I appreciate Thai culture finally being implemented in cinematography. Can’t wait to see more of it in the future. Yep my hunger doesn’t end.
This was an amazing movie!! It has stayed with me for several days after watching it.
When the chef guy from "Hunger" on netflix told the girl "your pad see ew joint scent doesn't belong here" I was like.... you're right that pad see ew belongs in my mouth! I love pad see ew. It's one of my favorite dishes that I have ever had. I also love pad Thai and I'm still trying new Thai dishes as well as other types. Thai spice is so good too. I'm glad to see Thai culture get more representation and I hope this movie makes more people want to try the beauty and deliciousness of Thai food. 💖
Try tiger cry . Po taek soup it’s so yummy 😋😋😋😋😋😋

One of the best movies i have seen in years. For those of you who think this is a movie about killing or death or a mystery you are all wrong. It is a movie that keeps hitting you in the face with life lessons.
Agreed
Absolutely! How we as humans become selfish, disrespectful and greedy is elaborately described.
Exactly 👍 tears in my eyes at the end when she started cooking again in her little restaurant for her family 🥰
Yeah...very first thing I thought was "wow a murder mystery full.of death" ...not wow they totally copied the music from The Menu
Just a Whiplash knockoff. Whiplash way better, this movie was too rushed and unusual at times.
This looks really good! I'm glad Thai films are finally stepping into the spotlight amidst the craze for Korean and Japanese cinema. Films from South East Asia matter too!

Seriously? I find the acting is too much "acting" and the delivery of dialogue not natural.

My exact thought, but then I'd rather see those two movies again.
how about burnt?
"The poor eat to end their hunger. But when you have more than enough to eat, your hunger doesn't end" is a perfect analogy for people who think "stuff" matters, whether rich or middle-class. The latest phone, the right car, the big house, the right clothing; but when they get those things, there's always still the latest phone after that, a bigger house, next season's "must-have fashion", and the other stuff they had to have, means nothing anymore. It never ever *ever* ends.
I think you mean materialistic when you say “stuff matters”
Here's the thing, one hunger is a material need and you'll die if you are not able to satisfy it, the other hunger is only subjective and you won't die from it. "Stuff" does matter very much.
@@thastayapongsak4422One is needs, a necessity like food and shelter.
Other is greed/materialistic.

This movie was very good. Don’t care what anyone says. It is probably one of my favorite movies now. The cinematography, the acting, social issues - its more that just cooking. Its perfectionism, a sort of god complex, indulgence… Well, hunger. Hunger in a context that is more than just food. I loved this movie, absolutely great.
Also the main character had amazing facial expressions, she had this insane sort of sinister smile when she was cooking at the end. Her expressions of fear and happiness were amazing too. Just great actors and great movie
I felt like the symbolism was kind of like the trope of selling your soul to the devil. It felt like a tale about morality.
Same here it has become one of my favorites
i haven't watched it but just the concept of abusing oneself over a potential perceived greatness, ties in perfectly with the grotesque capitalistic morality that is being reenacted. We have probably more than once have come face to face with this in our lives, like how we have become obsessed with serving and pleasing the rich. the alluring visuals of meticulously plated and presented dishes pretty much clashes with the emotional abuse and heavy neglect that is endured by these chefs throughout pretty much all of the kitchen scenes. it kind of reflects on to the audience in a way that makes them question the true value of human suffering and evaluate whether it is justified in a blissful state of pleasure.
The female lead is great at acting 🔥🔥🔥
Aokbab is so talented
The bad genius😂
And thank God they're not used mix caucasian breed actress who only has beauty but no acting talent.
It's a shame that something as nurturing as cooking becomes an environment of ego and abuse but I'm glad films are showing what's really happening in professional kitchens.
Yes, and sadly happens in many professions like dance, etc.
Just finished the movie. Its awesome. Its so refreshing watching a movie without hidden agenda.

The Bear
LMAOOO
The film has really penetrated my heart, its subject is so realistic and so plain that it tells very sharply what we do not want to see in life, which is always in front of our eyes. You have to watch.
This movie is great, totally agree with you
“When you have more than enough to eat, your hunger never ends.” God damn. Hit me in the soul.
bs
Deep down, nothing changed, his mother worked for the rich family and the boy traumatized by the caviar episode continued to serve and work for the rich seeking superficial approval through his food that never really existed, a scene in which he is hospitalized and there is no one but his employees reflects the world in which he lived, nobody really cared about the person and that was what he suffered the most even if he denied it. Great movie that leaves many messages to think seriously about the world we live in.
The DOP and Lead Gaffer in this film are absolutely outstanding, and the editor who cut together this trailer, just incredible. I am VERY impressed and will absolutely watch this film. The colorist is incredible. The view of this film makes it seem so dark, but like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am very impressed, simply by the tailor.
Hearing every line in the preview, just tells more of the lessons you need in life.

More than anything I was blown away someone could create something deep like this with food as background and the comparison movie - the menu is totally different concept and genre. This is visually stunning with good sound design and full of metaphors and inner depth on society, the story on paper is avg with confusing ending ( didn't get why she had to leave, she could run restaurant in her own way) but kudos to director and his craft - he had used food to tell lot of things about people and society, full of metaphors.
She left because the finances of the restaurant didn't belong to her, that Tos guy ran the business, and she was just the chef
Any movie about a chef in a professional kitchen is one I will watch no questions asked.
She is a really great actress indeed. Not just a great model.
Chutimon was an absolute gem in the movie 'Bad genius', can't wait to see how she nails this one :D

this is like the combination of the menu, meat grinder, black swan, and ready or not. i'm obsessed!
I like ur thinking ❤
I love this movie. So many layers of meaning. Very intriguing without unreasonable drama.
Good movie from Thailand
I love the movie title, depicting the hunger of the protagonist (among other things)
The title might also be alluding to the rapacious appetites of the rich. The head chef said "the poor eat to end their hunger. But when you have more than enough to eat, your hunger doesn't end." It's not enough to just eat for sustenance for the rich. Food is boring to them, so they are constantly searching for new experiences to wow them. The chefs are trying to fill that need, which is impossible because it never ends.
It gives similar chills as The Menu. But looks more intense and captivating. I have seen the actress playing a stressed role in Bad Genius, .......waiting for the release.
wow she is from Bad Genius right? cool
Just got done watching this and it was much better than expected. The acting was great but it spoke loudly with a very true message the poor are much happier because they appreciate everything while the rich don’t have much to desire because it’s already in front of them. I highly recommend this movie!
From Bad Genius to Bad Chef 👌🔥
Yeah😃.... I was thinking I have seen this actor before🔥
"So you're special now? Is it fun?" hit way too hard
I loved her in bad genius!! can’t wait to watch this for her and what seems to be an interesting movie from this trailer
Just finished watching it. And the ending makes Chef Paul the main protagonist rather than the antagonist. Their final meeting in the Flame restaurant really opens up Aoy perception and reassess her objective in life.
This is beautiful it separates the glorified cinematic theme in some countries where the artist plays a stupid role without the immersion and training it takes to really step in and do the craft in its full passion.
That’s the actress from Bad Genius, right?
I love the trailer already. Can’t wait to watch this 😍🤩

Having watched the entire film, I changed my mind. This is nothing like Whiplash or The Menu. It’s surprisingly heavily reminiscent of the Devil Wears Prada (‘Don’t be ridiculous, everybody wants this.’), but food edition.
Lots of great undertones and metaphors thrown in such as the real life version of a scrolling society, and hopping onto the ‘next big thing’.
To the world, you’re a big name chef that can easily be dropped regardless of ability. But to those closest to you, you already are the greatest chef and impossible to replace.
This film wasn’t what I’d expected going in and it’s quite brilliant. Took the title of ‘Hunger’ into far more than just food. And if we aren’t careful, some of us might find out too late that the cost of satisfying this ‘hunger’ is too much. Definitely a Netflix gem and a must watch.
