I know this has been a super popular bag for photo/video creators. Let me know your experience if you've had one or any questions you have if you're looking at one👍
I think the click feature on the opposite side is for one of their accessories. And there’s a hidden pocket in the bottom as well. Great video keep it up😄
That strap above the water bottle s great for holding an extra tripod, go pro stick, etc. I can also strap in my 600 ml (20 oz) hydra flask into it by putting the lid handle through the strap on days I am going to Uni. It keeps it from sliding out. I love this bag. Though I am afraid it is too big for the small personal item bag for the EU carriers. I am considering getting one of the slings or the 11 liter lite version of this bag, and selling this one on when I am done with uni. Thanks for showing the peak designs camera plate does fit on the strap.
I’ve had the 31L for years. What is potentially the best benefit is Wandrd’s lifetime warranty. It’s legit lifetime. My zipper just broke in the quick access pocket, I’ve had the bag for easily 5 years. I sent pics of the zipper and sent me a brand new 31L new style bag. That blew my mind! The only con for me of this bag is where the shoulder straps connect with the bottom of the bag. It tends to rub there for me and on long hikes it can get annoying. But other than that 1 con, it’s amazing.
Man, I love hearing stories like that of good brands out there taking care of their customers! Yeah man, I’ve been so dang impressed by this bag so far, I might be buying the 31L soon!
Welp, you just saved me a few hundred dollars! I also have a Prvke I bought about 5 years ago, and the side access zipper has been broken for a few months (seems to be a issue common issue on the first version of this bag). I was checking reviews for the new version intending to buy it to replace mine and saw your comment, I had completely forgotten about the lifetime warranty. Raised a warranty claim and within a day they had sent me a code for the full price of a new bag. Such a well thought out bag, and from a company that actually stands behind their product and offers such great support. Can't recommend it enough.
3:51 I suspect it's to tighten the backpack to keep it snug when you don't pack it full, so it won't be loose. It keeps things in place. Very common on mountain biking and biking backpacks.
I’m not a photographer, more of a commuter. Been using it (the OG PRVKE) as my EDC bag and for weekend travels for 3 years now. Loved it in every way. Unfortunately the main zipper broke yesterday. Due to the lifelong warranty I reached out to WANDRD to see what I could do. They answered me within 2 hours(!!!) and managed to hook me up with a 100% discount code to order a new PRVKE. (Since they don’t do the OG anymore, they allowed me to replace it with the all new PRVKE). So: amazingly versatile backpack, amazing customer service. You can tell that this product is made by people who put a lot of thought into it and love what they do! Really excited to check out the new PRVKE and add more trips and memories to it! 10/10 backpack for me!
Hands down this has been my favorite camera bag too. I believe there’s a pocket on the very bottom of the bag for a rain cover (or whatever else you wanna hide there) as well.
I have the original prvke 21 and it also has the clip strap on the side without the pocket. I think it's meant for trekking poles, but honestly, I use it for my tripod (slide two tripod legs inside the strap and one on the outside and even without the pocket, it has never fallen out before) so that I can use the actual pouch side for my water bottle.
Great video, I was worried you weren't going to show how the cube connects with the bag. I like the bag but now I want a camera cube!!! Would love to hear more about 32 bit float and why a lot of creatives are raving about it.
I loved my 21L so much a bought an 11L as my work bag. After 2 years on construction sites my 11L still looks brand new. I get so many compliments on the bag.
Hang your tripod there 2legs in/1over the strap. Can add another strap to stabilise the bottom of the tripod.. it'll free your wanted 2nd bottle holder..
Great job showing the bag!!! You forgot about the pocket on the bottom of the bag too + the addition of accessory straps! I show the Wasatch Green color way on my channel, and tbh you are one of the reasons why I got back into RUclips. Thanks David!!
@@theshantanugupta yeah same. I was using the brevity backpack for traveling but I wanted something waterproof. Also the brevity is really uncomfortable when it’s loaded up. The wandrd is another world of comfort compared. And I got the waist straps for long hikes.
@@todddammit4628 this is good to hear. I have the Brevity Jumper Large and like it but need something g bigger but not as clunky as my Shimoda x30. Something better to travel with. This sounds like it’s a good fit. I’ll be going on Safari next year and like the idea of durable, water resoistant with ample room.
FYI: there is a secret bottom pocket on the underside (the floor side) of the backpack. At least my V1 did (which included a rain cover for the backpack).
Might be a tripod strap, but usually there’s a bottom pocket or cradle to hold the tripod feet. Otherwise it would swing a bit from the top I think. No idea man, just the oddest mystery strap! Hahaha!
Great review of an awesome backpack. The material on the "regular" WANDRD Prvke bags (where yours is black camo Cordura) is truck tarpaulin (truck tarp) like what you have on big lorries. It's a very weatherproof material. The bottom and rolltop part of all WANDRD Prvke backpacks is Robic 1680D Ballistic Nylon. There is one more external pocket at the bottom of the bag where you can store a backpack rain cover.
It actually makes way more sense on the right strap for me! I always pickup my bag by the right strap and put that on first and if the camera is on the left, it swings around awkwardly
You forgot the pocket on the bottom outside of the bag and also their strap systems are pretty solid that hook onto the loops. They also have a waist strap kit that hooks on!
Really great video thank you. I'm thinking about buying this bag for travelling far away in 2 weeks, my question is do you think we can easily put a gimbal in this backpack (a small one like RS3 Mini or Crane M3)? I'm also travelling with some stuff (not big): external disk, memory cards, a6400 and 3 small/medium lenses.
3 things… 1) sick bag 2) nice cheesy porn music 3) thank you so much for using metric system…your Canadian fans love it. Bonus) as always, great video.
Maybe the straps over the quick-access works with the "tripod strap" on the other side to compress the top area of the bag it it's empty (so it isn't flopping around as much)
Can relate to being a prime lens snob. 🤣 20/35/50 is my happy kit. But a 70-300 zoomy if I feel like having a full kit. I have a Crumper (because Australian) camera/15" MBP bag to fit that but these days i just use a normal backpack to carry a gopro setup instead. PS how is your UEC riding skills going? Or did you have to give that back, I can't remember lol
The newer zooms for sure put an end to my prime lens snobbery, but for portraits I still go back to my 85mm🙌 And the unicycle riding isn't progressing massively. I take it out here and there, but I think I hit a plateau as far as my skills go. I would say I'm a decent rider now, curbs are no issue, but jumps are still not happening and my top speed is about 22-25mph before I chicken out🤣
Another great review, I carry similar gear to you . Thanks . 31L looks to be ideal if you need to add a drone set up. Mini 3 with batteries and the controller.
Its always nice to see your videos. It seems like the Wandrd Prvke takes lots of cues from the Shimoda Action-X . There are some nice improvements from Shimoda’s design, but it misses a few of their features too.
I’ve got the 31 litre bag. The only problem I have with it is the black camera cube, please make an option for a grey cube or a cube the same colour as the bag. Black camera gear in a black cube in poor lighting is no joke. Otherwise a great bag.
I have the original 31L and have flown with it several times, my only issue is it is too large to fit under the seat on planes so you really have to be strategic if it’s a full flight and no overhead space, and once I get to my location I would really like a smaller bag that I can use for day use, getting in and out of cars, boats and small planes (taking a trip to Alaska in a couple months) Any suggestions on a bag I can toss in a checked bag to pull out for day use while on location?
Be careful if you buy the backpack in Australia as spare parts are not stocked. I lost chest band as shown in the video, and WNDRD was $5 used to replace and $100 USD to post! Outrageous, find a better supplier because the chest strap is easily lost!
11:58 are those separators, and padding in the pack impact protection or just foam like stuff? As a mountain biker, I want to keep my camera safe so I use a back protector on top of camera, so it wraps around from bottom to top, and downhill mountain biking and moto rated elbow pads on the side in a bed sheet sock, so my camera is fully covered. So my camera is likely very safe now, probably safer than a dedicated camera pack, even those meant for this, they don't seem to be protective enough, like those from Evoc. So I suspect I can crash very hard and camera would be safe. I got an a7 IV with 85mm lens. The lens goes up, the only way it would fit in my USWE Patriot 15. The zippered back panel opens the main rear compartment, but how I use roll tops is usually to stash an extra jacket. The roll top expands the bag by an extra 5L when you need it and I don’t want to open up the back panel with all my camera gear just to grab my jacket👍
