I remember a particularly hilarious glitch I found that I found when using the spear on zarok. I was on my last life bar and with one last ditch effort threw my last spear killing zarok but he also killed me so throughout that ending cutscene I witnessed it with Dan on the floor dead

Medievil is a grandpa of Dark souls.Think about it

-tone of weapons
-you are cursed undead
-twisted enemies
-ant nest = blighttown
-horrible platforming moments
-life potion - estus flask
And you slay enemies to gather souls.
And there's a crystal cave with a dragon in it. A friggin' swamp level. New Londo. And Bloodborne is Medievil 2!

***** Anor Londo is the only other area that matches its difficulty and that is only in a few parts like Walking across the tiny platforms as the Silver Knights shot at you
I am so depressed this game ONLY got a sequel. And its not even on the playstation store. I fucking love this franchise but it was so short lived :(
It also got a remake on PSP, but we don't talk about that...
the psp version was what introduced me to medievel lol

Sequels often ruin franchises, do you really want to see this die a slow Spyro death and have its dead body paraded around as a Skylander?

With the large amount of video game movies being created, I would actually really like to see an animated Medievil movie. Seriously, it has the perfect characters, plot, and setting for a dark comedy.

Ditto. I still feel the chills whenever the Hilltop Mausoleum's theme plays or while running away from those crazed villagers (for example). Hell, I daresay this game's zombie grunts > Resident Evil's zombie grunts.

I just finished this game 3 days ago. One of the best games I've ever played on the PS1, despite the graphics looking dated. But hey, who gives a fuck about graphics these days? All about the gameplay for myself personally.

Thank you for doing this series. Games Like Abes Exodus and Medievil are classic titles and it's good to see they're getting the recognition they deserve.
I just want to thank you so much for reviewing this game! It's a huge part of my childhood and still have it til today. Also for all the other games for ps1 especially klonoa and tombi! which in my opinion are underrated games

Played a tiny bit of the MediEvil remake on my brother's PS4 as a headstart for my experience with the DMC series. It was halfway through October of 2021, and when my mom helped me purchase the HD Collection bundled with DMC4 Special Edition via Halloween sale on the PlayStation Store, it was perfect timing once I noticed months later when Devil May Cry around that time turned 20, so congrats. My patience for getting DMC5 Special Edition on PC is inevitable.
It was worth the purchase and first playthrough of the aforentioned. The party got really crazy afterward!

From 10:41 to 10:58, you weren’t kidding about the relation to the Beetlejuice soundtrack; this one track alone sounds like the 2nd half of The Incantation, which you can hear when Otho & the others were summoning Adam & Barbara. Gotta say, it was pretty clever AND pretty creative.

I like that game too and Freddie Fortesque was the thing that caught my attention to the game in the first place. Extra credit for Rob Paulsen's and Michael Gambon's performances and the fake ending.
Medievil is Back Baby
I remember playing MediEvil alot. It was the first video game I ever played. My favorite levels were the graveyard ,crystal caves and the Gallows Gauntlet. Seeing Caddi play this bring's back memories.
This is your best episode and about the best game. I don't even know how many times I've already rewatched this
this was and still is the best game I have played in my life and no game will ever be able to top it.

I recall this game as THE first Ps1 game I got to watch my father play, before my brother and I took over and lost all the lives and had to fiddle about the same area for 2 hours because a) we could not read and b) even if we could, all the writing is in an entirely different language than our own. Nevertheless, this game FRAGGIN' ROCKS! it was awesome and it is still awesome and I love it to bits, especially the music (and the now added nostalgia due to time always running everywhere). I can also say that this game might have had the biggest impact on how and what i ended up liking later in life, and why i don't find it odd to have a wooden coffin as a kitchen cupboard. Your comments are funny, despite calling Sir Daniel demented, I could not help but chuckle all the way through. This video brightened my day, despite the setting being so dark, Thank You.
The thing is. Dan wasn't a coward. He was a brave person that liked telling stories of fake adventures. Which is what got him in the front lines of the battle. Normally when you have a character that tells tall tales, they are normally a coward in reality. Not Dan. fate when he was alive just wasn't kind. I would like to think he would have done all those things in the battle, but the first arrow got him.

God this video was hilarious. I played ressurection on the PSP and knew it was a remake of the original but I had never seen it until now and seeing the FMV's and Zarok The Xylophone at the end made me lose my shit. What a game 10/10 i hope this series gets a revival.
