I have this stage 2 kit installed in my 2018 wrx from a previous owner. Hey Ian, got a question....just got the stage 1 ots map from you guys yesterday! I love it over cobbs stage 1. I was wondering is it safe to run the Cobb big sf cold air with this tune?
No, the AP does NOT "Void" the warranty. The Stage 2 does NOT "Void" the warranty. What it DOES do it makes is easy for your dealer to deny a claim. But they have to prove the fault was caused by your mod.
^^Been through this process with my old car. You will rarely, if ever win that argument. They can easily say "The car is modified for higher performance, and was driven as such." Therefore no warranty claim. It can be done, but its highly unlikely that you would win a warranty claim with anything modified beyond a catback exhaust and maybe an intake. Accessport probably not
Have you ever heard of small claims court? It doesn't matter how big a company is, you can always take them to small claims and make them PROVE you caused the problem. I know people always say "they're a big company so they have more attorneys" but that doesn't matter because in small claims both parties are heard by a judge only. There's no "legal team" needed, and if they can not PROVE that you caused the problem then a judge will usually rule in your favor. It's that simple. Most people are too lazy to even try. I believe a few legal fees are cheaper than a $10k repair bill, but that's just me.
@maperformance does doing a tune/accessport get rid of the terrible rev hang these cars have? I almost hate driving my 2017 but maybe a few mods will help me start to like the car a little.
It says that the tune is included, but this made me ask, do you need to purchase an Access Port separately or is it included in the package with the tune?
The Accessport is an optional add on for the kit, the Stage 2 tune is free. So, if you have an AP already then you are set. Hopefully this answers your question!
i currently have the maperformance stage 1 ots and wish to get your stage 2 map. i read that the mishimoto intake will work, but im not fond of it after reading the reviews. will the stage 2 maperformance ots work with grimmspeed? i really hope it does. #becauseracecar or will maperformance have a box for your intake to have better hold on the snorkel? im really satisfied with the stage 1 and am looking forward to stage 2 since the horsepower gain has been my goal in which why i bought the wrx. thank you ian
Our Stage 2 only works with the MAPerformance intake - which does come with a heat shield now! Thanks for the questions, feel free to call Ian at ext 111!
If I got the full Stage 2 package does it make sense to also get the $200 E-Pro-Tune on top of that? What kind of gains over the 320whp/341wtq are normally seen with the Pro-Tune? 320whp is pretty impressive already with just these parts, I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $200 for the pro-tune.
+thelegendbullet937 You would only see a few whp gains over that, we typically reserve the Pro-Tune for those building custom set ups that might include parts from different vendors or who are trying to squeeze out all the power they can! You will be very happy with the Stage 2 and the tune that it comes with!
+thelegendbullet937 The Stage 2 kit includes a full exhaust, since we last talked we are unfortunately no longer offering the Pro Tunes. Just the OTS E-Tune that comes with the kit. Please give us a call if you have any further questions, Ian can certainly help you out.

I like this sound bro! Is there an exsaust I could get that is a hair louder than stock ones but also slightly increases the noise of the air intakes for my 2019 STI? thanks in advance!
Just wondering if we have Invidia n1 dual exhaust and Invidia catless j pipe and Cobb accessport will this tune still give similar or at least close numbers?
dimaev Our Stage 2 kit will void your warranty, yes. However, it will not hurt your engine! If you are worried about overheating we recommend upgrading the intercooler to keep safe.
I'm really thinking about getting the stage 2 kit but do you guys have any idea of engine reliability or how well the transmission will handle these numbers?
Do you guys still have the package were I can buy the accessport and air intake with a tune from you guys? I'm really looking into going stage 1 with you guys

I've owned a Focus ST and they also had stages.
Is this test car running a MAP cattless J pipe, or the catted one?
If the Stage 2 modification is done to a new Sti, would the warranty be void?
Stage 1 will void it
Does your Stage 2 tune deal with the rev hang at all?
So does this tune include the Access port? You might have answered it but didn’t catch it lol
Give us a call! The tune itself is included with kit purchase.
@maperformance does doing a tune/accessport get rid of the terrible rev hang these cars have? I almost hate driving my 2017 but maybe a few mods will help me start to like the car a little.
Yes, our tunes help with rev hang!
Will this package make more power on e85
It says that the tune is included, but this made me ask, do you need to purchase an Access Port separately or is it included in the package with the tune?
The Accessport is an optional add on for the kit, the Stage 2 tune is free. So, if you have an AP already then you are set. Hopefully this answers your question!
Hello, I want this exact setup. Is this resonated down pipe, and with MAP mufflers or with muffler deletes.
Resonated with mufflers, give us a call!
If I went stage 1 or 1+ tune and took it in for a service under warranty, would Subaru give me the service?
I’m just to laugh to laugh that nobody answered your question 🤣
i currently have the maperformance stage 1 ots and wish to get your stage 2 map. i read that the mishimoto intake will work, but im not fond of it after reading the reviews. will the stage 2 maperformance ots work with grimmspeed? i really hope it does.
My racer girlfriend likes this kit and i think we decided on this combo for her first mod on her 18 wrx 😁😁😁 then e85
is the WRX in this review configured with a cated or catless downpipe?
Catless
If you have a catted dp u cant run stage 2 so ive been taught?? ...???
should do a sound clip of your TBE with muffler delete!
+MAPerformance
Awesome! Thanks for getting back with me on that. Can't wait to go stage 2! :D
+thelegendbullet937
Another question:
Will running the stock mufflers diminish the power at all with this 93 octane stage 2 tune?
+thelegendbullet937 The Stage 2 kit includes a full exhaust, since we last talked we are unfortunately no longer offering the Pro Tunes. Just the OTS E-Tune that comes with the kit. Please give us a call if you have any further questions, Ian can certainly help you out.
Will it work with the 2016 cvt wrx?
intake sounds nice , wonder if a hks bov would be TOO much?
Comes down to personal preference at that point. The intake is a great sound!
MAPerformance you guys r great man !! lol fast replys thru email, instagram && youtube 🔥🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hey guys! Can you please tell me why your boost gauge doesn't seem to be in sync with your shifting and reading accurately? Is that because you flashed it?
The boost gauge issues were unrelated to our tune or flash. The car was having issues reading to the stock gauge at the time.
How do I get a good deal on the stage 2 kit for my 2019 STI?
Give us a call at 651-348-8811!
Do you happen to have dump numbers with cats installed? I love in wonderful California so just trying to be as discrete as possible.
We do not have 'official' numbers but you shouldn't lose more than 2-3whp with the catted version.
MAPerformance thank you. And sorry for the bad grammar. iPhone autocorrect smh
Big shout out i ordered a stage 3 comp clutch for my stage 2+ lol bugeye with about 320 awhp 300ftlbs of torque i jave an open source tune in car but also have a brand new cobb v3 amd would like a custom tune on it but local shops dont street tune only dyno @600 an hour......wondering if with parts list you could make a custom tune.. all i know know is my open source is def quiker than stage 2 93 non cali fuel im in ct....
I couldnt belive i ordered on a thursday and my clutch was here at lunch on monday amazing service hope to do alot of work with you in future as im a new youtuber and a diehard subie fan
Thank you! Hopefully you love the Comp Clutch. Unfortunately we do not do custom tuning, just our OTS maps.
Hey man, do you guys have unequal length headers for the 2015/2016 WRX's? I really prefer the subie rumble compared to the higher pitch rev that equal length headers make. I am really considering a newer wrx vs STi but the sound is really different.
+alampandatennisrack We do not, these come factory with twin scroll turbos and going UEL will take that advantage away.
we definitely missed you too lol
Can you run stage 2 and your tune with everything listed except the ss catback exhaust? Isnt that only for the sound, no performance gains correct?
+McLovinPablo Yes that will work just fine, there are some gains to be had: about 10-15whp. But you don't need it!
Can I use the aem intake with the Cobb accesport? I own a 2016 wrx. Thanks
Proba ly stupid question but buying the stage 2 package from cobb the ap is ready to go right it already hase the map for the mods when you get it?
Our tunes will be emailed to you shortly after purchase.
Do you guys do any discount pricing for veterans? Looking to run a stage 2 setup for my 19 wrx just trying to found the best bang for my buck
We do! There is a link on our website to apply for the military discount or just give us a call.
Will this work on the 2017 wrx?? Asking because the Cobb ap is compatible to the 17's
Isn't
Since when 😂😂
I like this sound bro! Is there an exsaust I could get that is a hair louder than stock ones but also slightly increases the noise of the air intakes for my 2019 STI? thanks in advance!
Do you have an aftermarket intake?
Just wondering if we have Invidia n1 dual exhaust and Invidia catless j pipe and Cobb accessport will this tune still give similar or at least close numbers?
Our stage 2 tune is intended for our downpipe only.
when the 2020 stage 2 kits coming out
We should have an eta after Cobb releases the Accessport for 2020.
MAPerformance update on this?
I'm thinking about purchasing one of these kits for my 2015 WRX. Do you guys also recommend installers? I live in Sunrise, Florida.
Unfortunately we do not, it is a fairly easy install process and most performance shops could get this done easily :]
dimaev Our Stage 2 kit will void your warranty, yes. However, it will not hurt your engine! If you are worried about overheating we recommend upgrading the intercooler to keep safe.
can you guys custom make your catback with a resonated in it to quiet it down a tone?
I'm really thinking about getting the stage 2 kit but do you guys have any idea of engine reliability or how well the transmission will handle these numbers?
We have been rocking this kit for around 8k miles and is daily driven! No problems whatsoever!
Do you guys still have the package were I can buy the accessport and air intake with a tune from you guys? I'm really looking into going stage 1 with you guys
We offer a stage 1 with the accessport but that does not include the intake at all. You could certainly add that on to the package if you wanted! We only offer our stage 1 base tune and this stage 2 tune, though.
Hi there. what are the power gains with stage 2 and the 93 octane tune? thanks
