  • What's up guys! Today's video is the youth athlete gym training progression we use and the most important strength exercises for youth athletes. We train a lot of youth athletes under the age of 13, and for those young athletes, lifting weights is not always the most beneficial. We share with you the biggest things we need to focus on with young athletes and how we structure our training programs to build a great athlete at a young age. It's very important to have athletes of all ages in the gym training, but that doesn't mean lifting weights!     Do you do anything similar for older athletes (65plus)?

      We usually follow similar progressions, but with athletes who aren't as young, we can progress usually quicker because a lot of youth athletes we just have to teach basic body control and movement patterns. So it's similar but usually with more advanced progressions!
