RUclips happened. They did one of those "routine clean-outs" and removed about 18,000 subs. The bot usually removes spam accounts and bot accounts, but this time it really messed up. and removed real people.
Wait, 2's the better one? I tried it the other day and long story short, with an unorthodox trick system (as someone coming from Tony Hawk and SSX), heavy gravity, No mercy AI and the first BIG air qualifier punishing me for doing good but not AWESOMELY, I couldn't get into it. And you're telling me is the better one? Granted the racing itself is fun, but the rest of the game hates me.
Richard Savings This was a dark time for snowboarding games. They all had to be sim heavy, for some reason. 1080 Snowboarding on the N64 was the only one of those kind of games that was even remotely fun IMO, and even that isn't very good anymore in the light of the SSX games.
Well there was the Snowboard Kids games on the N64, which was basically Mario Kart but with snowboards. Amazing games and definitely worth playing if you're tired of the snowboard sims.
I'm starting to think that me and all the other people that have fond memories of this game come from a parallel universe where this game is an actual masterpiece
RUclips were dumbasses and in an attempt to get rid of inactive subs on people's accounts, unsubbed a load of (still active) people. One of the many things that frustrates me about youtube, and the fact that there's literally no alternative to it.
***** I know right. That is one of my personally favorite PlayStation 2 games to play. Or at least, one of my favorite PlayStation 2 games I used to play before my console's memory card broke down.
Oh, yes. Also, he should probably review different versions of the game. I understand the characters' themes were a little different in Rayman: Arena than it was in Rayman: M (the original version of that game). The differences in the versions of Globox's theme were very noticeable; one used the horns option on a keyboard while the other used some actual brass, probably a trombone.
Well that's good news. After being Cease and Desisted by Hasbro for his Pony animations... then jerked around by Hasbro for months and months because they think Ponies have the attention span of goldfish... it's nice to see Jans Animation making a comeback. Very nice. Best Fortune.
+Nova Shark the issue was, I played it completely fresh with the only knowledge of it from people who were completely nostalgic for it, and so I was expecting a shining gold star, and what I got was an okay kart racer. Playing a game with a fresh perspective is the only way to really get an unbiased opinion.
I really liked this game. It has a steep learning curve, but I found that it was really rewarding once you got into it. For once, dearly beloved Caddy, I completely disagree with your opinion on a game! ;)
Totally agree. CB4 was super easy cos everyone said CB3 was too hard and it was very boring because it was too easy. Snowboards don't turn on a dime it shouldn't move like THPS. CB3 was a little too hard (the spins were tough to land) but I'll take that over too easy any day.
I think I _might_ have had this game in my house when I was, like, 4. I remember playing _some_ sort of snowboarding game where you can punch the other boarders.
The issue with Lair is the controls. Six axis works sometimes, if you have your PS3 positioned well and all that. The major mistake was making it the primary tool you use to control your dragon. Everything else was good with that game. It still looks good and the concept is great. Controls make or break games.
I know. I was referring to the Amino community centered around Normal Boots and Hidden Block which you can join on the Amino app which Caddy talked about at the beginning of the video.
Because his scheduele was becoming overcrowded, so he decided to stop some of his series and just do Current Quickies, Film Fridays and The Caddicarus Show.
To be honest, I'm not sure why he still doesn't want to do them. I mean doing them often was probably a hassle, but once in a while could work. Like a special episode every X months or so. Could be a thing
You know, most of the games you've reviewed on your channel, I used to play as a kid. Thanks for the nostalgia!! Also, this was one of three (along with Twisted Metal 3 and tomb raider 3, I know a lot of threes) games that were given to me when my step dad bought my first PlayStation, and I hated it then. So thank you for reminding me why I hated it so much.
I also like in the intro how in The Bare Necessities, Caddy runs into the door when the line "forget about your worry and your strife" was about to play
I'd like to see a review of Tomorrow Never Dies for the PS1. I played it as a very little kid and never got past the first level, but have heard it isn't a very good game to begin with.
After enough tries on it, as a kid, I managed to get through it somehow. I discovered that you have to go through the hanger doors and run to a jet, then the cutscene plays. I believe I finished the game as it was one of the first ps games I got, but I honestly don't remember it.
HouseMD93 Ah right. As a kid, I somehow convinced myself that the helicopter you see take off had something to do with advancing the game. I spent hours resetting the level just so I could get onto the helicopter or try to stop it from flying off.
You know what I'd like to see? A video or two that looks at games that were released on both the PlayStation and Nintendo 64, comparing and contrasting the two versions and determining which version you'd prefer.
I remember having a lot of fun with this game as a kid, so I played a little bit to satisfy my nostalgia and... Yeah, I pretty much think the same as Caddy, not even nostalgia glasses can save this one...
Actually this game is developed by 989 Studios, while the first two were developed by UEP Systems. They are quite different, so don't think of CB3 as an upgrade from CB2 or something like that
For me, the SSX games on PS2, especially SSX On Tour, were the best snowboarding games were my favourite. I know Caddy mentioned Tricky, but SSX 3 and On Tour were my favourites by far.
I would say that loved this game but tbh I played it for five mins and forgot what it was. It literally just sat on some shelf in the basement for the past 11 years. Also, SSX is the only snowboarding game that the world needs.
I played a demo of this game on my channel (and yes it is that bad). It's "Toys R Us: Attack of the Killer Demos Part 3", if anyone is interested (be warned it's an old video, so it's not my best work).
Took all three kids in my family with a seven year difference to unlock the whole game and we were pretty disappointed at the end of it too. (we also didn't really know cheat codes were a thing so... there's that) Glad we're not alone!!
I hate the argument "the game is not bad,git gud". glitches and bad graphics are not the only flaws a game can have, bad design choices do not equal difficulty. Games like dark souls' avoid the criticisms of bad design by building the game AROUND THE level design. Also he's played harder games than this so your argument is invalid.
+Red Hood that doesn't mean anything, in say SADX where all you have to do is hold up on the loop and Egoraptor tries to find glitches by pressing every button on the controller while his puppet Ross agrees on all of Erin's opinions. That's why I miss JonTron, he challenged Erin's opinions and didn't nitpick on the simplest things. Well that and he was funny.
Red Hood I never said the game is not bad git gud. I said that he immediately wrote off the tricks and such as stupid and too difficult. I believe he said how can anyone even think this is fun. Thats him not wanting to learn the trick system, which is totally fair, but don't go around claiming its so hard and convoluted that it ruins the game. Good job disproving something I wasnt even saying though
I hope you'll talk about Ape Escape one day. Loved that game when I was little and I've found hardly any people at all talking about it. It deserves way more recognition than it's getting.
+Rayshio Tile This is true, but Caddy DID say in the video that the link would be in the description, so... that's a little misleading. I'm sure he just forgot, but, y'know. Oops.
Caddy, were you listening to the Black Eyed Peas again?
Stop joking. This is a hilarious British guy we're talking about!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
FUNNY JOKKK
Shut up, just shut up, shut up
mmmmmMMMMmmmmm, FUNNYYYYY JOKE!
Arin?
Can we talk about Caddy's amazing Vib Ribbon PS1 (that looks to be a birthday present or something like that) for a second? It's so cool looking.
I never thought someone could make me laugh simply by saying "trees, hills, wood, and stumps" xD
Last time I was this early, THAT'S HOW WE DID IT IN MY GARDEN
Caddy will you do a face reveal for 500,000 subs?
you can see his face
i know
Luke Unknown the Red Sliver Oh sorry i meant to reply to the other guy
Wait caddy has a face?
it's a crappy joke that has run it's course
So close back to 500K. Come on RUclips, give Caddy back his subs
I know right
How did he lose them caddy is awesome
+Max Cain the inactive channel purge
RUclips happened. They did one of those "routine clean-outs" and removed about 18,000 subs.
The bot usually removes spam accounts and bot accounts, but this time it really messed up. and removed real people.
SkullzArt that sucks ow well he'll probably get them back
Isn't Cool Boarders 2 the "good" one? Never heard any praise for this one.
Well Cool Boarders 2 is okay the one that is actually fun and playable but not in any way shape or form perfect.
honestly this one was my favorite mostly because it was the first one i ever played
I'm starting to think that me and all the other people that have fond memories of this game come from a parallel universe where this game is an actual masterpiece
True :D it has its own controll style, sure stiff since same devs as SyponFilter(i think), but 3 and 4 was funn :D
More like an older cousin or brother left the copy with you and u loved it because you looked up too them.
Oh just me? My bad
Everytime I look at the subscriber count I get upset.
I think they make pills for that now.
RUclips did a thing, nuff said.
RUclips were dumbasses and in an attempt to get rid of inactive subs on people's accounts, unsubbed a load of (still active) people. One of the many things that frustrates me about youtube, and the fact that there's literally no alternative to it.
Pewdiepie lost 600,000 subs
+I Frames You don't understand how RUclips works.
Man, I loved this game as a kid. Mostly because you get to punch the AI.
Cool Boarders 3? More like Cool BOREDers 3!
(I'm sorry)
Holy shit I made this joke too. We are both terrible.
We can all be terrible together!
+RavenStarver yay
I can make it even terrible-r: "uncool boreders 3" xD
Honestly, just play MTV Snowboarding instead.
Next time, Syphon Filter mebbe?
Maybe he'll try that for 500K 2.0
Oh God that would be cool
yusss
Oh yes. Please do this Caddy.
Except, he has to play the first or 2nd game only. The third one is not as good and the PS3 ones were just odd.
Hey, caddie. Have you ever heard of Rayman: Arena?
***** I know right. That is one of my personally favorite PlayStation 2 games to play. Or at least, one of my favorite PlayStation 2 games I used to play before my console's memory card broke down.
+The Bard the music was the shiiiiiiiiit in that game
he would have probably heard about it as rayman M.
+blueblur98 Yesss, me and my brother loved that game. Caddy should definitely do a video on some old-school Rayman.
Caddy covers an era of video games and he combines entertainment, comedy, and nostalgia. Love these game analysis videos.
odamn, _that_ Jan?
Yep! The same one. And I hate them, Hasbro lawyers, for giving that C&D to Jan. >:(
Oh hey, it's my favourite horse famous
I am so glad that ugly sprite in the intro is gone
I agree, but his avatar is still the same
wouldn't call it ugly, more like a horrendous piece of shit
I know right, how dare he do something he wants to do?
the evil has been defeated
I liked that sprite
"Caddy, what happened to your face?" "I..uh... walked into a door..."
"His animations are so good they look like the real thing"
Doesn't show the amazing MLP animations that looked show accurate Lmao xD
My favourite ps1 snowboarding game is MTV Snowboarding. The UK PlayStation Magazine rated it just 6/10, and I haven't forgiven them since.
Since you mentioned it. Can you do a video on one of the SEX games
you want to try that again?
I think that'd be against youtube's Terms of Service
You wanna try that again?
Those are my favorites ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
But Brutalmoose is the guy on RUclips with all the porn games.
Cool Boarders 2 was by far the best. I remember spending so much time on it.
Wait, was that a legit bruise?
I'm kinda slow when it comes to this stuff so sorry if it isn't but is is?
If so it looks really painful!
I am as well
Music sounded awesome..
I feel like Caddies opinion on this game kinda matches my opinion on Mario Kart 64
I like Mario kart 64 but I completely understand why you don't
How can you possibly completely understand how he doesn't when he left virtually no details?
+tgsachris check his channel he made a review on it
+Nova Shark the issue was, I played it completely fresh with the only knowledge of it from people who were completely nostalgic for it, and so I was expecting a shining gold star, and what I got was an okay kart racer.
Playing a game with a fresh perspective is the only way to really get an unbiased opinion.
+Nova Shark sorry, responded to the wrong person
GET THE BETTER BOARDS!!!!!!@!!!!!! everything gets better once you get past the starter boards
Caddy must've walked into the kitchen door playing Pokémon Go...
No guys, he doesn't deserve 500k subs.
He deserves twice as much.
Caddy, what do you think about the PS4 remake of Crash Bandicoot coming soon? :D
Ain't that going to just be a remaster? Like the original Final Fantasy 7 on PS4?
+Crazy Diamond no its being rebuilt from the ground up
+Crazy Diamond Oh sorry I didn't read the "Original" in your comment ^^ ehh ignore that
RevampedCobra73
Oh, neat.
by the way Final Fantasy 7 is gunna be a remake
Why is it that snowboarding gets the worst treatment in terms of sports games?
I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW MYSELF AT 2:18
Death by Proxy. Conglats. Ur een a veedo
lol
I used to play this game and rediscovered it not so long ago
the memories :)
CB3 was a little too hard (the spins were tough to land) but I'll take that over too easy any day.
i'm so glad you can leave voice messages as comments now.
My opinion below:

"NA NA NA NA NA NA NUNCHA" - Caddicarus
I think I _might_ have had this game in my house when I was, like, 4. I remember playing _some_ sort of snowboarding game where you can punch the other boarders.
REVIEW LAIR ON PS3 (IT'S VERY SHIT)
Ah yes, the game that killed Factor 5.
I didn't think it was that bad
Eh-whatever it is can't be as bad as the second Afro Saumrai game on PS4.
The issue with Lair is the controls. Six axis works sometimes, if you have your PS3 positioned well and all that. The major mistake was making it the primary tool you use to control your dragon. Everything else was good with that game. It still looks good and the concept is great. Controls make or break games.
Fistin' Aresholes
Personally I didn't have a problem with the sixaxis controls. The PS3's position has nothing to do with it.
awwww I really liked this game, spent a lot of my childhood playing it
Three words , one platform
Lego. Rock. Raiders . PC
Plz do it , I'll tickle your pickle
JANANIMATIONS MADE THE CADDICARUS LOGO??
How did I not know this until just now?
Just watching this gameplay is stressful.
Good to see Jans still going. I remember watching his first videos.
Man that was some years ago....time flies.
Whatever you do, do not join the Hidden Block/Normal Boots Amino.
Yeah
Why?
+MST R McMiner There is too much sin.
I know. I was referring to the Amino community centered around Normal Boots and Hidden Block which you can join on the Amino app which Caddy talked about at the beginning of the video.
It's fine, man.
The amount of content Caddy squeezes in every week is nothing short of incredible. Amazing work keep it up!
You ever planning on doing Gran Turismo?
I would fucking LOVE THAT!!!
yeah forreal
THAT WOULD BE BEAUTIFUL LIKE DADDY CADDY
Yet another game to add to my "Caddicarus Has Played This" list on Amazon. Great video, Caddy!
cool boarders 2 was so so so much better. it was the first video game i got into with my dad, so many hours spent on that game
I actually loved this game! It was probably because it was the first PS1 game I ever played along with Crash!
Ice cream is cooler than this, cool thing.
And I'd make my own video game suggestions for you but they aren't nearly as cool as this, we cool? Cool.
After SSX3, no one ever has to try making another snowboarding game again. The art has been perfected.
That is the coolest fucking PS1 I've ever seen.
that ps1 is almost as beautiful as Dwuang.
+Red Hood what a beautiful duwang it is
+Red Hood Get a feeling so complicated
Pierce Timko I feel you,i feel you deeply, your feelings,i can feel deeply.
Red Hood What in face are you?
I've been waiting all day for this video
I played the original cool boarder on ps1... I sucked
3rd
This was one of the games we played during my after school program next to Spyro and Crash Bandicoot 3.
Caddy you should do a ape escape retrospective there a idea
He doesnt do them anymore
Oliver Grizwald why
Because he prefers to make 10 minute videos about games no one cares about.
I can't tell if Caddy is really good at faking a black eye or if he really did walk into the door.
You know you're British, when you have a tea cup collection 1:22
Today's my birthday caddy
JDE STUDIOS. Well, then, happy freaking birthday to you!
I also like in the intro how in The Bare Necessities, Caddy runs into the door when the line "forget about your worry and your strife" was about to play
He referenced destruction derby 2 :DD
Dude I can't believe how hard you found this!!! I'm busting combos like Shaun White on this thing
once you got the swing of this game you could do some pretty cool stuff in it. CB2 and 4 were better tho
This game is super satisfying when you're good at it
You should totally make a video for Okami. :D
Pure (2008) was a game that mixed racing and tricks very well. Heck, despite being a bit limited compared to other racing games it was fucking awesome
I'd like to see a review of Tomorrow Never Dies for the PS1. I played it as a very little kid and never got past the first level, but have heard it isn't a very good game to begin with.
It's better than The World Is Not Enough.
Menko Monty Yeah I think I did something similar until I got bored and started exploring.
+JackIntheBoxGaming I quite like the world is not enough but can't see to get past the snow section
I Can tell this was a long time ago. His review tries to dig to much bs
Last time I was this early, I wasn't.
aka you have never been before
early for a youtube video
I remember when Amino used to be good
do a review of jade coccon
Nice to see Jan is still doing his stuff :)
Amino sucks. Simple as that.
and the Pixel Empire
Whatever supports our RUclipsrs to keep making contect.
Old Amino was good. But yeah, the new one is pretty meh. I prefered it better when everyone couldn't just create a community that died the next day.
*****
Ask Caddie, I don't know.
It sounds like a worse version of Reddit.
They are quite different, so don't think of CB3 as an upgrade from CB2 or something like that
Don’t think I ever played Cool Boarders 3, but based on Cool Boarders 4, what you said about Cool Boarders 3 sounds right
I get way too happy whenever a new video is uploaded X3
Oh hey, I'm featured in the video :P
As usual, cool review from Cadd
You know what was a fun snowboarding game I played growing up?? 1080 Snowboarding for the N64. Played that and Tony Hawk all day.
1:20 Sick trick brah, totally gnarly dude.
For me, the SSX games on PS2, especially SSX On Tour, were the best snowboarding games were my favourite. I know Caddy mentioned Tricky, but SSX 3 and On Tour were my favourites by far.
Hey Caddy, I can't find the link to Jan's channel in the description. Just letting you know!
If I know Caddy and I do he will love the FMV in Speed Freaks.
Considering I never even heard of this game, I am surprised anyone would try to defend it so hard. Slaughter away Caddy
Oh, cool. JanAnimations made the new logo? That's really neat. Great video too, Caddy.
I would say that loved this game but tbh I played it for five mins and forgot what it was. It literally just sat on some shelf in the basement for the past 11 years. Also, SSX is the only snowboarding game that the world needs.
I left a flash game in the background by mistake and there was REALLY epic music on when Caddy was asking for something cold.
8:35
mmmm, thanks for the overused tropes caddy
AgahnimDarkWizard well people do think fondly of this game (I’m not sure why) so I can understand why might feel that way
I played a demo of this game on my channel (and yes it is that bad). It's "Toys R Us: Attack of the Killer Demos Part 3", if anyone is interested (be warned it's an old video, so it's not my best work).
Leader of Dark Souls amino here, thanks for promoting!
Took all three kids in my family with a seven year difference to unlock the whole game and we were pretty disappointed at the end of it too. (we also didn't really know cheat codes were a thing so... there's that) Glad we're not alone!!
best thing about sunday is another caddy upload
never played the cool boarders series, but always heard good things about this game. glad to see your review of it :)
He really went full Egoraptor on this one.
"I'm not good at the tricks, that makes them stupid and dumb"
I hate the argument "the game is not bad,git gud". glitches and bad graphics are not the only flaws a game can have, bad design choices do not equal difficulty. Games like dark souls' avoid the criticisms of bad design by building the game AROUND THE level design. Also he's played harder games than this so your argument is invalid.

That's why I miss JonTron, he challenged Erin's opinions and didn't nitpick on the simplest things. Well that and he was funny.
Spanky Pants I was talking about caddy. And you didn't disprove my point at all.
+Spanky Pants who's Erin. Do you mean Arin?
.... Seeing this, will you please do ATV Offroad Fury?
The second one was the best IMO, but yes, we really need an ATV OF review
+Cheeseburger Freedom Man I still listen to Pick Up The Pieces to this day.
I loved the 4th one
I hope you'll talk about Ape Escape one day. Loved that game when I was little and I've found hardly any people at all talking about it. It deserves way more recognition than it's getting.
Where's the link to Jan? I looked through the description of the video, but I didn't see it there.
it's in the video you click on the animation on the left
+Rayshio Tile This is true, but Caddy DID say in the video that the link would be in the description, so... that's a little misleading. I'm sure he just forgot, but, y'know. Oops.
Next week, Caddicarus is gonna wish me a happy fricking birthday :D
Jesus, Caddy! 47 seconds of sponsors! That's a sin!
Also, CB3 is good.
