Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back (also known as Bubsy PS4 or Bubsy 4 [even though I guess it should technically be Bubsy 5 but now we're going deeper than Bubsy deserves]) is a 2017 revival of one of the most annoying and worst mascot platformer characters in history. Nobody liked Bubsy that much to begin with, especially after Bubsy 3D on the PS1 - and nowadays, because of memes, he's back in a new sidescroller on PS4 and PC. Not Xbox One, though. They got lucky. Gameplay here was recorded in 1080p, 60fps via NVidia Shadowplay. Not that it deserves it. He deserves nothing.

I had a lovely chat with the game's composer. Mostly because the music was arguably the best aspect of the game. I asked "Bubsy, why do you gotta have such catchy tunes?" And the composer was like "Why not?"
What could possibly go wrong? I'd say accidentally sending £15 to your landlord. That could go wrong.

Okay Caddy so the wool is spun from the golden fleece, a legendary artefact of Greek Mythology from a flying ram sent by Zeus to save a couple of his bastard children or some shit. But for the record, gold is not stiff. At room temperature, it is incredibly malleable - to the point that large quantities of pure gold can easily deform under their own weight.
Look at it this way , if characters like Bubsy can come back from the dead after so many years without a game,it does give hope that characters like Earthworm Jim ,Gex, and Croc can come back as well , so that's a definite positive.

I think the disappearing yarn is on your end. I've seen several other RUclipsr's video on this game like Johnny's review of it and Nitro Rad's review of it, and none of them had this problem. I think something's up with your computer.

i looked up gameplay of the pc version and it didn't happen so i think it's a glitch on caddys end
The big issues with PC is that they are all build differently and the programmers cannot check on every hardware combination. Caddy just has bad luck that his setup was not tested enough.

The Golden Fleece is a reference to classical mythology. Whatever the Golden Fleece of myth was used for, maybe that's what Bubsy used/wanted to use it for. (shrug)

Did you know? This Game was created in the same engine and reuses some animations and assets from Black Forest Games previous plattformer Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams. Giana Sisters is actually pretty amazing and a perfect callback to Amiga plattformers. So how they ended up making this paw-fect mess is something I will never understand.

I'm the composer of Bubsy The Woolies Strike Back and I worked hard on the soundtrack to make it sound good. The game itself isn't half as bad as some people make it look like.
