@@mariahpotter1566 It's pretty much same thing but maybe different school have it named differently and maybe a little difference in curriculum. And I wold assume hospital administration would be mainly geared towards hospital whereas healthcare admin is more broad scope
The easiest route to get into insurance would be to start out gaining experience as an agent or even taking on a volunteer role in a health insurance firm while you're working on your healthcare administration degree. That way, when you're ready to move forward in your career, you already know the in and outs of the industry.

I work in revenue management and have a healthcare administration degree. Definetly will not work managing a facility, way too stressful and my mental health comes first but you can do many many things with this degree ❤ I work from home but you can also work at an office/hospital etc

I initially went to school for nursing and then I realized it was not for me I also tried respiratory therapist and I absolutely hated it I don’t like touching people I don’t like dealing with people’s body fluids or mucus so I’ve been looking into health administration because I still want to work in the health care field just not with patients directly. I also like dealing with money and budgets that kind of stuff is exciting to me and I like working with top people I’m not shy I speak my mind and I also like meeting new people all the time. I’m a people person
Not that bad, just everyone will be counting on you. That’s about it lol It’s a great degree I’m beyond happy. I graduate with my Master of Science in Healthcare Administration this Fall 2021. Like she said there are many aspects and branches you can take this degree and apply it towards. Healthcare is a bundle of jackpots due to the high demand. So as administrators we supply, and that’s usually how the cookie crumbles. You can approach and run multiple clinics to even a well established Hospital with an organized clinical staff already set.
I like to be in a setting where I clinically provide services with my future degree in beam to scare Administration. Would that be possible to work in a setting like that or no ?

Typically, I find that there are certain career paths in government organizations that may require this, but the job description will let you know what is actually required for that particular job. I would start researching career paths that you may want to consider now so that you can plan out your stepping stones. I, personally, have never worked in an organization where I need an exam or specific certification. It's not very common. Most organizations will want to see how you can be an asset for them and you can demonstrate this through your education, experience, and positive attitude.
As an MD, what are your goals? Do you long term goals that have to do with becoming an executive? You may want to consider an MHA depending on where you plan to take your career. Keep in mind, that if you were to venture off and start your own practice, you wouldn’t “need” it, but it looks good in front of investors.
