Leave a like if you hated any one of these contestants!
I love Leslie!
I rewatched season 5 with my boyfriend recently and we both adore leslie!!
Not long enough.
Leslie was annoying, but I think what we saw aside from the usual expected drama edits was an arrogant man who knew he could cook, and I think to some degree to be a good chef and work well under pressure it takes a certain level of arrogance, The reason Ramsay liked him was because he saw an ego big enough to do well in a professional kitchen.
So I can say I hated him just based off the fact he has a personality that rubs most people up the wrong way especially when 9/10 times he delivered the goods. It's a competition after all.
@@orcannon1942😊 ❤😊 😊a.a
Leslie is honestly one of my favorite contestants ever.
Arrogant and a big mouth but I like him too cl
1:19 this explain he is legend
He is Underrated!
Right? He is so likeable
Yeah mine too he was there to cook food not to make drama no one is perfect in this world but that man has an enormous heart to say sorry and accept his mistake. And to be Frank he should have been 2nd for the final
Honestly, Leslie wasn't a villain but wasn't a hero either. He was just himself and I like that about him.
He the main attraction either good or bad, he have gain everyone attention and became the big guy in that season.(to me his skills and confident also something few celebrities even jealous of)
@@tridungta9151 I agree
That man is the realist. I love him 🔥
@@pelarikota8103 we all do
The thing is Leslie was treated as the season's villain by the show runners and the contestants but clearly the viewers didn't get the memo because majority of us loved him. I notcied that American reality tv competitions always have that designated 'asshole', even in ANTM there's always a bitch..which is unnecessary in my opinion, they should have just let the viewers choose their favorite instead of trying to manipulate is into disliking certain people from their show.
It's hilarious that Cutter was giving Leslie crap about being a "real man" considering the guy was crying and whining about another dude just living his life. Real "manly", my guy. lmao
Cutters the type of guy I wouldn’t even give a second glance because of his attitude and misogyny
Leslie was more of a man that Cutter could ever hope to be. Leslie worked hard while his wife stayed home with the kids... after a certain point, Leslie quit HIS work, so his wife could go out and fulfill HER dream job. That takes a REAL man, something Cutter could not understand.
Cutter was the definition of fragile masculinity
I seriously hate people like that too. Like do you think taking care of 5 kids is easy and maintaining the household? There is so much responsibility. SAHP shouldn't be belittled at all.
Cutter was super arrogant and unpleasant, but similar to Leslie he had sincerity at times (just not as often as or as solid).
Leslie is only hated by the contestants but not by viewers. He's not pretentious, he was able to claw his way up because he can cook.
The show tried really hard to make him seem like a snob when he really just wasn't. I think the producers thought people would dislike him because of gender sterotypes and his somewhat flamboyant nature but they just missed the mark on it. You could tell the man was a hard worker.
Yall are aware he finished top 3 in most hated but why lie and say he’s not hated by the viewers
Also he literally said he is pretentious but hey you go off
if Leslie had not mixed up the salt to sugar.. he’d obviously win the competition
And yet Courtney did the same thing and stayed. Then again, Leslie didn’t lower his eyelids and adapt a “breathy” voice when speaking with the judges.
Also..he may not have. DUN DUN DUNNNNNN
If Leslie actually had mixed up salt and sugar completely, every judge would've spat it out and it never would've looked like a cake. It would've looked awful.
Yeah idk man I always said that was bullshit. If you actually replace the sugar with salt your cakes conna end up pretty inedible, the judges woulda had a way more absurd reaction than "Yeah, a bit salty innit"
I think I have read somewhere that he said he did put sugar, but the judges wanted Courtney to stay.
I forgot how much I liked Leslie. I also never really liked Courtney. Initially, she was OK, but as a season wore on, I just got more annoyed with her. I don’t even know if I had a good reason, I just remember really disliking her at the end and shocked that she won.
It’s because, at least for me, she constantly complained about being an “adult dancer” and only ever wearing heels.
I think so too. Idk why but I just feel like she isn't a genuine person.
As a fatherless adult, Leslie the G.O.A.T and blueprint
The craziest part of the Leslie hate is he never gave it unprovoked. Leslie gets asked a QUESTION, he answers the JUDGES and then it’s “look at him talking again”. He was always provoked and then when he gave it back it’s a problem. Something him and Krissi had in common is they absolutely could cook, that was undeniable
Even Joe part
leslie told him twice he is working on it
But Joe kept on complaining it is not seasoned
Wtf he is still preparing that sauce it's not finished
Finally, a video talking fair facts about Leslie. It always bugged me that everyone was shaming Leslie for being a homemaker and Elizabeth was unnecessarily mean and somehow she got a hero editing (yeah, I didn't like Courtney either, but Elizabeth was everything she was criticizing from Courtney, sooo Criple Fight in that finale). Back in the day nobody criticized Elizabeth for making assumptions about Leslie, but everyone got at Cutter for being a bigot against Leslie, shows how the double standards works, right?
I felt like the only person in my group of friends that despised both Cutter and Elizabeth. They both were annoying.
Don’t forget about the tweets from Elizabeth slut shaming Courtney, and I quote “Remember the time when the Stripper won?” (Deleted the tweet some time later). Idk why she got the hero editing.
bro, Leslie was there SURVIVING each week w all those pressure tests 😭
I will give him credit. He was a trooper
Leslie deserved to win over paula jones (courtney )
Nah Elizabeth should've won
Ew no. She was mediocre at best.
@machoman1016 no Elizabeth made so many mistakes
@@JT-ih2rx In the top two, Elizabeth shouldve won cuz Courtney is not even cooking anymore lmao
@chriscausaren out of courtney and Elizabeth I agree but in the top 3 Leslie should of won
No matter how you feel about him, you gotta admit that Leslie is a very sharp dresser. Always has the appearance of a gentleman, even if his attitude sometimes lacked such.
But he could back up his words, unlike others who may say "oh, I cook (blank) ALL THE TIME, I totally got this!" and then fail to prove that sentence.
Krissi, on the other hand...Omg, that girl was just a hot mess. What the actual heck??
He was very stylish indeed
Ok but him saying “well you haven’t met me yet” after surviving 5 pressure tests is so bad ass 😂
Just because you have cancer doesn’t mean you’re not also a jerk.
You can do both.
Leslie was one of my FAVORITE contestants. He’s confident, compassionate, and knows his boundaries. He seems like a very caring man!
I think ppl forget ppl can just..be confident and maybe occasionally rude…bc they’re human. Leslie’s a human in a really stressful situation, but knew his worth, and they HATE that
If people don’t wanna like rude people that’s fine. It’s a negative trait
@@DolphinboiBeing occasionally rude does not make someone a rude person. I’d imagine you’ve probably been a douche at times in your life, we all have.
Honestly I love leslie and I hate the fact that people on that season use him being a stay at home dad as a insult
Do you think it’s ok for men to wear makeup and female clothes
@@Dolphinboifragile ass man
@@Dolphinboi
Is this some sort of gotcha moment
Leslie's only crime was that he was annoying sometimes and very much a 'Type A' personality, but he definitely wasn't a bad guy. I may not jive with his personality, but he works hard and his sentiment for his family and supporting his wife's dreams is honestly really sweet. Taking care of a house and family IS work and women who've been forced into to that role and say otherwise when men do it, should be ashamed of themselves.
Do you think it’s ok for men to wear makeup and skirts
@@Dolphinboi I do. Has your father ever shown you genuine affection, or was that too gay for him to do?
@@ri0tgh0ooul89bro cooked😂
Cutter couldn’t cook and every time he was told something, he gave attitude and arrogance.
Still find it weird that Leslie is Melissa Joan Hart's step-dad.
Im sorry fucking what?
@@chadbusch8541 Yep, his wife is Paula Hart, Melissa's mother and producer of Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Very neat.
@@chadbusch8541 lol, that was my reaction too
Yeah, the second I heard "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," my jaw dropped.
bruh, Leslie was silver fox mixed with malibu sunshine, this man should not be anywhere on this list.
Just because Leslie is hot to u doesn’t mean he isn’t annoying or rude. You’re superficial
I cant get over the fact that leslie looks exactly like dante from devil may cry
I lived Leslie. He was an honest man and confident.
Nothing wrong with that.
Elizabeth was catty and Courtney was stuck up.
Leslie isnt arrogant, he just really knows what he can and cant do🤷♂️
Leslie is one of the best and probably most misunderstood contestants. The guy is amazing
wow, i grew up watching sabrina the teenage witch and have only just learned that i rooted for her stepdad many years later lol
She’s really mean just FYI
Despite Leslie’s loud mouthed attitude, still didn’t hate him as much as Courtney; they really tried to push her as some kind of sympathetic tragic figure but she was a conventionally attractive, fairly well off, condescending and I’m supposed ti feel bad for her because she did sex work? Where she reportedly made tons of money? Yeah naw; Courtney was the real villain of season 5
Leslie may be an ass occasionally but definitely can back it up. I say he shouldve won
I totally 100% despise Krissi. Was THRILLED when she finally lost and was sent home. I really enjoyed the show without her on it afterwards. Now, with that said, My heart does go out to her and I am happy she has survived Cancer. I might despise, at least who she was but I never wished her dead or anything serious. Leslie was a trip, love him and I am happy he is doing so well and is still married and all that good stuff.
She survived? 😮💨
The other contestants hated Lesie because he was a threat from the start and he lieved their dreams, he started at the botom of the foodchain and now he has a beautifull family in malibu with a stepdaughter who is tv royalty. Cutter also hates hom because leslie is him 10×, and the woman are mad because thier partners don't want to sacrifice their lifes for them to succeed
I met Leslie in Paris when we were dropping off our kids to University. My middle daughter recognized him when we were on the parents cruise on the river. He was pretty cool and we kept in touch via Social media u til we met up again in Paris.
Wow! Very cool story and interaction
MasterChef Contestants That Were HATED yet twenty minutes is dedicated only to Leslie. Way too long
Fr, 9 minutes in I started skipping ahead to figure out if there was ever going to be a purpose to the plural lol
Literally only talked about two people and the woman wasn't even the one on the videos picture 🙄🙄 like put the white woman you're talking about on your page 🙄🙄
I don’t understand why it’s okay to be a stay mom but being a stay at home dad is something to be mocked? I see nothing wrong with being a working mom or stay at home dad as long as the children are happy and healthy/taken care of physically socially emotionally financially.
The fact that the producer force Leslie out of the competion after that Pressure test with Cutter show how talented the guy it.He cook 3 different dish that have insane difficulty.
I honestly had no idea he was Stepfather to Melissa Joan Hart and the reason they moved was for the Sabrina the teenage witch show.
With that information my view on how he was treated on the show probably stems from jealousy, and his connection with such an iconic series might even be a reason he didn't win Masterchef, maybe him winning would bring up accusations of favoritism given that undoubtedly his wife is a multi-millionaire producer. Although the show had been off the air for over a decade, I imagine with syndication it was still bringing the family a lot of money.
I never got the hate for Leslie I always loved him and always hated Courtney and yes I caught that dam favoritism/hypocritical salt/sugar thing and it passed me off but I wrote it off as she did it early on and he did it super late
i never hated him but i did kinda dislike the way he talked to the younger female contestants like they were dumb little babies. (although tbh some were but still) i found the insults about him being a stay at home dad to be a complete double standard and hated that. BUT he did apologize, which is more than i can say for most contestants.
@@katt1996 Ahran and Leslie are still friends and keep in contact. She said that they resolved their issue before the challenge but the producers edited it to make it seem that the argued longer that they actually did and they mended things throughout the challenge.
I see a lot of people dunking on Leslie, I love how quirky he is and he just acts a way, it’s nice and makes me crack up 😂
Live Laugh Leslie
Leslie was only hated because he was a stay at home dad. I really liked Leslie. Everyone judged him for being a stay at home dad. Leslie is a great dad. And, honestly, a great chef. He should have won.
Leslie was so awesome! he was just an honest guy who was also a really good cook and team player. he was confident in himself but everyone hated that and everyone was against him. He SHOULD have won I didn't even finish that season after he was off the show..
Leslie is cool
I really liked Leslie from the beginning, I always thought he was very misunderstood
Leslie deserved the win, you ain't changing my mind
Leslie was sabotaged
Change my mind
Courtney's victory WASN'T EARNED!!!!!!!
Elizabeth was the best chef that season
@oviasogieewaen5787 no I disagree leslie was better Elizabeth made alot of mistakes.
To be honest here i wanted Leslie to win that season it sucks that he didn't i never hated him hes a great man and a honest one too just being honest. 😁
You don’t know Leslie. You can’t say he’s a great man.
The best part of Season 5 was seeing Leslie and Ahran come together and put their differences aside. In shows like this when conflicts include more viewership, it was nice to see them work together. Okay, they were pushed together to work as a pair for a challenge but it worked for them. And Leslie's farewell to Ahran when she was eliminated was beautiful.
Personally I think they were contestants less likeable than Leslie in season 5, like Courtney, Elizabeth and Cutter.
I've not gone onto the Krissi part of the video but seriously, I really disliked that woman! Such a bully!
Krissi was absolutely right with what she said when she got eliminated, "I wasn't fake, I was me all the way through." 😁
I didn't really hate Leslie
He was arrogant and cocky but he could back up the talk but I love the guy cant lie
Honestly, I don't like the arrogance trait in any shape and form, but Leslie was someone else. He didn't deserve the hate like at all, he was honest, he was hard-working and he was straight to the point. He *deserved* to be in the finals and not Courtney. People just spite when people are straight-forward.
I mean, in our Swedish Masterchef, we have now a similar person who is honest and straightforward, but people love that he is who he is, but somehow, Leslie got hate. Sometimes, I do wonder...
Leslie was arrogant, there’s nothing wrong with disliking arrogant people
@@Dolphinboi If someone talks like this about what they do, and THEN THEY ACTUALLY DO IT. Then it's not arrogance anymore, its overconfidence at the worst because He's aware of what he can do
I LOVED Leslie. The guy might have a mouth on him, but he can back it all up. I mean seriously the guy almost beat all the pressure tests with flying colors. Even if he was painted as the villain, he was the hero of the season for me.
Courtney on the other hand rubbed me the wrong way from the get go. The moment she "won" against Leslie I stopped watching the show altogether. I got enough good memories from season 3 and 4, and although Leslie didn't win season 5 I'll remember him fondly.
I hated cutter.
Leave leslie alone
The sugar instead of salt in the cake thing is really confusing me. Cakes usually call for 1/8-1/2tsp of salt…how could that small amount of sugar affect a cake that much, especially when cake recipes already call for sugar??
Chrissie is just a mean and evil woman. Don't know what she went through to get to that point, but was so wrong the whole time. I feel badly for her son
There are people more hated... Sean from Masterchef Canada Season 3. I think we all know what i am referring too
The Rib Incident if I’m correct
@@DanDan-vi2uq Ye

When I was younger i baked a cake with my uncle (a baker for a few decades) and we made the same mistake that Leslie “did” and i can just tell you now, one the cake barely rised a fraction of what it was supposed to and two nobody is taking 1 cup of salt or more with a straight face
when that other contestant brought up the clear courtney favoritism to stinky-ass joe i was gagged.
Aussie here, who loves the British version of this show. Not bitching, no nastiness. None in the Australian version either. What is it with Americans?? Spoils it for me every time, drama and spite. Totally unnecessary!
You forgot to add when Leslie pulled a UNO reverse card on Joe when he said the dish wasn't seasoned
Leslie, that's the man we should all try our hardest to live up to. He's a man in every sense of the word!
Leslie is the Top Alpha Giga Chad of all reality show combined
Leslie was awesome he shouldve won
I firmly believe that once they are top 6 or 4 or something the show is rigged by who's cookbook a marketing department thinks will sell best. I've been able to predict every winner of every season I've watched on that criteria.
I love Leslie because every time he spoke big, he showed big, he wasnt an arrogant prick but a confident champ.
Leslie is basically the Right in a right vs left conflict. He is just very vocal
I loved Leslie and I never understood why he was bullied so much by everyone else.
Really? Leslie? Dude had the perfect character development in that season. Errbody loves Leslie.
for me leslie is the best and most charismatic of his season
I'm surprised krissi didn't eat everything on the show
I can see how people may not like leslie he is very confident and it can come off cocky but he seems like a really wholesome guy
Leslie, controversial maybe, but not hated. A long list lines up before him, like Nathan from season 7, Suzy from season 2, Christie from season 4, and so on😂
Leslie was a kind of person that u hated when u first met but later on u love him being around than other people
I’m a producer - the audio mashup you’re talking about is called a frankenbite.
Leslie has that air about him, the air of like a kind and loving grandpa and there aren't much people who can no only speak their skills but prove it too.
I know Leslie knows how to have a good time, that guy making fun of him for being a sahd probably misses out on bonding.
I love season 5 but i always stop at top 3 and rewatch prior seasons. The last season i watched was 6 and it just lost its appeal for me.
Literally the best part of s5, was seeing leslie and ahran grow
Leslie was not hated by the fans. If anything, Chris from season 4 ( i think that's his name?) should have been in his place on this list
How many episodes would someone last if they refused to do any interview comments so as there's no audio to manipulate?
nah cutter should be the one that viewers hate the most, leslie is arrogant but he have the skill to backup it up
Putting Leslie who finished 3rd over Tali/Ryan from season 3 was definitely a bold choice. Those two were hated by both other contestants and viewers
Bet Leslie is the dad, DAD. The way he rants reminds me of my mom, that's his househusband side show up lol. I love him because he has the skill to back up his statement, what a GOAT.
Leslie deserved the 1 price. He was a great man
I don't know about Crissy having mellowed out. While her having to go through Cancer treatment is unfortunate, my sympathy for her doesn't take away from her abusive behavior.
I do really hope that everyone seeing her behavior was a wake up call but with people like that I doubt it.
I'm so happy to see a defense of Leslie! He was never the snake they painted him as and he's a great partner for helping his wife fulfill her dreams. I'm a stay at home mom and the way he was treated simply for trading roles is exactly what's wrong with the world. I'm convinced Cutter was threatened by the idea that the man he always tried not to be seemed so much more successful than him.
Treat boys better, men. Women have spent the last few centuries learning how to support each other, to be safe together, and how to find sisterhood. Society isn't lacking macho toxic men who want to control manhood. It's lacking brotherhood and respect for diversity of choice.
Leslie was goated. I actually really enjoyed watching him.
Cutter is the rotc kid that will never want to be deployed
I loved Leslie, I loved how proud he was to be a full time dad with his kids!
Leslie got setup
I am glad you are supporting Leslie instead of being neutral.
Paula and Leslie’s story is so sweet.
I’m from south Philly like Krissi but I promise u I don’t act like that unless someone starts with me first
I really enjoyed watching Leslie and was so disappointed he lost. I mean I still remember him while I don't even remember the winner
Why was Dorian in the thumbnail?
Krissi needs to be the thumbnail of this video, she is the embodiment of HATE on masterchef
I understand leslie, in my school we had a male teacher who was well loved and when he had his first kid, his wife had an well paying job so the teacher decied to become a stay at home dad. Its honestly horrible that theres a sort of judgment when a man said "im gonna be a stay at home dad" if the wife makes money and the dad stays home. Why does it matter so much?
I think Leslie was a really interesting case of how he was meant to be a villain, but it backfired and most people grew to like him. he's arrogant sure, but he was definitely not an ill intentioned man. he started out beefing with Ahran but they grew to like each other and that was pretty much how the audience responded to him as well.
When your skill matches up your arrogance, yep.... That's Mr. Leslie for ya.
There is another possibility Leslie picked up a package marked sugar, but it was a mixture of salt and sugar. On, Hell's Kitchen, the producers might sabotage a station, mess with the cotrols of ocens and stove tops.
