    Thanks for the full review and showing what actually fits. I just ordered mine. I am selling my Peak Design Tote - lovely exterior but hate that it doesn’t open up fully and you need to side pack it which is so uncomfortable. I actually only used it 1x because that’s how tedious it is to pack. Look forward to receiving my new bag 😃 I do have the A7III w/ a G- 16-35 + a small 85 mm but no flash so i think I’ll be ok hehe.

    Thanks for the review. I'm still debating to get it. I'm not a fan of the side access and I wish they would just have the same pocket on both sides so I can carry a tripod on one side and a water bottle on the other. As for the essential camera cube sounds like it's too small for a 100-400 plus one Mirrorless camera?

    Great review, thanks! One thing I cannot see in all the reviews of the Prvke is if the main compartment can be further compartmentalized, i.e. is there a divider between the top flap and the bigger bottom compartment you show at 6:39. You later say that there is a velcroed flap, is this really a divider? Thing is that I like the backpack but I am no photographer and will only use this for work travel with light clothes for one night and would like to have a separate compartment for 'private' stuff (e.g. clothes, toiletry, etc.).

    BUYER BEWARE! "lifetime guarantee" is only for a full failure of the bag that renders it useless as I found out. Their Wander More Worry Less claim is BS. I needed a part of my v1.0 repaired because a stitch line was starting to unravel and they were not willing to take it back for repair. "We don't do that" they said. They wanted me to find a seamstress a local seamstress to get a quote for repair. I live in a suburban area where specialty seamstress are uncommon. So I went to 3 different tailors in my area and they can't do the repair. What a waste of time and energy! I like the bag otherwise, took it on several international trips with good results. I just need it repaired and not replaced. Lol.

    Thanks for the review. I have the previous 21L and just upgraded to the new 21L recently. However, I find the essential cube seems to have a "loose fit" in the new PRVKE. The fit is not as snug as the previous version when used in the lower compartment. Did you notice this problem as well? When I try to get my camera out, I had to hold down on the cube so it does not "pop out or slide out" of the lower compartment. I tried to solve this problem by taping a velcro strip at the bottom, which is not a perfect solution. Also, there is a single looped strap at the bottom compartment, which I am not sure what it is used for. Would like to see if you have noticed the same on some of these issues. Thanks. Great channel by the way.

    I really can't decide between the 21L and 31L. New to videography and will have 2-4 lenses with me - 3 of which will be primes. I might have a gimbal in the future but I currently don't and want to learn without it for at least a while. Perhaps a drone in the future, but maybe not. So I'm kind of stuck in the middle, because I feel like current equipment I only need the 21L really. But am I making too big of a deal between 21 and 31? When I was looking at Shimoda it was between the 30 and 40L so this is already as small or smaller in comparison. Just worried I might regret not having some extra space for some future pieces to make it easier, or use for travel and get 31L, but also worried I might regret getting extra space that I don't need and a 21L would feel nicer to just grab and use for any day trip. All of it is unfortunately hypothetical because I need a case, but I'm new... Any recommendations?

    • @DesmondCheng

    Extremely well explained review. Living in Italy I've never succeeded to see one for real and I'm still hesitating between the 21l or 31L. In its 21 version it seems very multipurpose backpack for one or 2 days in a city (with another luggage of course) I do have a lumix G90 and a GH5 camera with a leica 12-60 lens and an olympus 40-150. Being not a professional video/photo make do you think that a panasonic GH5 or G90 would be easily accessible by the side door ? Thanks for your attention and reply. Best regards from Italy. Christian

    • @DesmondCheng
      @DesmondCheng  Год назад

      Hi Christian, yes it would be easily accessible! I use my Sony A7IV and its fine. BUT i will say that the side access is not the easiest when compared to other bags like Lowepro, Tenba, Think Tank, etc.

      @@DesmondCheng Thanks so much for the prompt answer , very helpful. I fully agree on the other backpack but I'm looking more for an hybrid one that would offer both space for personal items such a jacket, pullover or other T-shirts (Italy is very warm...) and the possibility to take with me part of my camera devices. In addition, for visiting cities, it seems to offer the advantages that it's not a typical camera bag, seems comfortable to have it on the shoulders and have additional space for some small purchases such as souvenirs, clothes, spices ...with the upper "roll" top. That would be more fun not to have your hands free without plastic bags from shopping... Have a nice day and stay safe

    Is it worth upgrading/side grading from a peak design everyday backpack v1? I'm a big fan of the side flaps cos it had always allowed me to access some prime lenses that I'd packed into the sides. The wandrd looks like it is more comfortable, but less 'standing and backpack strapped access' convenient.

    • @brightboxstudio
      @brightboxstudio 2 года назад +4

      I was actually at a camera store today comparing both of those bags. (Well, I have a v1 Everyday Backpack and of course the store has v2, but it’s similar enough.) Frankly, I was shocked how much bulkier and wider the Prvke 21 looks next to the EB 20L. (Also puzzling that the Prvke Lite didn’t appear much smaller than the Prvke 21.) I also found the wide roll top, buckle, and tote handles on the Prvke to be too much going on and too fussy, compared to the open-in-one-second simplicity of the EB top flap. I think the Prvke roll top protects and secures a top load much better than the EB, but what I learned today was how much I prefer the minimalist simplicity of the EB.
      I went to the store thinking the Prvke Lite might resolve some issues I have with the EB, but I went home deciding to stay with the EB v1. Just my personal preference, though…the Prvke is an extremely impressive bag, it’s just not for me.

    • @antant06
      @antant06 2 года назад

      @@brightboxstudio yeah, I kind of feel that if I'm after some of the functionality of the prvke but want the convenience of the PD then a compromise is the (ugly) lowepro protactic series lol.
