Does anyone actually believe that either Gaza or Israel care what the English parliament thinks?
British Parliament *
What's Paul Gascoigne got to do with this?
Gazza's probably gone fishing and the English don't have a parliament.
@kevinnewell8551 The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a country. England is not a country; it used to be.
@@jrobs1133Wales, N.Ireland and Scotland have their own assembly independent of UK government to address their country's issues and have devolved powers, but England does not. Now I happen to think a parliament for England alone would be pretty much the same as UK one since majority of MPs are English, but it's the principle. How can it be fair that the other 3 countries - that have a combined population of around one tenth of England's - get devolved governments? Also; England IS a country in every sense of the word. Just as much as the other 3 are.
If only they cared so passionately about our own people.
So true
Parliament destroyed by tiny minorities who should not be here
They can care passionately about their own n people and also about the genocide in Gaza.
True
Go back and look at how full the parliament was during the mi grat ion debate and the gro oming debate then look at this one, it's clear were the loyalties lay.
A 100% waste of time, whatever the UK Parliament thinks will make no difference whatsoever
100% correct... same goes for the UN...
You mean that no matter what the population thinks the politicians have and continue to ignore the wishes of the electorate.
Gotta get those votes
Actually it does matter, I don’t want my country to be complicit in this horror show
@@davidcoolomfg8129 it only matters to the Antisemites on the left, i presume you are one. Normal people care about this country and all its failings, tax, NHS, immigration, etc, but hey to some hating Jewish people is more important, you and people like you sicken me
We dont need 650 mps and 800 plus members of the lords. Costing the tax payer a fortune in salaries and pensions.
Indeed.
Imagine if taxpayers themselves got to directly allocate funding to what they thought mattered, choosing which projects to personally help to crowdfund and which causes to support via voluntary donations instead of income tax confiscations that get spent on white elephants and tax-laundering schemes, and almost anything except what gets promised at election time.
It certainly won’t be spent on subsidising mp and lords food and accommodation for a few hours work then massive payouts when they’re forcibly removed from office for being corrupt ….. I could go on!!
What are you saying, though? That we have less people making more decisions?
@@Simulacrum84 they spend more time discussing what they’re going to have for lunch and who is going to bring what biscuits to the next meeting. They take a ridiculous amount of time coming to decisions when it comes to us and is in our favour, then totally ride roughshod over us when they want to pass something unpopular, but take very quick votes when they vote themselves pay rises!
If anyone in the UK is serious about trying to preserve any semblance of its democratic and lawful society, it's time to do so. The UK is officially off the rails.
we have mob rule
Broken Westminster and broken GB
Especially when you omit Northern Ireland.
Why is Gazza even being discussed in the House of Commons it makes no difference to Britain either way.
Pantomime for the sheep. Distraction from what's really going on.
if u really think that what happens elsewhere in the world has no effect on us then u are either an idiot or ... idk ... an idiot
Because generally speaking, if a government helps/supports another government that is found to commit a war crime, the supporting government is usually also guilty of said genocide.
The UK is giving support to Israel at a time when Israel has been accused with significant evidence of crimes against humanity. That requires a debate and vote in the government.
I understand you. Thanks for explaining.
@@mitchverr9330
Israel won't give two hoots what the UK thinks.its their fight and none of our business.
The snp is rum by a hamas supporter
London is also run by a Hamas supporter :
Lee Anderson is completely correct.
I wish they'd shown this passion, or even interest when debating the serious matter of vaccine injured citizens.
If only they got this animated about something the public actually cared about: immigration.
People are dying on waiting list for nhs. Gaza is a low priority. Get back to focus on uk
😂😂 why are they voting on something they have zero control over, what a bunch of jokers MP’s are 🤦♂️
Virtue signallling for their dual passport-holding constituents
How much has this FOREIGN "disagreement" cost us today?? DEAL WITH HOME ISSUES.
The whole night was a total joke! The farce of a debate and it’s subsequent chaos places Parliament in total disrepute.
Nobody outside the House gives a stuff about this debate.
Distraction from the Assange hearing
Moog is a joke , poor chap must have his head jammed up his own jackpot.
Hamas is a product of the Israeli state’s actions.
I’m English but would vote SNP , they are the only party in parliament that represents the people.
@@jameshodgkins559You need serious help
I literally couldn't care less about the Israel Gaza situation. When will our government put Britain first!
forget gaza. this is about one individual ignoring the will of parliament. far more concerning for the uk
Tbf I didn't realise before but it has fairly severe ramifications. The UK is currently supporting Israel that is currently being investigated for serious crimes against humanity. If Israel is found guilty the UK would also be guilty due to this support. Hence the seriousness of the situation.
@@scl9671 can be found guilty of whatever you like. no one gets held to account so who cares. israel won’t so the west certainly won’t. Members of parliament being railroaded by the speaker is of far more importance to the UK than anything else. there’s only 2 reason why he allowed all amendments from the 3 parties. 1) he was genuinely concerned for MPs safety so bent the knee to extremist and they got their way or 2) he was talked into it by starmer so as to not split his vote and create yet more division within the party. either way he should go. not good enough.
This is totally shameful from all parliamentarians. I never knew our politician could and continue to ruin the prosperity of the UK.
Shame you dont find it just as discraseful when mps regularly ignore the people they are supposed to represent
Why don't you lot respond as hard about our own internal issues and crisis's? Get on with governing Britain - that is what you all get paid for.
Where was the MP'S on Andrew Bridgens debate on the coronavirus vaccine disgrace.
By the way, who voted for sunak as prime minister, hunt as chancellor and Cameron? Democracy my arse.
Who voted for Churchill as Prime Minister in 1940?
@@andrewoliver8930 completely different situation so your comparison is worthless . At the end of the day our country is being run into the ground by decisions made by these three politicians that NO ONE voted for , Cameron doesn't even represent a constituency.
Uk is not united annymore
Polarised is an understatement.
The politics of division since 2016 has most certainly taken its toll.
Can debate on UK issues start please?
About time you debate on uk issuess rather than foreign countries
Well said Jacob, you are a very intelligent man. Jacob for PM ! No ceasefire until hostages are released! 🇬🇧
They spent all this time arguing abot GAZA & yet whatever the outcome of the vote it will change absolutely nothing in GAZA.
The Labour Party are desperately worried about losing the Muslim vote hence their efforts to promote a ceasefire in Gaza. Sadly, whatever any British politician says or does is unlikely to affect what happens in the region.
I would love to them get so passionate about the native British people

Not ONE MP is fit to serve their constituents. RESIGN, RESIGN, RESIGN!🐒🤨👎🤬
Except Andrew Bridgen
When do we get a vote regarding the disgraceful price of Fish in Bolivia? Frankly, I'm outraged.
Correct.
The half wits in these "Parliaments" are showing themselves to be thoroughly dishonest cowards and not to stand up for the real People of Britian because more than half of them are infested by the zombie virus called wokism and a large number of them are Hamas supporters themselves, because they are cut from the same cloth.
Anyone feel like they deserve a refund?
Watching our nation topple in real time
This is not our business to even advise how another country should be governed. It would seem that the whole business is a complete waste of government time. We are of course all concerned with the Hamas statements on casualty numbers, and look forward to the end of conflict, after Hamas can no longer threaten and perpetrate their evil deeds.
Flynn's idea , make SMP look good on World stage, instead of the bunch of incompetents they usually are.
Why on earth is this discussion going on in our country.
The Speaker and the Deputy Speaker have to go.
I guess Rees Mogg doesn't realise that Parliament was discredited DECADES ago.

Putin is watching this and laughing at the state of UK politicians god help us!!
Putin would laugh at the USA as well.
Most of the electorate have absolutely no idea what you lot are doing. Democracy is dependent on the public engaging with the politicians. You are rapidly losing the support of the public. None of this Gaza uproar has any impact on most of us. The people you have imported care but the majority of us couldn’t care a hoot. Serve your constituents
Why is the SNP not voting on the many more unlawful deaths occurring in the UK over the past 4 years?
What vote was that.
Simply because it was not on the order paper
We talking about the knife crime in London or the shocking drug deaths in Scotland? Or are we actually talking about what the discussion was about
Why ain’t they asking for the children that are hostages to be freed?
Did you not read the motions?
The quality ,intelligence, and professionalism of our MPS has really hit the lowest of the lows nowadays
They are not worth voting in
This Deputy has been taking lessons from John Bercow! I am furious that this never came to a democratic vote.
Parliament became discredited years ago, by almost every MP that stepped into the building and took their seat, they have ignored the will of the people, they have worked against the very people that elected them, last night was simply one more shameful episode in a very long line.
Like almost every other institution you have lost the trust of the electorate, we can no longer trust or rely on Gov, local Gov, the Police, the NHS, our GP's, last night was a starting pistol being fired on what could be tge worst civil unrest thus Country has seen
For the British parliament to vote on something they have no say on, is ludicrous. They may as well vote on who they think should be president of the moon.
It's been stewing in me for a while but tonight it has to be said, I am now ashamed to be British.
You should be proud to be British with British values. We must continue to keep those values and not allow the minority to change us or force their misguided views into our lives. I lived in Luton and there are some amazing Muslims there who do not want this conflict. no way would they be part of these demonstrations.
Why?
Be ashamed of the government. Never be ashamed to be British.
Please don't be ashamed of your Nationality, your people are not to blame for a Government gone Rogue , I am Irish & we have same issue here but my Son & I have been fortunate enough to be able to rise above it because we spent 20 years spilt between London's East End & Salford Manchester, we often speak of how it thought us resilience & life understanding, Your People hold a big place in our hearts, Be proud of Yourself & see those dim wits in the Gov for who they are. Leave them at it & be kind to you & yours .
@@rozdoyle8872Well said! Kind and wise words.
Who would have guessed a vote in the commons which could have ramifications on some Labour MP’s would be fudged by the Speaker under pressure by Starmer. The Muslim influence on Labour MP’s is beginning to affect the very core of our democracy. We should all think about what happened last night and be very very aware!
Was Rees Mogg present when Andrew Bridgen was presenting his recent speeches in the Commons? Nuff said.
JRM needs to remind parliament that Brexit = Brexit freedoms & opportunities......
Rees-Mogg tearing into May’s withdrawal agreement as the ultimate betrayal, not Brexit, then voting for it at the third time of asking, showed that he can’t be taken seriously. He’s one of the biggest jokes and wimps in the Commons from any party.
@@Gizo02 For sure, but he has made it a few more quid out of the dream, he's a paid presenter on this channel.....
The Speaker must be independent, free from corruption!!! Parliament look at yourself as you impose this crap on us !!
Maybe Sadiq Khan can take over aa speaker.
Disgraceful
Speaker is Labour, deputy speaker is Labour they’d been given the hairdryer treatment and blackmailed by Labour leadership to protect Labour.
How any one can vote at the next election is beyond me
You have to vote to get these scum bags out and I’m talking about Labour and Conservative. Vote Reform.
If only that many turned up to debate vaccine injuries.
If Parliament are shown to be in such disrepute then it should be closed for a month and their salaries halved as they are not in attendance. Should L-Hoyle consider his massive contribution to this chaos and offer his resignation? Shame on you all... people's lives are in peril.
Well Jacob, all of you lot (tory, labour, liberal, snp et al) have totally undermined many of us and our traditions and culture outside of westminster, so forgive if many of us see this as pantomime and crocodile tears from a load of self interested school kids. But, go on, you all huff and puff whilst we pay the bill.
Why do people think a vote in parliament will affect what Israel does?
Is there any chance that you could make a decision on stopping the mobs in London and extremely poor policing, rather than where you have absolutely no influence on Israel’s matters?
Bread & Circuses
👏🏼🤡🌍
Stop this it's treason.
Maybe voting verbally isn't the best way to count votes
Every single one of you in that house are completely incompetent. All existing parties need to be completely dismantled and banned and new parties need to be formed based on policy, not legacy votes. Every member should have to wear sponsorship showing who has been paying them.
The civil service and HOL need completely emptied too. This governing class are completely out of control.
Boris Johnston discredited Parliament on many occasions.
Her apology should come next…I don’t agree with the SNP on much of anything…but they were certainly deprived of their “Opposition Day” improperly…and it was right for the Conservative Party to stand with them in their condemnation of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker’s actions.
This just shows the British people what's wrong with parliament. all this because of labour wanted their amendment to go through to get the Muslim vote at the GE. its sickening. the Labour whips told the leader to accept labours amendment or he loose his job after the GE. and that came from a labour MP talking to the BBC. seriously labour cannot be trusted in parliament and in government.
I will quote Jacob R-M and say there is so little point in our parliament debating serious matters. Not because there is no point in debating but because our parliament is so ill, so diseased, and soo riddled with leaches that parliament no longer is there to serve the nation but purely to pursue individual egoistical matters.
We need to focus on domestic issues in our own country. not try and interfere in over seas issues that are out of our control.
What a bloody rabble pity they don't care about the indigenous......
Parliament has become a childrens playground.

Just watched it. What a bunch of absolute incompetents we have running this country. A total embarrassment .
The speaker definitely dropped a bollock on this one.
Pathetic like kids in a playground not a leader among them
Parliament is already discredited. They all did it to themselves.
Was this done to prevent the Labour party disintergrating? If so why?
Because they are disintegrating
In order to correct votes shouldn’t they have buttons to vote. I can shout loud but that doesn’t mean I win over others who are mute.
Oliver Cromwell called them "scum" and kicked them out. Lord Protector 2, "Come on DOWN."

Why no vote for a ceasefire in Ukraine ? Follow the money trail no profit in gaza or land grab
Jacob Rees Mogg is the only person who could possibly turn it around for the Conservatives now. But it would be imperative for him to have a free hand to do so.
The 22 Committee should be called into action immediately.
But it can only act if you get those Letters in urgently.
It’s either that, or be thrown out by the dozen.
Just amazing that an Mp can jump on the television and report on himself. wtf is this
Thank God for people like you in Parliament Mr Rees-Mogg!
Jesus christ... how thick are you? This man sold you down a river with brexit and lied to the queen to do it, and you think he cares about parliament? He likes sitting in front of a tv screen and lecturing to you like he's an authority on procedure as though it's the 18th century.
Which one?
Jacob i think you are the only one who understands the rules of the commons, deputy speaker does not appear to know them
If MPs had stopped acting like they were having a bun fight at Eton then maybe the Deputy Speaker would have been able to distinguish what was said. It’s Rees Mogg that won’t allow MPs to have buttons to press which show how each MP votes which would have been instant and stop all the time wasted walking through various lobby’s. The time wasted when using the present archaic system is enormous.
It’s terrible what is happening in Gaza, what we think is going to make no difference what so ever.
We need more like you Jacob . True Conservatives with true fundamental conservatism in the party , which has been sadly lacking for years . Well said once more Jacob 👍💙🏴🇬🇧
Jacob, I believe you're missing the point. The MP's are not losing the confidence in the speaker, they've already lost the confidence of the people.

They are like school kids. Didn't Boris Johnson prog parliament.
The insane irony is that Jacob Rees-Mogg totally supported the attempt to prorogue the Parliament in 2019. He also considered himself so privileged that he pretended to be asleep on the benches during another debate for a photo opportunity. Just two ways that he himself discredited Parliament.
