    No matter how many guys are coming on you tube talking lessons, coaching etc.. This gentleman is the dictionary and the universe concerning boxing, strategies, workout... No doubt. Always informative, always striving forward, always showing tremendous skill. He's the best in concerning boxing. The numero uno coach... Unbeatable

    Footwork and balance are THE most important thing.
    People spend way too much time trying to hit people. More time on footwork makes you the better boxer for sure.

      True, they're no point of having fast and powerful punches when your opponent is moving. It hard to hit a moving target. "Timing beat speed and precision beat power".

      Even Mike Tyson has some of the most underrated footwork

    This guy can turn a typical office boy to a amateur boxing literary, so hands on. I never really learn anything from looking at champion and professional boxers, there are always hard to copy, but this guy takes you step by step.

    When I exercise I realize how much difficult footwork in boxing can be. It looks easy but it's definitely not.

    Been in combatives training for a while but only just started boxing. Implementing these videos made me realise how important footwork is. Fundementals are everything. Been tricky to start with, but it's so darn rewarding. Thank you for this content

    Hey Man, thanks for the awesome video, the classic Soviet-style/ Russian/east block schools of boxing -that are known for their highly technical boxers use this kind of drill from the very beginning of training, and at the beginning of every training session, short warm-up and then 5 rounds of shadowboxing with this pendulum step, then everything else. A cool way to condition your calves for this work is the "locomotive" drill and jumping on a very thick soft mattress / big tractor tire. I will send you to your email a video with the locomotive drill, and would appreciate it a lot if you could add it to one of your awesome videos ! BT JT, you have inspired me for all my boxing years, even though not many but none the less

    Absolutley amazing drill!! Was watching vids of former k1 kickboxing champ Mike Zambidis warming up doing exactly this before training and have been emulating it myself. Great to see someone break this down fully. Awesome content as usual Jason

      Step in with a 1 - 2 ( piercing the oppo Guard )
      Step out with a left or right hook

    I had an amazing boxing coach growing up, we were always moving while we hit pads, he's move around the entire ring. I'd come forward hitting combos, i'd move back and angle out etc We never just stood in one spot doing pad work

    Thank you. As I get older (50+) I find I can't do as much warm-up conditioning before drilling. If I try, I'm too spent to drill well. This gives me a way to combine drilling and conditioning together.

    Hi Jt im been practice this drill since your upload for a while in a agility ladder (made by me :) ) and it become one of my favorite footwork to practice, i always doing only with the jab but like you say it is a whole new thing practice with the others combinations. One or two rounds i put working and with lateral motion too and have very nice improvements in my speed , stability ! Thanks so much!

    My weaknesses are footwork and balance... Fractured my left (front) ankle last summer and I've been using boxing to condition it. Body weight high mobility sport, boxing is great!
