No matter how many guys are coming on you tube talking lessons, coaching etc.. This gentleman is the dictionary and the universe concerning boxing, strategies, workout... No doubt. Always informative, always striving forward, always showing tremendous skill. He's the best in concerning boxing. The numero uno coach... Unbeatable
Footwork and balance are THE most important thing. People spend way too much time trying to hit people. More time on footwork makes you the better boxer for sure.
True, they're no point of having fast and powerful punches when your opponent is moving. It hard to hit a moving target. "Timing beat speed and precision beat power".
Yes footwork is the most important thing in any sport Watch Kobe or an NFL receiver dom cruz conor McGregor lomachenko Even Mike Tyson has some of the most underrated footwork
How can you not like this video? I used to go to a local gym and paid for membership but didn't get this kind of instruction. Keep em videos coming, coach! Truly helpful.
I’ve incorporated most of your videos to my training especially my shadow boxing. Also been binge watching your videos during all this since im stuck at home. Thanks coach! keep up the good work!
This guy can turn a typical office boy to a amateur boxing literary, so hands on. I never really learn anything from looking at champion and professional boxers, there are always hard to copy, but this guy takes you step by step.
Been in combatives training for a while but only just started boxing. Implementing these videos made me realise how important footwork is. Fundementals are everything. Been tricky to start with, but it's so darn rewarding. Thank you for this content
Hey Man, thanks for the awesome video, the classic Soviet-style/ Russian/east block schools of boxing -that are known for their highly technical boxers use this kind of drill from the very beginning of training, and at the beginning of every training session, short warm-up and then 5 rounds of shadowboxing with this pendulum step, then everything else. A cool way to condition your calves for this work is the "locomotive" drill and jumping on a very thick soft mattress / big tractor tire. I will send you to your email a video with the locomotive drill, and would appreciate it a lot if you could add it to one of your awesome videos ! BT JT, you have inspired me for all my boxing years, even though not many but none the less
This is by far one of the best video out there on the basics of boxing drills for beginners. It is gonna take a lot of time for me to even learn it. Thanks coach!
Absolutley amazing drill!! Was watching vids of former k1 kickboxing champ Mike Zambidis warming up doing exactly this before training and have been emulating it myself. Great to see someone break this down fully. Awesome content as usual Jason
I had an amazing boxing coach growing up, we were always moving while we hit pads, he's move around the entire ring. I'd come forward hitting combos, i'd move back and angle out etc We never just stood in one spot doing pad work
I've been watching this guy for a few years. I've never be en to a gym to box, but my form and technique from this guy makes it look like I have. Thx Coach
just watched this clip. This is also my best footwork and basic bread and butter combination drill. I just love this. You are just awesome bro. Keep up the fantastic work. Ash . Head Trainer at Boxersfitness Academy. London. England.
Thank you so much for the video. My boxing gym doesn’t give me lessons to this level of details-I’ve been able to improve more thanks to your channel. 👍
Thank you. As I get older (50+) I find I can't do as much warm-up conditioning before drilling. If I try, I'm too spent to drill well. This gives me a way to combine drilling and conditioning together.
This right here, is next level stuff... Ironically, boxing is all about the footwork, that's what makes the difference between a pugilist and a beginner. Thanks coach!
Hi Jt im been practice this drill since your upload for a while in a agility ladder (made by me :) ) and it become one of my favorite footwork to practice, i always doing only with the jab but like you say it is a whole new thing practice with the others combinations. One or two rounds i put working and with lateral motion too and have very nice improvements in my speed , stability ! Thanks so much!
My weaknesses are footwork and balance... Fractured my left (front) ankle last summer and I've been using boxing to condition it. Body weight high mobility sport, boxing is great!
This guy is really different than other people. He understands coaching, others just do tutorials.
Agree. The discussion of common mistake and things to be aware of is very helpful.
he's the first youtuber I thanked with money lol! Just amazing coaching and videos.
For real

Si, es el número uno.
I agree this guy is really different than other people. He understands coaching, others just do tutorials.
Tony Jeffries is very good, too.
Footwork and balance are THE most important thing.

What if your left has all the speed and power? Should one consider the southpaw stance or no?

rubb3rduck Hell yea ! I’ve learned more on RUclips , than any gym in person . That’s sad
@@solodolo_mma3971 have yall actually been to gyms?
Wait a min u paid for a gym membership its not a boxing club so ofc u didn't learn anything
@@Bellahsnaa facts lol
@@Bellahsnaa you ever heard of a fight gym? Not everyone is a teenager in school. Not everyone only has access to clubs.

My right calf is killing me! Thanks for the burn Coach! 💪🏼💥🔥

55 yrs old and i love your teaching!
You mean he is 55???
When I exercise I realize how much difficult footwork in boxing can be. It looks easy but it's definitely not.
Right? Head movement too haha
Agreed

Bivol is the Text book example of this ...
Step in with a 1 - 2 ( piercing the oppo Guard )
Step out with a left or right hook
