This is a beautiful piece of old film. I'm sort of shocked at the excessive pageantry the British used in India. I watched some film of the Viceroys. Not sure what the Brits were thinking. This is bound upset the very proud Indians and form nation consciousness. Must say i learned a lot by watching this film. I might add that in my mind, the qualities of India come right out this film. I think better of India, and less of the Brits by watching this film.
well.. you've barely scratched the surface , these are just the ending days of the British Empire in India , the previous 200 years of rule before that time were much much much more traumatising.
