I see typhoid cases every day.. here in South sudan, we use Widal test... and widal tend to be positive whenever blood smear for malaria parasite is ++ and after treating malaria alone, the widal results changes to negative and the patient improves.... Please can you help me clarify.. or try finding out? Thank you for your endless education

We used BUS mnemonic in med school , B- Blood (first week of infection) U -Urine (2nd week ) S-Stool (3rd week )

with the maximum dose of 1000 mg per day in Azithromycin.. there is correction at 9min 30sec
You have not talked about Typhi dot IgM test , which is superior to Widal test
Respected sir if patient is already taking antibiotics then when we send blood culture for typhoid
Dr. Raj Kumar, you may stop antibiotics and wait for 72 hours then take blood culture and restart antibiotics after taking blood.
