For those asking about my T-shirt: cassidycraftcorner.com/
As a knife person myself if you want a classic knife get yourself a Buck. They are a Christian company and wear their faith on their sleeve by including John 3:16 on a card with every knife. They also talk about giving all glory to God for their business success. The Buck 110 is basically the classic carry knife but they have many options from classy ones to flippers like the Civivi. I've found myself really enjoying Kizer knives lately, so I'd also suggest them for a somewhat more affordable quality blade -- and they offer a lot in my favorite steel: N690!
You’re a natural teacher, leader and speaker 😁
I am shocked! You don’t have a fountain pen😂
It would sure sort out the smooth writing thing in his journals even more than the pens he’s using. Doesn’t even need to change brands - Pilot make some fine fountain pens. I like my Pilots fountain pens as much as any of the other brands I’ve used.
Me, loving and laughing at the fact that we have the same pens, watch brand, Amazon basics notebook, carry devotionals, etc. while my wife sits next to me and rolls her eyes 😂😂😂
She's annoyed that you're particular over a certain pencil 😅 ✏️
Fun video. I got used to wearing a multiplier tool on my belt while long-haul truck driving, and I used it quite a bit for odd things like pulling pieces of nail or screws out of tires or tightening up a screw that holds on a trailer turn signal, or using the flat-head screwdriver to pry out the trailer brake light that sits in a rubber gasket. Even at home I still wear it and use it regularly. I usually have a small 1 or 2 inch pocket knife also and mostly use it to open up the Amazon packages or to cut some duct tape or such. I had also gotten tired of the cheap Walmart watches and bought a Victorinox Inox watch with band that is basically rubber. It has been great for the last 3 or 4 years even while truck driving. The crystal is not scratched, it keeps very accurate time, was well worth the investment. Very interesting video, Pastor Matt.
Hey brother! Would love to see a video of how you do home visits and particularly how you minister the word when you do this. That seems to be an area lacking some instruction and wisdom these days. I think most pastoral visits turn into social visits. Thanks for your content!
Smoking is not a moral issue, it’s a health issue.
Im a reformed baptist, and I love my pipe. Not all Baptists are equal!😂
The key to metal watch bands is go higher end (solid links as opposed to folded/hollow). I avoided them for years as well, but was given a nice Bulova watch for my 40th birthday…what a difference.
I love the Post It tabs And the micron pens. I use the tabs for bell choir music.
I recently came across this video and loved the idea for the prayer journal at 18:13. I bought that exact one on Amazon and recently got it. I noticed on the listing it said it was 3.5" x 5.5" and had pockets in the front and back so I also bought some 3x5 note cards to try with it and they fit perfectly in the pockets of it. So my plan is to keep some blank cards in the bigger back expanding pocket and when I do get a request for a specific time bound prayer like an upcoming appointment for a friend or family member I can write it on one of the index cards and then store it in the front pocket to reference. Then once it is answered I can note the date and the answer then I also bought a cheap plastic note card holder to archive all those answered prayers in.
Civivi Baby Banter is a nice EDC knife. When I do put it in my pocket I barely know it’s there. It’s a very small but nicely made knife that is very practical for its size.
For journaling, there’s nothing smoother than a decent fountain pen. Pilot make some really nice ones. Not so cheap, but find one you like and it should pretty much last a lifetime if taken care of - just refill with ink.
Great video! Love you lots Pastor Matt
Time to go shopping! But first let me finish my cigar. Lol. Thanks again Pastor Matt. Have a blessed Easter.
@MatthewEverhard 😆😆I was not expecting an old skool tobacco pipe! If You want to see a sherlock holmes style pipe, I have a dunhill calabash in a bruyere finish, and it has a sterling silver band where the vulcanite stem connects to the briar bowl! I've had it since '06. My first pipe, and still my favorite!
I love the pigma microns and really like the look of the Sepia colour. It’s a really classy dark brown
I've never understood why anyone cares what anyone else carries with them each day. But here we all are. I love these types of vids.
THANK YOU for telling people to put their Bibles (and even other books) spine down in their backpack/bag! Yegads, that drives me nuts. I figured that would be common sense. But, nope. Then people wonder why their Bible is falling apart.
I might have to look into that mechanical pencil. I have never found one that works for me. (I guess because I usually get cheapie ones.) Even when I'm intentionally trying to write lightly, they always break.
Been honing this for the last few months. When I saw this show up in my feed, I cracked up. Thanks for this!
Writing pens for your journal: another smooth suggestion is the Uni Jetstream101 0.7mm nib. They also do a 0.5 and 0.3 and the latter doesn’t seem to bleed in my bible either, but it’s a little scratchy. Also a selection of colours, but I found them a bit blotchy for underlining, although they add a bit of punch to general underlining, when you’ve underlined too much and something needs picking out more. They do write nicelythough.
Nice fun video- I think you needed it! Blessings, Jeff
I used to smoke cigars back in the day on occasion but have thought of getting into pipe smoking. Probably more for the smell and less of the smoking.
Enjoyed the video...thanks for sharing!
I've tried the pigma micron pens, but I'm not fond of felt tip pens. My favorite pen, for normal, or bible writing is a fine point fischer space pen. I have a zebra f-701 with a fischer insert. I needed a pen that would survive living in my jeans pocket, and the zebra is all stainless steel. I also recommend log+jotter for pocket notebooks.
Happy Good Friday Greetings and Blessings to you and yours… I want to start Bible journaling so I want to check out those Sigma micron pens 😁
Great video! A lot of good tips. For backpacks, I like the Swiss brand.
Happy Good Friday, brother! Hope you're well
Thanks! You too!
Will you make a return to a new Cambridge Wide Margin? I believe from a past video that you have a brand new un-touched Bible in your collection.
The trinitarian Bible society also has a Bible with the Psalms of David in meter in the back which is awesome! It is a little hard to find but if you use the search term below you'll get there.
"Royal Ruby Text Bible with Metrical Psalms (hardcover) - Black [31MP/ABK]"
I can relate to this ❤ as a believer I can't leave a house without my bible, pen, Notebook, sticky note, color marker 😇 and the best part is that my bible has to many notes in every sides of it 😊 in short is over used 😇❤️ but I really love my bible I have 6 bibles 3 plain English,1 is English Tagalog,2 is bisaya language, so for now a days is really important to go through the words of God for it is our life especially this wicked day's 🙏 God bless ❣️
Thanks. Some good suggestions. I'll pass on the shirt though. We're not just nice, we're right. 😁
Love G2s! But at a .38. I can do .5 too. Uni Ball .5 and .38 are great.
The automatic pencil that I’m monogamous with is the Pentel P205 and the regular wood pencil I love is the Ticonderoga #3 and sometimes the #3.5. I just reloaded my church bible with fresh tabs yesterday!
Barb, awesome! I’ve had the same Pentel P205 for 30 years! My other favorite is the Pentel GraphicGear 500, also been using the same one since the 1990s. They both feel great in the hand and just seem to last forever. For pens I used Pilot Razor Point for decades, but have switched to the Pilot Frixion which are amazing.
Same here the P205 is the best mechanical pencil by far, perfect balance and feel.
I like the Pilots as well. I have some 0.38
two of my worlds have combined. 🙌
Pastor Mat could you do a deep study video on the regulative principle of worship
best pacer/mechanical pencil is the uni Kuru Toga
I love your T-shirt!
Since you prefer VBV Bibles with wide margins, have you thought about Crossway’s VBV Preachers Bible which you reviewed a couple of years ago?
That was fun!
I have the exact same civivi knife
What’s a good pipe Tobacco? 🤔
Is that an ESV Legacy on the desk?
Thumbs up for the shirt!
I'd avoid Dr. Graybow pipes (although they were my first) as the finishes are often wanting. For those who aren't sure about whether or not they want to take up pipe smoking I'd go for an even lower price point, also made in America: a Missouri Meersham corncob pipe (as with a Graybow or any other, ditch the filter).
It's a good clean smoke and if you decide you don't want to stick with pipe smoking you're out about $12. If as an inexperienced pipe smoker you burn through it (and you likely will), you're out about $12.
I love that shirt. I have to admit I’m not surprised to see the pipe. Wouldn’t be a reform theologian without that and maybe a craft beer. 😂
Great Video!!!!
Ok, now I LOVE the shirt where did you get that.

Matt, Dave said never ever open your two blades at the same time. It can destroy the spring, but, I told him it was just for demonstration.
Dave is a Gun guy and a flashlight guy! He has way too many. Also, haha, my David uses scotch tape to keep his handlebar mustache in place at night. It’s so funny when he forgets to remove all of the tape, and I have to take it off at the grocery store! Lol
Thanks for the video, I on the other hand, do most of the things you do with the tabs and pens and books.
Love u Matt and Kelly!
Janie and Dave
Matthew you should totally consider doing your own online school or classes 😁
Like your shirt sir. :)
Where did you get that T-Shirt?
cassidycraftcorner.com/
everyone that collects or smokes pipes should get themselves a corncob pipe. They are really cheap and can last you a good while if you take good care of it. I have 3 of them and they have been great.
Are you from Lynden WA?
Is the pitt minion still in service?
I think he mentioned a year or so ago that it had gotten too small for his eyes. I'm sure he still uses it a little, but I don't think it is one he regularly uses anymore.
Brother Matthew, I love this video, but you are lacking in your pencil. PLEASE look at the Uni Kuru Toga Advance Mechanical Pencil. It automatically rotates the lead in the barrel as you write so that you don't get the 'slant' when writing a lot. Happy Good Friday!!!
Agreed, Bigger verse numbers please.
That shirt though!
SBC pastor here...I love smoking pipes :) Carry on!
No rosary?
I think you underestimate the amount of pipe/cigar smoking baptists that watch your channel sir 😅
The word of the Lord stands forever; mine (and yours) are subject to change! Therefore: pencils are the perfect writing tool for Bibles!
(Plus, Baptists get an apology, but not us Arminians?)
*pray for so-and-so’s cousin’s swollen foot 😂😂😂
If you put your Bible in a one or two gallon resealable bag; squeeze out the air; and fold the excess bag around the Bible before putting it in your bag, your Bible will be much better protected from accidental damage and spillage.
The best mechanical pencil I've found is the Pentel Graphgear
I’ve been using the same Pentel GraphicGear 500 since the mid 1990s. Just nearly indestructible!
@@weightlessliving9856 Wow, it's cheap, too. If I ever found a mech pencil that didn't break, I'd be thrilled! I don't even think I write that hard.
@@Yesica1993 Yeah I love it! My other favorite is the Pentel P205. I’ve also been using the same one since the mid 1990s. I got both in college. Highly recommend them both. 😁
If you need good beard products Matthew, give me a shout! Happy to hook you up! I am a subscriber on my personal channel!
That's awesome bro! Your stuff looks cool. Maybe we can collaborate somehow.
@@MatthewEverhard Would love to! ο Θεός να σε ευλογεί
Also: if you're not using Book Darts, do you even read?
Way, way better than your post-it flags.
Do you smoke weed too? Is that bad
Smoking Molinism, literally 😂!
Ha! Arminians Are Nice, but stay away from calvanists in the cage stage...
I'm wondering. Have you ever looked into the background Calvin, the one you hold up as a bright and shinning example of Christianity, issues such as his endorsed torchure and murder of those he deemed heretics. I wouldn't have mentioned it except your "in your face" t-shirt caused me to wonder. Calvin is not a man that I would be proud to associate myself with, and based on his actions is not a man who can be considered to be a Christian.
Oh you mean the Calvin that had no power in Geneva anymore who begged Servetus not to come because he knew what would happen?
Randal, consider David and Solomon and their horrendous crimes against God. Yet they were men of God. God's grace is greater than our sin.
