IMO, one of the best horses in this scale was the Revoltech Kaiyodo one. I got a fully barded model, toghether with its Gothic knight, a few years ago. Outstanding regarding mobiliy and detailing. They were also available without horse armour. But at 400 USD at that time, I decided to pass. Funnily enough, I ran into the same problem with its stand. Had to drill the post out and made the hole larger. I ended up 3d printing a new adapter. However, I am still very careful with usind this modded stand, I never leave it alone when the horse is standing on less than four hooves.
Now I know you made this video a year ago.. and you probably already ordered a new stand for this horse... May I suggest you can go to a hardware store, or order online, Aluminum wire that can be easily bent to support you horse figure in any position... If the wire is a bit thick for the hole, you can drill it out, for a tight fit.. and mount the wire in a flat peace of wood.. for positioning it in any position you want.. I'm a sculptor.. I create clays that are cast into bronze.. In fact I'm working on a three horse piece now.. I make my armatures out of aluminum wire, such as, Bonsi Wire, that is used for forming Bonsi Trees. I purchase it off of Amazon.. It has plenty of strength for holding something like this horse and can be manipulated very easily.. you don't need the cheap plastic mounts that come with these kind of figures.. Anyway.. good review.. and I agree with what you say about this figure.. Happy drawing.. You should try sculpting.. you already know the proportions.. I'd bet you'd do great.
Actually, I have not ordered another stand, and I have started sculpting with clay! So thanks for the timely information. I'll try to get some of that wire.
Excellent review! By all accounts it looks like the first Figma horse release back a few years ago is much more anatomically correct. The position of the original figure's saddle and tack was also better. Was wondering if you would be interested in reviewing the first release Figma horse?
Thank you! And I would but I need to get one obviously. I haven't seen them for sale except for knockoff sellers. Maybe I could find one on Ebay. It is weird that the first version looks better.
If you'd like I can donate an extra copy to you. It would be the first version of the Figma White horse. Let me know if your interested and I can make the necessary shipping arrangements. :)
I feel it's supposed to be a more animated design not as much realistic. That is why proportions aren't correct. Like in anime style when people have big eyes but tiny noses and mouths. Thank you for the review!
Maybe some scale model cement could help you reattach the peg of the stand. Thank you for your review. I know nothing about horses, so I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge of the subject. Since the horse was getting re-released along with two new colors, I was curious to see if horse was worth getting, and this review was really useful in that respect.
Very observant great review, I couldn't decide if I wanted it or not but now I know, thank you

Hell yeah, I got a restock notification after years and got it at original price, it’s been sitting displayed in the same pose since lol
Was on the fence about this one, I think I'm gonna pass or look for alternatives. Thanks.

The manual shows you use two figma stands on him,one to carry his weight the other to stabilize him.

Great review! Have you seen the Mythic Legions horses. They are more expensive but I think they are more accurate. Check them out. Bye.
They are on my list. Hopefully next year.

Shut up
Thanks! And the peg is unfortunately jammed in the hole. I haven't been able to get it out.
It’s a anime art style is why it’s shaped that way
Why she say from the front like that
