In this video we will discuss about the Typhoid, which is a bacterial infection caused by the Salmonella typhi bacterium. When a person consumes food or water contaminated with Salmonella typhi bacterium, the bacterium enters their bloodstream through the digestive system and infects their body.
Salmonella typhi is a bacterium that belongs to the family Enterobacteriaceae. It is a gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium that measures about 2-5 µm in length and 0.5-1.0 µm in diameter.
The bacterium is able to colonize the intestinal tract and penetrate the intestinal mucosa, where it enters the bloodstream and disseminates throughout the body.
