, didn't show it to my friends, didn't take it out to play with, but it was there if I, or someone else, needed it.

Totally depends on the church. I submit to the by-laws or standards set by the elders and pastors.

Charles Smith - I carry the Zebra pen set also, I got tired of being hassled at court house and airports with Tactical pens. All metal would get it done in an emergency..

I have to think this is On The Body Carry, not a separate EDC BAG. But for all the Office Workers out there, if Tim can carry that on his Person on Sunday, YOU should have no problems carrying something similar M-F, unless you have to go through a Security Checkpoint. As to whether he carries a Gun, Operational Security suggests that certain "Subjects" should not be Shared with the Entire Internet. Also, a lot of Churches FORBID Firearms in Churches, even if the State Allowed it. And a LOT of States FORBID Firearms in Churches, even if the Church wants to allow it. Hope this helps.

My observation is that people who use words like "christians" or "religion" have no clue what it means to be a christian, or what bible-based christianity really is, and the power of the gospel to change our lifes. I wish they would knew, because that would change their false views on christianity dramatically. True Christianity is based on the resurrected christ, not a pope, or any saints, or a theology, or man-made sacraments, or religious membership. So how can anybody be a christian without even realising that Christ is really alive, that he really rose from the dead? That supernatural revelation turned a religious fanatic persecutor to a REAL follower of christ - so that he wrote most of the letters of the new testament. And that man was the apostle Paul. From the human perspective this is simply impossible, but god made it happen. Are you not allowed to carry a gun in a church in your state. I know when I preach or my Pastor preaches we both open carry. The general response is that people are grateful and feel safer because we do carry in church. There are also at least another four people who carry a gun in our church. In no way is it disrespectful to God as long as it does not take attention away from God.
