Fyi guys, the history of Baba n Nyonya went back all the way to the time of the Sultanate of Malacca. Back then there was still no Malaysia. Even then, Malacca had a strong relationship with China. So strong that the Emperror that time gave his daughter in marriage to the Sultan of Malacca. The princess came to Malacca complete with all her courtesans and guards etc. Later these courtesans and guards etc adopted the traditional Malay way of living. To cut the story short, their descendants are called baba for guys and nyonya for girls.
Ahaha, I want that Iris 'Char Siu & Siu Yook' ditty as my lullaby! (always hafta support a fellow left-hander as well!) - thanks for that micro-snippet of the rainfall too (I love KL's brief but insane thunderstorms) (oh btw, congrats Kevin!)

@@RainBaha so I did make each stop its own video. But as you can tell, some of my footage was not the best. My camera was breaking and wouldn’t focus all the time. So I decided to combine the footage and tried to use only the best parts.

You were a teacher??? God help the kids and us all! 😂 Hahah just kidding! 🤪 Btw all that _roti bawang_ and everything else in the beginning, do you guys know about, and have tried, _roti sarang burung_ or in some outlets they are called _roti jantan_ - but you have to ask them before ordering to clarify whether it's a mere _roti telur_ where they pour stirred eggs inside the roti, or are they really the ones that I mean for you to try if you haven't already, where they place 2 sunny side up eggs on top of the roti or 2 rotis, and pour the curry/dhal on top - plain yummy! My 2 favorites are _roti sarang burung_ and _roti telur bawang!_ Anyway enjoy your food hunt and stay in KL/malaysia, _selamat menjamu selera!_ ✌️

Back of Malaka secluded area from Tan Cheng Lok, you will see very cheaply served to the only local, they have chicken rice, nasi lemak, been hoon on pack for just one or two Ringgits in a bungkus.
