    ------------------------------------------
    In this Photoshop tutorial, you'll learn how to resize image, text, and shape layers with a few different methods. Starting off, you'll learn how to use the Move Tool to resize layers, along with tips to lock the proportions of your layer as you scale. From there, you'll see how you can use the Options Bar and a reference point to scale your image to specific dimensions and locations on your canvas. Then we discuss how smart objects help to maintain your layer's quality as you scale it up and down, and we end on the easy trick of linking related layers to make scaling them together a breeze. Hope you enjoy :)

    I had to watch 4 videos for an issues, still got no useful solution. but this one video alone solved two of my problems. Thank you so much!

    When I tried by selecting my layer then pressing "V" to change to the move tool, at first the transform option wasn't showing. But, I looked at the top of session above the name of the project and checked the box that said "Show Transform Controls." After doing that, I was able to transform it. Thank you!

    question: did you set up the "move tool l" (V) to act as 'command-t" transform? 'cause my move tool does not give me those options at all....? 🤔 thanks!

    Did it ever dawn on your to SLOW DOWN so the viewer can actually see what you’re doing?
    Equally frustrating is the fact you point out something, mentioning it’s not the same on all versions of PS yet show only where it is on yours, then blast on to the next thing. As much as these tutorials are appreciated, most end up causing more headaches than they’re worth.

    Whenever I paste the first image it doesn't let me resize it, I can only move it up and down or to the side, even after trying to use move tool

    I wish and wonder if resizing an image/photo and ratio aspect and pixels would be possible in particular for Etsy sellers benefit. That would attract specific viewers to this channel. Specific and niche content to a specific group of viewers is one way to attract traffic. Well, thanks.

    I am so lost in Photoshop for simple tasks. The video says it's resizing layers. What I see in the video is how images on a layer are getting resized and the layers stay the same size (see the white borders around the dog image and the layer previews in the layers menu). I think a have a huge misconception.

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  5 месяцев назад +1

      A layer is any element in your canvas, such as an image, shape, text, etc. The canvas is the confines of the entire project (aka the often white or transparent area around an image that is too small).
