For Australian audiences and other PAL TV Standard Countries this is the easy on the eyes colour video we are familiar with (completely not what the band intended). The video taping of the final video edit was converted from American NTSC to AU/EU PAL Colour TV standard and then played back on NTSC VTR's, this is what creates the green/violet video colour effect in the official U.S. video. What the band or the video technicians didn't realize at the time is that when copies of the final tape were sent to TV Stations for promotion in countries where the TV Standard was PAL the tapes all be it with some frame rate correction (60fps for U.S. vs 50fps for Australia) would play normally without the colour effect as intended.
