    Batteries push button must be ON before starting an APU
    and Battery switch must be ON throughout the APU run (For Fire Detection)

    Do you happen to have any cold and dark startup footage? Or maybe at least start up from batteries?

      No, haven’t had the opportunity to record it from battery start up only. Will make some when I get the chance.

    1)What is the difference between green and amber Nose wheel steering disconnect?
    2) Can you please make a TCAS II and Weatherradar Test in the A359?
    3)Can you please make an ELT test, too?

      Hello there, if you have the green light, nose wheel steering is disconnected. The amber lt is a nose wheel steering fault, could be caused by many thing, but if it happens with you pull the nose wheel steering disconnect it is not disconnected. If you then would start a engine when doing a pushback you could damage the nose gear. You can dispatch with that feature I op, but you then can only start engines after pushback.
      I ll try to make a video of the tcas and weather radar test in the AESS.

      When you do the TCAS II Test, can you please show the test without ATSAW and then with ATSAW activated?
      So two tests. One with ATSAW and one normal TCAS test, please.
      Regarding the Difference between the amber and green N/W steering Disconnect message.
      Green is normal and means Nose wheel steering is disconnected.
      If the amber Disconnect message appears something is not ok.
      If I would do a pushback and start the engine, a damage could happen.
      If I want to start the engine I have to wait until pushback is completed, correct?
      Can you please name one or two reasons which cause this amber message?

      @@AVIATIONSOUNDEXPERT I think what he means is if you get a green NWS DISCONNECT you can start an engine whilst pushing back. If you get an amber one then you need to wait until pushed back and pin removed before starting

    Why is there a separate button for the APU inlet door? Is there any scenario where one might want to open it without running the APU?

    What keeps the APU fans spinning for cooldown after the fuel has been cut off? The starter motor?

      No the amount of fuel is reduced during the cooldown period, then cut off occurs after about a minute or so.
      You would destroy the starter if you would re engage it again

      Thanks for your reply. So, there is a self-sustaining flame maintained but with a fuel to air ratio that gradually reduces until cutoff??

      With engines running the engine generators take over from the APU anyway so turning off the APU generator wouldn't do anything

      Yes, A380 also has the ACMS, and an Onboard Maintenance Terminal were you can access many sensor of many systems.
