caca marron is literally brown poop in spanish, IM DYING!
in portuguese is almost the same too lol
in french its literally the same!
also in Arabic
lol so many languages and then there's english!
VivaLaVida french as well lmao
0:48 little did she know that her future subscribers would choose her hair color.
Manny Manilla and her tattoo
Manny Manilla 😂
Manny Manilla IKR I WAS THINKING LITERALLY THE EXACT SAME THING
And she would get the "perfect" hair color
Lush henna is literally the worst henna you can buy. It's expensive and it doesn't work.
it look suspicious, i just use real henna smell bad but i know its legit
it is very moisturizing though. my parents have the henna plant and we use the leaves to extract the dye and it DOES dry the hair out.
Really? I've used some pretty legitimate indian henna on my hair and my hair was really luscious.
my hair type is pretty dry and curly, maybe that's why!
i find it not drying o.o
Omg I'm watching this in 2017 and look at devins damn hair it looks so different now
Kennedy Davis omfg i relate
ikr
Kennedy Davis sammmeees
Omg I know! She's gorgeous no matter what (they all are), but I like her hair the best the way it is now 2018
I was literally gonna comment the same thing. Omg it's weird looking at her with not blonde hair.
Devin should be a permanent member of the ladylike crew/cast
i have a feeling she is. she mentioned it on insta i think. she must be replacing canace who has left to work at sugar pop i believe
Oh noooo I love Candice!
hey, check out my channel! I am a mediocre person who tries to be funny :0
+JQIsabella Candice doesn't work for Buzzfeed anymore :(
Oh god no lmao she's so annoying. It should just be Freddie safiya Jen and Chantal.
I used to use henna to die my hair reddy brown and honestly by the looks of this, its much better to get the powder stuff you mix with water from an actual indian shop rather than lush
Emma Archer agree
Definitely, I would NEVER use this Lush stuff.
i totally agree. 5 hours seriously??
Yeah my friend did hers that way and even on her dark brown hair there was a very noticeable difference and it lasted a long time.
meh, I've been using lush's caca rouge for 2 years and love it!
I'm Arabic and here we use pure henna and it's definitely changed your hair color for some people it makes it more red and for some black and for some others more brown, but we don't use it to dye our hair, but to like treat it and take care of it and something like that and it's wonderful and amazing and for the smell we mix some perfume with it, and about how we make it exactly we mix henna with some oil (any oil you prefer) and some perfume (Sorry for my bad English)
I'm Arab and in my family we never mixed perfume with our Henna. I think perfume is bad for your hair? Since Most Arabs have black or dark brown hair, the propose of using henna is not to dye it, as you said, we use it to nourish, strengthen and moisturize our hair.
Yeah, perfume is bad for your hair because of the alcohol in it.
윤린 I'm Arab as well, my family (the older members) use henna to dye their white hairs. Both men and women.
I am not Arabic, I'm actually French! But I have a deep red hair and it's extremely curly and think I would love to try it as a treatment! I'm always looking for great nourishment products :)!
윤린 I'm Arab as well exactly morrocan and we use henna for our hands like a tattoo and we never mixed the henna with perfume I think that will damage the hair
every time you can't use your hands, your nose gets itchy lol, i swear
Ooh my God yes!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yessss fr
Freddie: "Look at these little things! Ain't she cute?"
(in her most child-like voice she can do)Saf: "Mom!"
Midnight .she was cute
Midnight lol ikr

I used to work at LUSH and it was always so awkward trying to sell this to folks who knew that a bag of henna at an Indian grocery store cost less than $5. Each of these blocks went for like $25 each before taxes.
😨
ripper - that is what Lush is. Bombed in India! Awful brand - super overpriced and as stupid and fussy and idiotic and useless like the Brits themselves
Yeah, and for short hair, one box lasts 3-4 dye jobs. So, I use maybe 2 boxes a year. That was a plus, that it's so cheap. But Lush is all about ooooh it's natural, that's what they're selling. They think their customer base is ignorant.
Here in India, mehendi(henna) is so common .. .even before anyone!s marriage we have a mehendi ki raat ( which means the night of henna, idk if my translation is cool) where we all ladies and the groom apply Heena on our hands .... Some ladies apply it on there legs as well .. I m quite fond of it
Their*
we have a henna night for the wedding in Tunisia too :D
we do the same in Morocco

I’m literally wearing the dye right now. It makes ur hair so good. It’s so healthy for your hair.
In my country it’s available in powder form. I put a little bit of water the day before, and on the day I put yogurt, an egg white and lemon and make it a paste. I put it in my hair and wait for one or two hrs and then wash it with shampoo.

"They say stay in your lane boy, lane boy..."
oh yes
OMG OMG OMG everything makes sense now!!! I am cho chang yall! :D
Just a warning to everyone! If you ever color your hair with henna, see a professional if you want to go lighter. Unfortunately, peroxide and ammonia do not mix to well with henna. As a stylist, if had to do many test strands and tell people we couldn't make their hair lighter because the chemicals were reacting badly. Be safe everyone!
thx😘
PrincessOfSass one of my friends didn't listen and bleached it by herself. Her hair turned green 😂
i have found that its fine to dye you're hair afterwards but only if you used 100% pure henna. everything else added such as indigo to give you a darker color is what gives it a bad reaction.
PrincessOfSass I am mainly curious as to how to wash the aftermath though ;-;
It actually washes up pretty well :0
For those of you who are new to henna and are interested in trying it out for the first time, please wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo a few hours before applying the henna paste. Generally, 4 hours is the ideal time you’ll have to let the henna sit to get great results. Always use loads of cheap conditioner to get all the henna out of your hair and scalp. Ensure you don’t leave any behind because in a lot of cases that leads to some serious scalp itching. Happy hennaing!
All Spanish speakers will get this "Caca Marron" 😂😂
Lukapo 33 all French speakers will get this
+Flaketub Flake i speak both so "caca marrón and caca noir" 💩❤ 😂
brown poop
Lukas Pomsztein yep 😂

"Anything that brings me closer to being Lily Potter."No. You're Cho Chang, y'all
Emily Ward YESSSSS
This is NOT how you do henna !!!!!!!!! Henna is heat sensitive..so when you heat it like that you have pretty much killed its beneficial coloring properties. If they had made henna paste the real way (dry henna powder +essential oils+ water/lemon juice), they would have to wait a few hours for the dye to release and then apply it. I wish buzzfeed did their research beforehand on this topic. As a henna artist, this pisses me off because this does NOT represent henna AT ALL! The title should be woman trying Lush Products version of henna...because the legit way to use henna is not like this.
Harleen B exactly
Buzzfeed and research? Impossible.
Agreed, my mom dyes her hair with henna sisnce forever and the process you said is how she does it and it always ends up gorgeous. Although I must say that is might be a mistake from the manufacturer, in the package it could be stated that the pot and hot water is how it should be done.
im pretty sure thats what lush instructs them to do. its not pure henna so the process is probably different because of that
EXACTLYY
they didn't use real henna cuz real henna would actually change the hair color drastically and it also stinks
True. When Saf said she didn't think it was going to change her hair color I thought she was underestimating henna but then....
No they boiled it . And your not supposed do it in anything metal. Boiled water mixed in to it stir it leave it at least 12 hours before using it.
No henna doesnot stink!
How a mild dying agent like henna can dye drk hair without bleach
@demi m jones then ibcant say what type od henna u people are getting
If u plant henna in ur garden then u will see what aweome smell it has
i thought the title said hyena hair dye and im mildly disappointed now
Phandom
+Lily Isnotonfire hi
thats exactly what it is. Henna in indian culture for henna and hands. women use henna in the hair to mask the grey hair and leaves red streaks where the grey hairs were. I would know because my mom does it daily and it leaves a really bad smell
^^^ HYENA
Mira_Was_Here you do know that's not how its spelled right?
they all have such beautiful skin and their hair looks super healthy afterwards.
Working for buzzfeed seems really fun.
yeah, but if you go somewhere else, you get fired :/
and they dont paid that much either, you also have to produce your videos (spend your own money)
all their ideas belong to buzzfeed, it's a business and it's all about money. so not too fun unless you're videos are successful
I wanna work there because all of the snacks they have, looks delicious 🍩🍪🍫🍬🍭🍳🍟🍕

I also call henna, mehndi. I am from Srilanka🇱🇰, which is next to India 🇮🇳 so it makes sense!!
Hareni Rasan I call it that tooo
I am from Sri Lanka too my cousins are all amazing at henna
I tried the red LUSH henna hair dye... it not only dyed my hair in a way that made it ombre when it grew out, my hair became less frizzy! It's a hair treatment as well. My favourite LUSH product.
"Anything to get me closer to Lily Potter" This girl has the right idea!
umm... do they not know what caca means?😂
No haha it's caca and yes it means poop
yeah, I'm French and the clicbait got me ahah. Saw black poop on the thumbnail that seemed interesting
I laughed when I saw it like ??? it's hilarious
Khadija Sesay yeah it's supposed to be funny lmao
Khadija Sesay of course they do they are adults
Thats some strange henna, I’ve only seen powdery type of henna.
yeaah as an Egyptian we just use powdery henna and mix it with things like water and some people add black tea and I'be never seen this kind of henna
My mother has used powdered henna, but I have not seen it....we use henna paste which comes in neatly packed tubes....
This is real henna powder, mixed with some other stuff and pressed, so it’s essentially a hair treatment as well. Like they said at the end, it leaves your hair feeling amazing and sooo shiny.
I’ve used Lush’s Rouge color for about 6 years now, my hair is naturally a dark blonde/very light golden brown, and it ends up amazingly natural-looking red every time! A lot of people think my hair is naturally red until I tell them otherwise.
@@darbylogan4241 oh ok👍
@@darbylogan4241 okay but not a long lasting color

Do Americans not know that Chai is tea? So chai tea is teatea
HAHAHA
Its a flavor there
ImthatSocially awKwardMaknae I understand that, but it's amusing to anyone who knows what it means. "May I please have one tea-tea please." It's like asking for espresso coffee. It's redundant
If you asked for tea and then asked for chai tea they are two different things. There's lots of silly stuff like that and it depends on what you're used to. I am sure there are things where you live that are called strange things that other countries would consider weird/wrong. It's really not a big deal lol
Cat Woman I know, but it always makes me smile :)
Caca means poop in a few languages. So, LOL!
ya watch the video that's all they are talking about
cutez0r in Russian and Ukrainian 😂
In german too 😄
and in Polish as well 😂
In portuguese too :)
As someone with henna experience - do not freak out if you think your hair is dry and frizzy after you wash it out first; you just didn't wash it all out because it is very difficult to do so. Trust me - the next time you shampoo and condition your hair, the colour will be rich and amazing, the shine will be visable from space, and it will be super- soft. Once you've learned how to properly henna, you will never go back to chemical dyes. Best thing about it? You will also never have roots again, due to the affordability and totally non-harmful benefits of henna; you could literally dye your hair every two weeks, and the only side effect will be that it's thicker and shinier. Also, you can use it on your eyebrows too.
True story.
You cant put normal colour/dye/bleach on your hair till the henna is grown out.Your hair will seriously have a chem reaction with results like burning the hair (sometimes off). And/or having the end crisp off.
but devin is blonde now. this video must be a little bit older since on her newest pics on instagram she has blonde hair.
Emily Ellen Exactly!
I was going to comment that, I really hope someone told them that and they didn't ruin their hair for the sake of a video.

4:38 her hair become a warmer shade because she wrapped her hair. If she had left her hair out, the blue-black would have shown up more. Just a tip for anyone who wants to try it :D
Henna is fun, but if you ever want to actually dye your hair later on it's a nightmare. Henna does NOT mix well with traditional dyes and makes them do totally unexpected things. It'll make it patchy, or a different color than it should be. Plus even when the henna color is gone it still coats the hair, so the only way to guarantee results with traditional dyes is to cut off any hair that has had henna.
learned this lesson the hard way
what if you keep it just at your ends?
in a lot of cases ive seen henna mixed with professional hair color products completely melt the hair! terrifying! do not recommend!
right?!?!
why does freddie always look so good i'm shook
her braids at the end murder me
"Caca marrón" literally means "brown poop" in spanish...
What a fancy name!
It's the same meaning in French xD
*French
Yea when I saw that in the store I was like. 'Uh... they know what this means right?" lol
Lillian Mass in Spanish caca also means poop hahaha
same in romanian
Omg I dye my hair with henna all the time so I can definitely relate to the struggle of washing it out. I usually get it in the form of powder though and add water to it. I also think that lighter henna works better because I have naturally brown hair, not really dark brown but not light either. And it gives me much more of a red affect than it gave them.
I'm french and caca marron means "brown poop " 😂😂
Flore Breon ikr im french too

Sanskriti Telang chai also means tea in russian too lol
Sanskriti Telang lol it means the same in Arabic. But that's probably was derived from the India because the chai actually comes from there.

Henna isn't henna if it's not red. I believe there are some dangers associated with 'black' henna but it might just be fear-mongering.
Smells like wet tea leaves. I get the powdered stuff and add water with a metal spoon which activates it?
I like it because it doesn't damage your hair, just sits on top. Fills in all the cracks so it makes the hair look silkier.
"Black" henna is basically henna with stuff added to it. The dangerous one is called PPD and that stuff should be avoided like plague. Indigo on the other hand is just as safe as henna. If it's marketed as henna but if it says brown or black, it probably contains varying amounts of indigo. Henna stains better than indigo so there's some henna even in black, which is why the bluish black advertised here by Lush is pretty much impossible.
+Kai Sea I don't know about the metal spoon, but you can use for example chamomile tea, red wine, coffee, black tea, lemon juice or apple cider vinegar instead (or additionally to) water =)
And with the black "henna", the indigo, I've read you can add sugar and salt to the water (red or black tea, coffee or red wine as well), and the water temperature shouldn't be over 50°C while preparing the indigo
Kai Sea natural "black" henna is henna mixed with indigo. That's what lush does to get variation in tone
Hmm, is that to activate it or change the scent?
Because I find the smell quite pleasant. :>
Oooh Lush sells henna? Nice. Might have to buy from them if I can afford it.
they should do a video where freddie gets her hair completely straight
yassss
she would look so cute!
I don't think she should. Freddie seems to be about her natural curly hair instead of straight.
I know, But it would be cool to see it. She could just put it back.
but thanks for you opinion!
Is Devin part of Lady Like?!! I love her!! She brings a sort of gené sé qua... I soo butchered that... oops! Y'all know what I mean tho. Right?

I really love Devin’s hair in this video
Its really lovely
The colour + the length ✨
Breaking news: Cho Chang wants to be Lily Potter
ahahah thats what i was thinking!!! ;)
H
I am a natural red head and I henna my hair every 5 or so months. It doesn’t change my color. It just brightens and strengthens. Also for all those fellow red heads out there that get that little green patch of hair at the bottom of ur scalp (I know you do. We all do.) it fixes that right up. I love hennaing my hair. It just makes it look shiny and great.
Henna is something not to mess with . As an Indian Henna has a strong smell , a lot of people hate it's smell and it stains very quickly. Like if by mistake I get a small drop Henna on my face it's going to be there for a week ; if on ur palm or fingers , I'd recommend washing dishing without gloves and stain the stain would start fading within a week
I think different types of henna matter though, I'm an arab and I use henna once a week and it's easily washed off and the smell fades when I wash with shampoo and conditioner
I love the smell, reminds me of a barn and/or fresh hay
older arab women dye their hair with henna since the beginning of time way before chemical dyes were introduced... it's very healthy and keeps you young without a shitload of chemicals! i just hate the smell of it (i know i'm a sad excuse of an arab XD)
it's not bad for hair just impossible to remove!!
Amy Loveday yeah and unlike what they said it doesn't make your hair darker... it makes ir actually lighter... with a red effect... exactly like Saf's hair
I'm always interested in how people don't usually like the smell of it haha, I love the smell of henna for some reason!
Yeah, the smell is awful but the results are great tho. I've been using henna for a few months and is waaaaaay better than any hair dye. Love my red
Will it change the color on dark hair?
Henna is good if you wanna dye your hair for a very long time, but they must have known that, once you apply henna in your hair, is impossible to remove it, so you cannot bleach your hair to dye it until it all has grown again.
" I am the princess of caca marron " Lmao if she knew what it meant in french XD
Everyone knows that caca means poop in multiple languages.
I love your video. Very fun...and funny!
I've been using Henna for years. I use the Rainbow Henna product and it's more green than brown and I use the dark brown hair color. I also rinse in the kitchen sink with a sprayer because it's way easier and less messy. It's also easier to rinse out with the use of a good quantity of conditioner after the initial rinse. Like anything, it took practice.
I am so glad I don't have to use strong chemicals anymore. No more strong chemicals getting absorbed into my system.
I also feel good that this is much better for the environment.
Where did they even get the henna from? It's more better and easier if you get it from an Indian store
they said it was from lush
How come you answered your own question?
Nvm
Mariam H.
I do it at home 🏡 but on my hands cause I am a Indian we always have some at home 🏡
Mariam H. Lush
Of course they use lush
Buzzfeed is so predictable
When caca means poo...I was really scared of the thumbnail
In french of course you knew it
In french oc
Really? its mean poop in French too?! Also in spanish
Caca also means poop in Spanish.
Amy Hernandez yes!!!😂
I personally love henna dye, and this video is spot on. It honestly takes some time, looks like poo smeared in your hair, makes a bit of a muddy mess in the tub, and tends to lean towards red no matter what shade you get, but it looks totally natural and it conditions too. It works very well with my sensitive skin and my allergies. Henna is a temporary dye so it will fade gradually and not give you glaring roots, BUT... It will fade over time. I'd say a treatment lasts about a month or so before it starts to obviously fade. I haven't tried tried lush brand henna dye yet, but I'm curious to see how it differs from colora brand (which is far more affordable). For the record, I'm a white woman and have naturally dark brown hair with red highlights, and I'm beginning to grey (I'm in my mid 30s). I use henna dye for grey coverage and to bring my natural highlights more forward. I just used it this week for my wedding day, and was very happy with the results. I support environmentally friendly products for ethical reasons, and also have a lot of sensitivities and allergies so i lean towards natural products for those reasons as well.
can someone please tell me what kaka (caca? idk how to spell it) means? because in my language it means poop and im very confused.
français hahaha, you'd have to google up how henna is made i guess
Caca to me means poop. i think they're saying it looks like they are putting poop in their hair.
EmilyK1101 for me the pronunciation and word of kake which sound exactly like kaka, means cake.... guess how many times I've had weird looks when I've said Pepperkake, which means Gingerbread and had weird looks...yup that's the weirdness of Norwegian for you.
EmilyK1101 Yea en francais it means poop 💩 lol
EmilyK1101 yeah that's what it's meant to be, it's a joke lol

Every time they say “dingleberries” I just start laughing. I freaking love that word.
"I think my mom described my boobs as dingle berries before"
LOL
it doesn't really dye your hair, you just get a orangy/red glow in the light
That's true when you're dark haired, lighter hair is definitely dyed. I went from blond to mahogany.
Yes the lush henna is sooooo messy (but good). A great way to manage to mess is to wash your hair in the kitchen sink.
Ti. Sonders I loooove this stuff and used it for years! Might have to go back and try it out again :)
In the past I used to grate the henna block, makes it a lot smoother to apply!
flutteringazure Yeah! I grate mine too!!! And Add coffee to it lol.

Lol henna is so common here in the middle east, my mom prepares it all the time. Except we have it as powder and just add water, oil, and tea if you want

in french too
And Serbian! 😆
I use henna once every week, I usually add some oils since I don't use it for hair colour, oils will probably just block the colour, my hair is stronger and thicker and it grows faster now, and there are light reddish highlights😁👌🏻
Henna(mehendi) is common in India
It will strengthen your hair, reduce hair fall and cover your grey hairs
Mix it with a egg or yogurt for shiny smooth hair
